Federal Reserve - overdraft limits in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
Hey everyone,

Does anyone happen to know how long it typically takes to get an overdraft approved at JPMorgan Chase?

I submitted my application last Friday afternoon. They told me I’d likely hear something by the beginning of this week—maybe Monday or Tuesday—but I haven't seen any movement yet.

Has anyone else dealt with them recently?
Stupid Tics in Psychology & Therapy ·
These damn nervous tics are driving me absolutely insane whenever I get stressed out. And it’s not just a fleeting thing, either; it lasts for days or even weeks at a time, and I just can't seem to make it stop.

I've been dealing with tics since I was a kid—I had them all the time back then—but obviously, I didn't understand what they were or why they were happening. Now that I'm an adult, I realize it's probably just my body's way of venting all that built-up frustration, anxiety, or insecurity... basically, what happens when your head just can't process everything you're going through.

For the longest time, they actually went away on their own. Then they flared up briefly during high school, but lately, I've been under constant pressure—between work stress, personal issues, and some deep-seated insecurities—and now I'm stuck with this persistent nose tic. 🙂🙂
Is it actually possible to get rid of tics through sheer willpower or conscious effort? Has anyone here actually managed to kick them? Or am I just stuck waiting for them to vanish on their own? I feel like I'm losing my mind dealing with this...
Double chin issues in Health ·
I’m bringing this thread back up because I’m really hoping some of you actually found success with these chin exercises. If you managed to see some real results, please, let me know how it went?

Also, does hitting the gym regularly—specifically lifting weights—combined with a diet high in protein and healthy fats, make any kind of difference when it comes to getting rid of a double chin???
Looking for a specialist... in Health ·
Does anyone happen to know what the average wait time is for a gastroenterologist appointment lately?

Also, if anyone has a solid recommendation for a specialist, please let me know. We all know not everyone in the field is cut from the same cloth when it comes to expertise.
Thanks!

Honestly, gender doesn't matter to me—male or female, I'm open to it—and I don't really care where you're from. I'm just looking for some good conversation.

I honestly think it would be best if someone more reserved stepped up—someone maybe a bit shy or just a little out of place in a crowd. I’m pretty much that same way myself, so I feel like we’re probably the only ones who would truly get where the other is coming from.

Honestly, I’m just looking for someone to bounce some ideas off of—just a bit of intellectual back-and-forth.

Just repeating this here.

Hey there 🙂

I'm a 27-year-old woman living in Washington, D.C., looking to connect with someone around my age. I'd love to start out just chatting online, but if things go well, I'm open to becoming friends—maybe grabbing a drink, heading out for a night on the town, or catching a concert together. For now, though, I’m really just looking for some good conversation, so if that sounds like your speed, feel free to reach out 🙂

Just a heads-up: I tend to be a bit more low-key and reserved, especially when I'm still getting to know someone. I wanted to mention that in case you prefer people who are more outgoing 😁. It’s totally up to you, though; I don't want to impose my personality on anyone.
Hey,

Can anyone tell me if the co-pay for those without Supplemental Health Insurance is still $3.25, or has it gone up?

I'm looking specifically at what it costs for dentist visits, eye exams (just check-ups), and getting referrals—does the same rate apply to all of that $3.25 or what?

Thanks in advance...

On that note, I stumbled upon an excellent piece titled 7 Reasons Why you will never do anything Amazing with Your Life. Just search for it on Google or whatever search engine you prefer; I won't drop the link here since I'm not entirely sure if it violates the forum rules.

Why "settled on"? It sounds like you don't actually want to be happy, but rather like you're just resigned to it because you have no other choice... though, hey, if there isn't a better way, I guess I'll settle for being happy too. 😬I've clearly been under the impression all this time that everyone actually *wants* to be happy in life; it's just that some people manage it better than others.

In my view, the most important thing is to just be authentic—to be yourself, listen to your own gut, and travel your own path. Other people can certainly be there to offer guidance, give advice, or give you a little nudge when you need it, but if you don't actually know where you want to go, what makes you happy, or what doesn't, then nobody else can really help you much. It comes down to a certain kind of healthy selfishness; that’s the foundation for everything. Of course, we all get swept up in the crowd or succumb to mass hypnosis from time to time, listening to everyone else instead of ourselves, but that’s what life is for—learning through trial and error. 🙂 I'm still figuring some of this stuff out myself; you can't really grow without going through that process. 🙂
As for the idea that being harder on people makes them respect or listen to you more—I couldn't disagree more. That's honestly such nonsense. There will always be people looking for victims to exploit, but you shouldn't lump everyone into that category or feel like you have to wear a mask just to interact with the world. You just need to stop hanging out with the wrong crowd and find the people you can truly open up to without fear of judgment. You know, that feeling when you just "click" with someone... that instant connection. 😁

Angela Gray12 said:Honestly, anyone who actually knows the answer to that question doesn't even bother sweating the small stuff because they don't see the point.
I'm right there with you... I figured out the same thing a while back and just sat there in disbelief. It’s wild how the absolute bottom-feeders—the people who treat everyone else like dirt—always seem to come out on top, while the folks who nitpick every little detail get left in the dust. Why? Who knows. Most people around here will probably claim those "nitpickers" just lack a backbone, but what actually worries me is that society ends up judging the people without spines instead of the predators using them as doormats, punching bags, or total fools to manipulate. It’s like that whole social media frenzy where everyone jumps on a girl dating an abusive guy, yet nobody seems to give a damn about the actual monster he is.

The worst part is pretending to be something you're not. If you're a decent person and you do what's right, but you still end up being labeled an idiot or told you have no guts... well, so be it. At the end of the day, when you do things for others, you're really doing them for yourself. That’s just who you are, period.
It isn't some deep, heavy philosophy.😁

Take what I’ve seen—and frankly, what I’ve dealt with myself. There are people who look at nothing but their own interests. They wear these masks, acting all confident and charming, playing the role of the quintessential extrovert. But I've realized that most of them are the exact opposite of the persona they project. Once you see through the act and accept that they're just flawed humans, they’ll start treating you like trash. They'll do everything in their power to push you away—or rather, make sure you walk away yourself—because they can't stand the thought of looking like a bad person in front of others.
Anyone who puts on a performance or feels "too much" right from the jump usually ends up being a fleeting character in my life. I'd much rather deal with people who have flaws, who have outbursts, who are honest and vulnerable enough to admit to themselves and others that they're fighting their own demons. I prefer someone facing their issues head-on rather than someone running away from who they truly are.

Exactly, I couldn't have put it better myself. 🙂
There is real strength in revealing your vulnerabilities, and even more strength in tackling the weaknesses that hold you back.
Nowadays, it feels like everyone is way too obsessed with these perceived "terrible" flaws we all carry. Everyone treats their own shortcomings like they're catastrophic, and there's this pressure to fit into some perfect mold. If you aren't perfectly aligned with that standard, or if you're just a little bit different, suddenly you're seen as a failure. 🙄
