Dealing with hemorrhoids – any advice? in Health ·
So, I used to deal with hemorrhoids for a while, and yeah, there was some bleeding involved.
But lately, it’s more like these protrusions that don't really pop or bleed (well, hardly ever).
They're right at the anus, and they only "pop out" when I'm actually on the toilet. Sometimes they don't just slide back in on their own, so I have to... you know, fix it manually. (Ugh, honestly, it's the only way it works).
I haven't actually seen a doctor about this yet because, let's be real, it's super awkward. 🤦
Is this still "just" hemorrhoids, or do you guys think it could be something else entirely?
I've been thinking about getting a colonoscopy, but since those are notoriously uncomfortable, I'm really dreading it.🤦
What an absolute banger of a game!
Honestly, I’m stoked the Danes pulled it off—huge respect to them! 🎉

I've dealt with hemorrhoids for a long time, but they never really bothered me this much...
Today was a total disaster.
Everything just came out at once, blood everywhere....😲...if you're easily grossed out, go read a different thread. 🤔
My digestion has been acting super weird the last few days. I'm hitting the bathroom several times a day. Honestly, I got a little spooked by how frequent it's been.
But I'm pretty sure my main issue is all the sitting. I barely move an inch.
Ever since this whole COVID-19 mess started, I've been working mostly from home, usually glued to my armchair. It sounds cozy, but spending 8 hours straight stuck in one chair is brutal. 😵 - and then I spend the rest of my day in that same chair, too.
Even when I actually get out, like grabbing groceries or a coffee—it's still basically zero movement.
Basically, the chemicals are out and they just won't settle back down....it's going to take a minute....
But I told myself: starting today, I am walking every single day!!
And tonight, I might even try that "natural" potato remedy....
Uffff....
Has anyone here bought special cushions, or do you use something specific to sit on?

Maybe it’s also because the weather is finally turning around—spring is hitting, everything's getting warmer and nicer... and they expect you to just stay cooped up inside? 😵...And if you have little kids, how the hell are you supposed to deal with that? 🤷
Rebecca Roberts8 said:What did you put down as the reason? For one time or longer?

Ugh, I already typed out my reply, but then the site logged me out mid-sentence. Total pain.🤦

For the reason, I picked "Travel due to essential family matters, such as providing care..." blah blah blah...
It’s just one of those multiple-choice options they give you, and that one was the closest thing to what's actually going on with me.
I selected "one-time," looking for April 4th specifically, but the system wouldn't let me. When I called them up, they just set the dates for April 2nd through the 5th.

I think I mentioned this here before—it's probably because April 4th is the cutoff date when the old passes expire.
Whatever, honestly, I'm just glad I got it.😁
And if I need one again, we'll cross that bridge when we come to it...
After getting my pass rejected twice, I finally called them up (the local FEMA office) and they told me there was some glitch in the system—something about date formatting or whatever—so they went ahead and approved it.
I’m telling you, it was a total headache; I spent the entire day dealing with this nonsense.🤦

Basically, if I live in Municipality A, but I own land over in Municipality B, and I need a permit to travel to Municipality B—who am I actually supposed to deal with? Do I go to the local Emergency Management headquarters in Municipality A, or should I be contacting the authorities in Municipality B?

And what does "getting a permit" actually entail here? Am I asking Municipality A for permission to leave, or am I asking Municipality B for permission to enter?

I was wondering the exact same thing.
Town A straight-up denied me. They wouldn't give me a permit.
So, should I try getting it through Town B instead? Since that's where I'm actually headed?

Then again, my situation is even more of a headache because I need a permit for Town C.😁
I'm starting in A, passing through B, just to reach C.
(It's not like it's a massive distance, it's just way too many towns and bureaucrats involved, ugh)🤔
George Murphy12 said:We already have a thread for passes, so it’d be smart to keep all the intel in one spot for the people actually looking for answers...

No biggie, it’s just that this whole mess actually started right here on this site...
copperwolf16 said:Since this field is my area of expertise, I was genuinely curious about the mechanics behind this new digital permit rollout. From the moment they went live, I've been closely monitoring how the system handles the load.
Naturally—and this is typical behavior for government bureaucrats—the system failed to function when it actually mattered, though in all honesty, I wasn't expecting much more. If they can manage to get it operational within the next few days, we might actually call that a success. As it stands right now, every time I attempt to submit an application, I am met with this error:

×Request not sent. An unexpected error has occurred.

I have verified that every single piece of data entered is correct. This "unexpected" error is likely nothing unexpected at all; rather, it is the predictable result of some overworked IT staff frantically scrambling to keep the whole thing from collapsing. They simply bit off more than they could chew—it would be a genuine miracle if this had worked on schedule.
Has anyone here actually managed to successfully submit an e-permit yet?

