Fashion for curvy girls in Fashion ·
My mother used to handle repairs by basically just patching things up on the sewing machine. She’d tuck a scrap of fabric inside—something old, but with a color that matched the denim closely enough—and then just run a mountain of zig-zag stitches over it to hold everything in place. If you knew what to look for, though, you could always spot where the pants had been patched. 🤷

Right now, I'm actually weighing my options on how to bribe my mom into fixing all of my husband's jeans for me, seeing as I don't own a sewing machine and haven't the slightest clue how to operate one. 😵
Ovaries: Cysts and related issues [General Discussion] in Women's Health ·
Hi there! I’m looking for some experienced voices to help me "calm down" this weekend.😵

I hope I’ve landed in the right spot here. I was at an ultrasound appointment today, and the results show a 13 mm fibroid and a corpus luteum of 20 mm. I actually asked the technician performing the scan to explain what that meant, since I’ve never dealt with anything like this before—even though I stay on top of my regular gynecological exams and ultrasounds. The guy who performed the scan was honestly such a jerk; he’s one of those people you hear about constantly in the news lately, and he wouldn't tell me a single thing. He just pivoted the monitor toward me for a second so I could see the fibroid. He pointed at it three times, finally realizing I was completely spiraling, and then tried to smooth things over by saying it wasn't important and everything was fine. It was the exact same story with the corpus luteum. He made a face like the situation was incredibly serious, only to backtrack and claim it wasn't scary either. I felt so unsettled afterward, even though his assistant told me everything was perfectly normal and that I shouldn't worry—and then she just went about her business like nothing had happened. I kept pushing him to explain things to me in plain English, since I'm a layperson who has never faced these kinds of issues, but he just brushed me off, saying my own doctor would explain everything when I see them on Monday. Now, naturally, I'm a nervous wreck.

Of course, I ended up Googling, and that fibroid is doing nothing to ease my mind. Even the corpus luteum doesn't seem to be flagged as a problem anywhere online, but I just can't shake that look on his face or the fact that he refused to give me any real answers. I have until Monday to try and wrap my head around all of this.😵

Does anyone here have any experience with this?
Hormonal Contraception: The Pill [General Discussion] in Women's Health ·
What kind of experiences have you all had with this? For years now, I’ve been on birth control due to various health reasons. I’ve taken breaks before, but it’s been far too long, and honestly, I can’t quite recall what things felt like before I started.

I finally stopped taking Diane after about three and a half years, and now I’m navigating that whole adjustment period where my cycle length tries to find its footing again... how long does that process typically take for you all? 🤔

My first period after coming off was 23 days after stopping. The following month came at 25 days, and this most recent one arrived at 24—though I was feeling pretty under the weather, so I suppose I might be blaming the flu for that bit of timing. It all just feels somewhat rushed to me.

In my opinion, Focus is easily the most reliable option in our area, especially since they don't go hiking with their prices every other week. Though, I can't say for certain if they've started acting a bit more high-maintenance over the last few months... 😁 I honestly feel terrible that I wasn't able to book them; I would have been more than happy to cover their travel expenses, but I suppose they just weren't looking for more work at the time. 🙄 These shots are absolutely stunning—truly top-tier concepts! 😍

Krizmanić is quite professional! I attended a wedding back in October where they were the photographers, and they were so discreet throughout the whole event; they followed every single instruction perfectly, and the final gallery was simply excellent.

I find it hard to believe they’re actually filing for bankruptcy... It just doesn't pass the smell test to me that Nikolin would be going under while others stay afloat. I was actually there just the other day for a fitting, and the woman I spoke with mentioned how they're constantly running these sales because the competition has become so fierce now that brides are doing all their searching online instead of walking into shops. Back in October, they held this big clearance on wedding gowns, though most of them were just outdated styles that weren't particularly impressive to begin with. They have another decent discount running right now, but it’s always tied to a specific deadline—once that window closes, they just pivot and launch another "big sale" to keep people coming in. On top of those seasonal clearances, they also have a selection of dresses in the showroom that they charge quite a hefty rental fee for.

Where on earth did you hear that they were heading toward bankruptcy?

Hey there, where do you usually pick up your rosemary, and what kind of price range are we looking at these days?

I attended a wedding at Teni back in October. The venue itself is decent enough, though the layout felt somewhat peculiar, if you ask me. I found myself questioning the placement of the head table; the room is quite elongated, with the entrance on one end and the newlyweds positioned all the way at the other. Since the band and stage are situated right in the middle, if you happen to be seated near the door, the couple looks like tiny little ants from your perspective... 🤷 And goodness, I was freezing! The music they played was rather mediocre, which didn't exactly inspire me to hit the dance floor, and by the time midnight rolled around, I was practically shivering through my clothes.

