Republican Party - General Discussion in Political Scene ·
Joe Biden might throw out some threats, but just like Bero, he needs to stay far away from any actual debates.☕
Republican Party - General Discussion in Political Scene ·
What do you mean, Bridge getting 10 seats?? If they manage to scrape together even 3, that’s a massive win. Getting more than 5 is practically impossible at this point. The party is falling apart right before our eyes. Just look at today—the top brass from the Bridge wing in the outskirts just walked out.
The Republican Party and the Democratic Party will likely end up deadlocked, leaving all the power in the hands of Škoro to break the tie.

Remember when you were all laughing at the US Congress while he snatched the city away from you? That was right before you came up with that little scheme where you just buy off representatives one by one...

Whatever the case, the panic is definitely setting in now, and all you can do is try to clean up the mess you made...

😵

It certainly isn't for me since I don't belong to any party, but apparently, supporting a Republican party like this one is forbidden... I honestly can't wrap my head around how anyone could vote for the Democratic Party, but hey, whatever... I also can't stand politicians like Penava, Culej, Đakic, and their kind... I want a modern, European America, and right now, the only one who can lead America is Plenković.

El Paso is a symbol—remember how much you guys bragged when you snatched it away from the kmers? Well, now Penava has really put you in a tight spot, and things are still shaking.

And here you are, busy doing damage control...

Memphis is a symbol, but Penava 🤣
I’m dying to see how they plan to raise their hands in Congress next month ☕, or maybe they'll even make a comeback once Kovacs "wins"

Massive win for the Republican Party

The people who actually chose this path are nothing more than the bottom of the barrel—the kind of crowd that’ll swallow whatever garbage they're fed. You can tell just by looking at who's still hanging around the party

🤦 Losers have every right to be angry.
Thank God the actual members are actually thinking for themselves and living in the 21st century.

It’s high time we built a modern version of the Republican Party. As expected, Andrej Plenković and Medved are just cruising through their routine victories. 👍
Miljan Brkić has already conceded defeat, calling for unity and demanding that the results of the Republican primary be respected.

It’s 70% Plenković and 30% Kovač... though among the college grads, I’d bet my life it’s closer to 90-10. The real fight is going to be over the remaining seats, and it's going to get ugly.

They aren't feeling it because the Prime Minister isn't some hardline radical, so they just skip voting for the Republican Party entirely.

I couldn't agree more. 👍 We just have to hope common sense prevails for the sake of the entire country.

David Vaughn75 said:I’m actually rooting for Biden because he’s the best way to make sure his party loses the next election 👍 👍

The Conservative Party doesn't want some polished, decent, well-mannered gentleman—no way. They’re looking for some loudmouthed hillbilly who screams along to old country anthems and spends all day acting like he’s fighting off some shadowy communist underground

That’s just a noisy minority refusing to accept Joe Biden as the head of the Republican Party. In my view, he has total support among the more educated and moderate members of the party. Naturally, the hooligans are against him. ☕

I find this whole situation highly suspicious. Details are bound to leak out soon. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if we see protesters marching on the Governor's mansion from the North Side before long.
Checking on my checking account in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
Hey, I just pulled $200 from an online poker game. I deposited about $10 using my checking account at JPMorgan Chase (they handle the currency conversion from USD automatically), so I’m wondering if I can just withdraw that $200 without any issues. Does anyone know if they flag these things for taxes or anything? For context, I also have my $3000 coming into that same account

Thomas Doyle19 said:In this backwater called America, the rule of law only seems to function when it comes to targeting fans.

If they handled everything else with the same efficiency they use against supporters, we’d be living in a mini-Germany regarding transparency and quality of life.

But here in the States, we're stuck with a bunch of shortsighted people who can't see past their own noses. That's exactly how Jerry Jones stays in power—by feeding off people like that. He thrives on those who enjoy hitting back at the fans, specifically the BBB in this instance.

