Dealing with resentment toward my parents in Psychology ·
Oh, please. You actually hate your parents just because you don't have a car yet? That’s low, man—seriously. I’d love to hear your take if you’d had to grow up totally on your own, or even worse, if you were being raised by a single parent. Imagine having to pull a full-time job starting in middle school just to afford your textbooks, your supplies, and helping out with rent and utilities so your parent could actually keep a roof over your head... I don't have a car either, and I live with my mom, but I sure as hell don't hate her. She gave me life—she gave me everything, honestly. Sure, I've worked my tail off to earn most of what I have, but that's just made me more mature, you know? Life's a tough teacher. So, look, just sit down and talk to them like a decent human being and realize there are way worse situations out there than this little 😉
situation you're dealing with.
Ear Piercing Advice? in Health ·
Chloe Rodriguez74 said:I didn't see anything about this in the search bar, so sorry if I missed it... But honestly, I've tried getting my ears pierced at least three times now, and every single time, something goes wrong. When I was a kid, I took my earrings out way too early and the holes just closed up. Then, the second time, I tried wearing some cheap-ass jewelry—like, before the two-week mark—and they got super inflamed. The third time, I even went for titanium, and they still ended up swelling up... So, I guess I'm looking for your experiences—is there any point in trying a fourth time? Or if they get irritated once, is it just going to happen every single time? Maybe I should try a different metal or something.. 🤷

So, I recently went and got my ears pierced—again—and honestly? It’s the exact same old story. Like, I don't even know what the deal is anymore. I mean, yeah, things have calmed down for a second, but if I don't keep something in there constantly, my holes just close up immediately. It's such a pain.
