Wait, you mean through that "send us an email" link at the bottom of the page?

I'm with the OP on this one.
It’d be awesome if they fixed it. I’m tired of seeing that little pop-up in Firefox telling me the site isn't secure every single time I try to log in.

I realize we can't use the old software anymore and have to use that link instead. Hopefully, everything gets sorted out before the deadline.

They finally emailed me today saying my application is being processed.
Man, they sure take their sweet time. 🙄

Following the IRS instructions, I just downloaded that official root certificate.

Did you get that file from the IRS labeled "new cd"? (At least that's what I saw)
If you did, just run it all the way through. Once it finishes, it should tell you to restart your PC.

You’ll need to install the driver for that gray USB drive.
The old disc didn't include it, but this new one does.

Make sure you install all three certificates into one folder:
Trusted Root Certification Authorities
Once that's done, try heading over to the IRS website to log in.
If it doesn't work, check my last post where I talked about requesting those tax credits via email.

That old app you installed on your computer? It's officially obsolete.
You gotta log in through the website now:
https://www.irs.gov/

If the login says you don't have authorization, just try registering.
Still getting an error saying your certificate isn't valid? You'll need to call customer service. They didn't even start working until 1 PM today. 🙄

Since I ran into that issue myself, here’s what you need to do:
Email their support team at support@irs.gov
with these details:
- Your certificate name, like John Doe xxxxx.x.x. (that ID number)
- The business name
- The EIN
- Your contact number
- A note saying you're requesting authorization

Basically, I just sent over all my important info from the previous app.
Certificate name: John Doe xxxxx.x.x
Business name:
App user:
Business EIN:
Address:
Email:
Local office:
Phone number

Just waiting for them to call me back and confirm everything went through.

Has anyone actually tried submitting paper forms? The powers of attorney should be sorted out next week, so hopefully we won't get hit with penalties right away.

I couldn't even register for the app yesterday. It hasn't let anyone sign up for a couple of days, though we could at least send forms until it completely crashed today.
The lady at the FBI office just took my paper form yesterday.

Just found out yesterday we gotta switch over to filing our monthly sales tax through the new e-filing system, so we grabbed a USB from the IRS today along with some download links.
Downloaded everything, but for some reason, the gemPCtwin program just won't install on my machine.
Anyone have a clue what's going on?

I had no trouble installing ActivIdentity, but this first one is being stubborn.
Plus, I got the official IRS app installed without any issues.

Spent the whole day calling the help desk, but I can't get a single soul on the line.
Thanks in advance for the help.
Walter Jackson48 said:You can get those aligned page numbers like this:

Go to Format, then Tabs, and in the Tab stop position field, type the number where you want the page number to show up (like 20). Then, under Alignment
, check
Left, and in the Leader field, select option 2....
Then hit Set, then OK. Now: type your first heading, hit the TAB key on your keyboard (the one with the two arrows), and it'll spit out those dots. Then just type the page number and hit Enter. Repeat that for every new heading—TAB, page number, Enter—until you're done. (That was for the old version, but I think it's pretty much the same everywhere). Cheers.

Thanks a ton.
It works.
I'm using the 2007 version in American English, so I couldn't figure out where all that stuff moved to in this newer version.
Honestly, I liked the 2003 version better—way easier to navigate—but hey, we're stuck with the new one now.

So, for anyone using 2007 with the American interface, here's the drill:
Go to Home—>Paragraph—>click that tiny little square icon in the bottom right corner—>Tabs (down at the bottom left)—>put 16 in the first box—>select "Left" and "2....." —>hit Set—>then OK.

Once you type your title, just hit TAB on your keyboard to get those dots, then type the page number.
Just keep doing that until your Table of Contents is finished.
Dana Diaz8 said:🤷

Did you actually use headings for your titles and subtitles??? If not, you gotta change all of them first. Once that's done, just Google how to make a table of contents in Word and follow the steps. You'll get a perfectly aligned table of contents that even copies your specific styles and fonts from each page. I'm still rocking Word 2007, so I don't know the exact clicks for the newer versions, but I'm pretty sure the logic is the same in the latest ones, like 🤷2012

.

I just typed everything out without messing with settings—Word just auto-numbered stuff for me.
I set it to justified alignment, you know, "justify paragraph."
How am I supposed to change all of them?

Thanks a ton for the help.
Got a quick question about Word.

Just finished my thesis, and now I’m trying to wrap up the table of contents, but I’ve hit a wall.

I can't for the life of me get the page numbers to line up vertically. They just won't stay aligned.

I'm using the latest version of Word, and honestly, I'm struggling to figure this one out. :/

The Core (2003) in Movies ·
Frank Moore4 said:So, if I don't like The Core, I just hate everything? That's hilarious. 🤣🙄🤣

Honestly, watching some of the threads here and over on the TV subforum, it’s pretty obvious you’re just a hater. Like, does anything actually pass your test? It feels like you've always got some complaint ready to go.
Go ahead and laugh if it makes you feel better. ☕

Frank Moore4 said:Nah, The Core is definitely bottom-tier trash—both generally and within the Sci-Fi genre—simply because of the massive pile of "bad science" nonsense it relies on. That's why it constantly gets dumped at the very bottom of polls, right next to "2012." But honestly, "2012" at least had top-tier production value, whereas with The Core, they actually had to fix the visual effects in post because they looked like absolute cheap crap during the test screenings.

The movies you mentioned are basically B-movies anyway, while The Core tried to present itself as an A-list production, which just makes its failure even more glaring.

Nothing is ever good enough for you.
Personally, I think it's a fun watch. I don't stress over what's totally broken versus what actually works.
It killed the boredom for me back then, so I'm happy with it, even if I did say the movie was decent.
The Core (2003) in Movies ·
I dig the concept behind this movie.
The cast? Not really my thing, but the premise is solid.
It kicks off with all that stuff about EM fields, storms, and those holes letting in solar radiation, then hits you with "Destiny."
Funny enough, according to some conspiracy theories, that "Destiny" thing actually exists, so seeing them use it as a plot point was pretty cool. 🙂
Does weather affect epilepsy seizures? in Health ·
Here’s my list:
temperature - nope
air pressure - yeah
cloud cover - if you're looking for rain—but when exactly?
comfort index - nah
wind direction - No
humidity - nope

Same here!
And I honestly think stress plays a huge part. Even though my doctor says stress doesn't trigger epilepsy, I've got plenty of proof it does for me!

lonebadger6 said:Maybe where they are, or eventually in Alaska 😉
No forecast for the 27th yet, but I seriously doubt we'll see such a massive drop 🙂

I read in the morning news that those folks in the US are predicting that for our area!
Did they mix us up with Alaska?😬

Actually, people over in the US are saying July 27, 2007, will only hit 59 degrees, and the coldest night might dip down to 48!

Vance is already saying it'll be a normal 95 degrees in just a few years!
And when it rains, it'll be a total washout, and when the sun hits? It’s gonna fry us!