After wasting half an hour fighting with the site, I finally managed to submit mine (mostly by following these instructions,

I was pretty stoked.
Then, out of nowhere, I get an email.
And at the top of the permit, it says: Permit is invalid
Now I’m stuck trying to figure out why.
Am I allowed to swear here? Because I am seriously losing my mind.🙂
I swear, these permits are going to be the death of me.🙂
I called them up the other day just to get the lowdown, and they basically told me there’s no way I’m getting one.
I’ve got some farmland—enough to keep me busy, anyway—over in the next county, and now they’re telling me I can’t even access it! 😲🤔
It’s absolutely infuriating!🙂
I’m planning on heading down there this Saturday; I’ll see if they finally send me an email. If that doesn't happen, I’m just going to show up in person and look them in the eye. 🙂
We'll see how it goes.
How long are these new passes actually good for?
Is it 1, 7, 14... how many days we talking?
Or are they just gonna play it by ear on a case-by-case basis?😕
So, what am I supposed to do here?
I’ve got this little patch of land outside my Municipality, along with an old abandoned house. Honestly, I don't really have any social contact with anyone besides MM.
I head out there every now and then to plant some stuff. It’s strictly for my own use—we aren't running a formal farm or anything, just growing food for ourselves.
But you’ve gotta look after it, right? Otherwise, how are you even supposed to maintain the place?
So, what's the move? Should I go down to Civil Defense and tell them the whole truth?
I tried doing some digging over the phone and called the local Ministry of Agriculture, and they're telling me Civil Defense won't let me touch it unless I'm registered as a formal farm.
I think I'm gonna give it a shot anyway (I mean, if I don't try, I'll never know, right?).
What do you guys think?

Look, just go see a doctor 🙂 and get some actual help instead of coming on here to trash talk everyone else to make yourself feel better.
Doctors aren't perfect, but most of them actually know what they're doing....😉

brightwalker32 said:I already had some mild brain damage from chemical exposure (symptoms included: partial emotional numbness, sexual dysfunction, cognitive issues, tinnitus, occasional insomnia, and trouble regulating body temp). Then, at the ER, they just gave me Torecan without even asking me—which I absolutely did not want. Since then, my life has been a living hell. It’s been two months now. This second hit made my condition a thousand times worse. That first week, I could barely talk, eat, or walk. I got past that part. But now? I’ve got almost total emotional numbness (which has basically ruined my life), complete sexual dysfunction, even worse cognitive decline, worsening tinnitus, shallow sleep plus even worse insomnia, chronic fatigue, dysautonomia (racing heart and issues sweating), partial loss of skin sensation, diminished sense of smell and taste, and more frequent vision issues. With my initial damage, I could still live a decent life despite the bad days. After this second hit, my life is destroyed. I'm only 23. I had so many plans for the future, from finishing school to getting married, and now I'm just trying to survive and I don't know if I can. I can't stop asking "why me."

So, what do you actually do for a living?🤔
Look, I had big plans too, and honestly, we all do...
And since you're acting like such an expert by searching up all the negatives online (like for different medications and stuff), why don't you try being smart and Google the positives for once?
Where are your parents in all of this? Your family?
To me, this sounds like a massive case of depression, which isn't something you fix by using Google...

So last night I was grinding away at some Excel spreadsheets, adding comments to cells and all that.
Then suddenly, my mouse just goes rogue!
Everywhere I click, it selects a massive area? Like, everything turns gray?
I close the file, reopen it, and it’s still doing it. Even on my desktop, if I click once, it grabs a whole bunch of icons at once!
I’ll double-click one thing and the computer just starts opening every single window I have open!

I probably fat-fingered something while I was doing copy-paste.

Can anyone help me out?

It doesn't sound like a huge deal, but I'm totally stuck.🤷
I could keep messing around with it, but seriously, HELP!🙂

Ugh, never mind my little meltdown. When I jumped back on this morning, everything was working perfectly!!!! Awesome!!!! Honestly, I don't even care what happened, as long as it works!🙏😁
Help!
I was messing around in Excel last night, adding all sorts of comments to cells and stuff.
Then, out of nowhere, my mouse just stops working right!
Every single time I click, it selects this huge chunk of the screen instead. It’s like everything gets highlighted.
I tried closing the file and reopening it, but nope—same exact thing. Even when I’m just looking at my desktop, clicking one icon suddenly grabs a bunch of them at once!
If I double-click one thing, it opens a whole mess of windows.

I probably fat-fingered some setting while I was doing copy-paste.

Can anyone help me out here?

It doesn't sound like a massive disaster, but I am totally stuck.🤷
I could keep clicking around aimlessly, but honestly, HELP!🙂
Wage garnishments and collections in Law ·
I was scrolling through this forum a bit ago, but honestly, I’m not sure if all the legal stuff and rules posted at the start are even still up to date.
I've got my eye on a condo going up for public auction, but I'm totally lost on what that actually entails. Like, how does the whole process even work? Is it enough to just show up on the day? And if nobody else shows up to bid besides me, would it be smarter to sit tight and wait for a second or third auction to see if the price drops?
Also, is there a specific amount set by the Consumer Protection Act that you have to put down upfront to participate, or is it just whatever they feel like asking? Most importantly—if I actually "win" the bid and confirm I'm buying it, how much time do I have to cough up the full payment?
😕
Help me out here,
I totally messed up while building a pivot table. In one of the columns pulling from another worksheet via a VLOOKUP, I accidentally selected the entire column instead of just the data range. Now, in the sheet where that VLOOKUP lives, everything from my actual data down to the bottom of the spreadsheet is showing those annoying #N/A errors. It’s making my file size absolutely massive. How do I unselect the whole damn column and fix this?
This might be a total rookie move, but I'm stuck and honestly don't know what else to try. 🙂
