It’s likely just because the air in the rooms you're hanging out in is incredibly dry. You might want to try adding some humidity back into the environment.

Beyond just checking your shoes, you could also take a look at what you're wearing.

Synthetic fabrics and wool tend to build up quite a bit of static electricity through friction.

Maybe try avoiding synthetic fabrics for a bit and swap out those shoes for something else.

If you happen to be near a metal radiator, just touch it once in a while to help bleed off that static buildup.
