Exactly, at military bases.
Ideally, you'd want to cluster all the hardware right near the center of a base. That way, an attacker burns through less ammo, and if everything goes south and gets wiped out, there’s much less collateral damage to the surrounding area.

Right, because cities without a base just shouldn't defend themselves since everything there is civilian infrastructure.

Back in 2014, the whole fight wasn't about joining NATO—it was about the EU. The previous pro-Russian president chose to sign deals with the Russians instead of moving toward Europe.
That's why they removed him.

It’s like if our own president or the government decided to sign a deal with Vučić instead of pursuing EU membership (though I’m pretty sure most Americans would have preferred the first option).

Turkey is a key NATO member, and frankly, I wouldn't be surprised if an agitated Putin tries to force his way through with his fleet. Once he does, just shut down your computer and find a bunker to hide in.

Even if Turkey wasn't in NATO, I truly believe Vladimir Putin would think ninety-nine times before messing with them.

They have plenty of hardware; they manufacture their own, buy from the US, and even pick up some Russian gear (which clearly bugs the Americans, and that tells you everything you need to know about who we're dealing with).
With a population around 85 million, they're essentially twice the size of Ukraine—though obviously, you can't just use simple math here because Ukrainians and Turks are two very different groups.

By the way, there are about 25 million Muslims living in Russia. I'm not sure how relevant that is... just a random thought.