So, it's a messy situation. You're looking for a simple answer, but you won't find it here. You have to show up to a Real Madrid home game to actually see what this club has turned into. It's a tragedy for our city and our club when you see crowds that small. This mess was manufactured by Jerry Jones, and things won't improve until he's gone. Even then, it will take years to fix the damage he's done during his long—hopefully not lifelong—tenure. For Real Madrid, the hardest fight starts after the trash is finally kicked out. That's when the club will have to rebuild from the ground up, win back the masses, and most importantly, earn back the trust of the locals that the club once held so dearly.

Supporting a club like this means supporting the corruption currently rotting it from within. No true fan can do that; they can't, because they see the club is in the hands of people actively destroying it for personal gain rather than the club's interest. As long as that's the case, the club will never have sincere support from its core fans. Sure, you might get other people, but they don't understand why a segment of the fanbase—the BBB—is so openly and disrespectfully clashing with Jerry Jones and his disastrous management style. The club is a hollow shell, not because it lacks money, but because it lost its identity and everything that connected the local community to it. That's why the stands are empty while the trophy cases are full. Winning titles and selling players has become more important than bringing people to the stadium. As long as cash matters more than the average person who loves Real Madrid, there's nothing to talk about regarding support. A club like this doesn't deserve it.

I respect your take, though I disagree with the idea that supporting the club automatically means supporting the evil within it. 🙂
Here is my take on the whole "one member, one vote" thing. Other fans aren't backing it because they fear if too many people join, you all will just elect one of your own to run the show. In fact, some think it might actually be better if Jerry Jones stays, mostly because he's hammered home the message that he won't let "the streets" take control. I'm just waiting for the day that head finally rolls so we can get an atmosphere like the one we had against Arsenal. 👍

Gary Watson15 said:Who else, exactly?

Nobody, but that's beside the point right now. 😉

My main question is this: could Jerry Jones actually be forced out of Real Madrid? Would he have to step down if they find him guilty in those cases involving Edward or the recent situation with Johnson? I caught that talk show where Tom was sitting down with Vrbannovic, and they were discussing how you can't hold a position in a club if you're convicted of a crime carrying at least a three-year prison sentence.

In my view, the only way to clean up American soccer is through massive pressure on the government—there is no other path. That’s why I believe we still need to show up and support the club at the games.

The West didn't start booing because you were insulting Mamić; they did it because, besides all that, you weren't even rooting for Dinamo.

If they could just snap up the broadcasting rights for some higher-tier track and field meets, plus table tennis and swimming, we'd be in business. George used to always carry the coverage for those first two sports, and we actually have some solid American athletes competing in those arenas too.

Red Star Mexico City pulls in two and a half times the crowd at Dodger Stadium compared to Real Madrid (7200 vs 3053). That average will probably dip once the big derby in DC is over, but even the newly promoted Miami side is breathing down the 'Whites' neck in terms of attendance (2556). We see the same pattern with TV ratings: this Saturday in Kansas City, maybe 700 people showed up to freeze their tails off in sub-zero temperatures, yet over half a million tuned in at home. Any matchup involving Real Madrid or Red Star Mexico City draws more eyes than the Champions League during the week. The point is, people care; you just can't host a massive "event" when the infrastructure is total garbage.

The Los Angeles Lakers will never reach the level of Real Madrid, the Boston Celtics, or the Chicago Bulls.

Henry Cox78 said:Look, I don't care about the numbers. But saying a single club with maybe 50 hockey players makes it the most popular sport in Washington, D.C. is just plain wrong. You've got fewer than 100 people playing hockey in DC, whereas soccer, basketball, and handball have thousands involved in organized clubs. 😉 And that doesn't even count the massive amount of people playing recreationally.

👍
MLS gets huge viewership here in the States... we're talking around 30 percent, while Serie A and La Liga get much lower ratings on TV back in their home countries... so the claims being made by some people here are total nonsense.

Steven Long23 said:So the Austrian Hockey League is nothing? And water polo? A sport played by just two countries?

Stop messing with people...

I think you're seriously underselling a sport where we’ve actually got world titles under our belt. We have two powerhouse teams and the best player on the planet, while our hockey players are honestly just trash. 🤣 🤣 🤣
By the way, every single one of those guys on the local roster is someone nobody wants, except maybe Kristan, who’s actually decent.