My partner and I are heading to a Small Town, USA next week to pick out some wedding bands. The jeweler there is American and can custom-make just about anything you can imagine. I think I’ll do a bit of research online and perhaps bring a photo to show him, just in case nothing in his current collection catches my eye. Once we get everything sorted, I’ll be sure to share the name of the jeweler with you all, though I don't have it off the top of my head since my partner's colleague is driving us there. Her own wedding was just two months ago, and she managed to get her bands for around 200 dollars with a discount.

We also completed our pre-cana course... ☕ My goodness, what a waste of beautiful weather! Where on earth were you rustyjackal26?

I must admit, I haven't really put down any deposits yet, aside from securing the band. I suppose I’ve been lucky because here in Canada, weddings aren't really a year-round affair—you know, since relatives traveling from Germany or Switzerland can usually only make it over during the summer 🤣. In July and August, however, there are weddings every single day of the week, and they cram four or five couples into the church at once; you truly wouldn't believe your eyes if you saw 🤣. Because of that, I'm not too worried about anyone "snatching" my vendors. Besides, they don't even ask for a deposit. I’m traveling to a Small Town, USA in February, so I’ll double-check everything then (for the hundredth time, I'm sure). I actually tried calling them under a different name to see if I could book my slot, but they wouldn't let me. They hold the date for me without any money down. 😍 Honestly, those Canadians—they are such wonderful people.

But now, I’m feeling a bit anxious regarding the cake situation... You all really reminded me! It hadn't crossed my mind at all. I mean, I've never been a bride before, so I'm still learning! 😁 Now I need to find out if I need to book a professional or if the venue provides something, or if I can just bring my own. And what kind of price range should I realistically be looking at?

Hey there! Just checking in! Hope everyone is having an absolutely stellar day! kaže:
Hey everyone! I could really use some help picking out the music for my wedding party. Right now, I’ve narrowed it down to two main choices: The Beach Boys from Indianapolis or The Beach Boys. I'm totally open to any and all suggestions! Every single comment helps!

The Beach Boys are totally alright! I haven't really heard much about The Beach Boys, though. 😬

Is Babylon from Memphis? I actually caught them playing at a wedding once, and man, they were absolutely incredible! 👍

It’s definitely Dragan from Chicago. Seriously, that woman is a total pro—hands down the best in the business! 😍 iPhone using Tapatalk

Oh, not literally! Every single member actually hails from a different city—you've got people from Memphis, Indianapolis, Savannah, and Akron—but since they just picked up a female vocalist from Memphis, most of them technically call Vinkulja home now! 🤣 That said, they travel all over the place for gigs. In fact, they’re actually scheduled to play for me out in Livno! A guy mentioned to me that it's quite the adventure for them, and they're even hoping to recruit some local talent from that area down the road.

To be perfectly honest, I’ve never even heard of the second group, and frankly, the feedback on the first one has been a bit hit-or-miss. Personally, I just listen to Babylon, and they're actually the ones I ended up booking—even though I haven't had the pleasure of seeing them live yet, since every single person I asked kept raving about them. It wasn't until much later that I caught some videos of them online, and I have to say, they are hands down the most impressive of the bunch. So, that's where we stand; once we officially pull the trigger on them, we'll have to cover both their fee and their travel expenses, considering the wedding is going to be held in Canada.

silentraven18 said:Hey ladies, I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good florist around the Columbus, Warsaw, Indianapolis, or Savannah areas? 🙂

I suppose I wouldn't mind looking in Pittsburgh, either 🙂

There is this one woman over in Ivankov! A couple of my girlfriends and an acquaintance of mine all used her for floral arrangements, and they were absolutely thrilled with the results. I would have to double-check the specific name later on, though I find it hard to believe there are five different florists in a town like Ivankov. Her pricing is quite reasonable, but you really do need to call ahead and schedule an appointment, mostly because she stays so incredibly booked up.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Kadivnik lately, and honestly, I’m quite pleased with the care, even if my friend isn't particularly thrilled about her experience. Now, full disclosure: I haven't actually dealt with a pregnancy yet, whereas she has, and from what I can gather, she has two main gripes—specifically regarding the accuracy of determining the baby's gender and some perceived awkwardness during appointments, though I personally haven't experienced any of that discomfort myself.

As for the office number, don't bother even trying to call. They have a nurse working there who is just so incredibly absorbed in her work, constantly busy trying to bring order to a chaotic swarm of frantic patients, that there simply isn't a spare second to pick up the phone. I learned that lesson the hard way firsthand!
