Norris crushing it, but Sainz looks struggling in Formula 1 ·
Just saw the driver ratings for the Canadian GP and Lando Norris really stepped up this weekend. It's a bit of a bummer to see Sainz having such a rough time of it lately though. Do you guys think Sainz's performance is a temporary slump or a sign of deeper issues with the car?

Yeah, my ten-year-old son is stuck in quarantine right along with me. When I called the pediatrician to double-check what my doctor had told me earlier, she just gave me this wise little shrug and said, "Well, if you've got it, he's probably got it too."
Honestly, I’d never want to knowingly pass anything on to someone else, but seeing all the crazy cases out there lately... part of me almost regrets even calling the doctor and reporting it in the first place.

Could you please just let me know what the doctor actually said? Honestly, it feels like people are just making stuff up just to mess with someone.🙄

Peter Sanders4 said:Exactly as much as your doctor or the CDC tells you—nothing more, nothing less. Just call your physician. In my case, they told me zero days; if I felt fine, I could head straight to work. For someone else, they might order them to stay home. It’s all pretty arbitrary and based on individual guidance.

Hey there,
I’m actually in the exact same boat as the other user here. Someone in my house tested positive, and our last contact was about 3 or 4 days before they got their positive result. I let my doctor know the same day we found out, and she told me I need to isolate for 14 days. Now, logically, it would make sense for those 14 days to start from when we were last in contact with the infected person, but nope... she's logging my medical leave as 14 days starting from the date of the test itself. 🤔 I don't have any symptoms at all, so I'm wondering if I really have to grind through the full 14 days (counting from the household member's positive test), or if there's a chance it could be shortened if I tell my doctor I feel totally fine? Also, would Medicare give me any grief regarding my disability payments if they see I didn't stick to those 14 days mentioned in their guidelines? My leave code isn't listed as isolation, but rather "exposure or contact with other illnesses."
Hey there, just wondering if anyone might know before I start making calls tomorrow... I need to head over to the Cleveland Clinic for a dermatology appointment. Do I actually need to take a COVID test before they'll let me through the door?
IRS and Tax Filing Issues in Business, Accounting & Taxes ·
Oh, so it’s finally processed. I honestly thought I had messed something up somewhere, but since it says it was approved, I guess it just takes a little while for everything to actually show up online
IRS and Tax Filing Issues in Business, Accounting & Taxes ·
Hey, I could really use some help here... So, I was looking over my tax records on the IRS website, and I noticed one account shows an overpayment while another one shows a balance due. I sent in a request to transfer that credit over to the account with the debt, and I actually got a response saying the form was received, processed, and closed (as of yesterday). But now I'm back on the IRS site looking at everything again, and absolutely nothing has changed. The same amount is still showing as an overpayment on the first account, and the second account—the one I asked to move the money to—still shows the exact same debt... I'm just lost. Does it usually take some time for the system to actually update and show the changes, or what the hell is going on?
Fashion for curvy girls in Fashion ·
I’m totally obsessed with these styles

bra 1

bra 2

bikini

Honestly, I can only deal with full coverage, underwire, and no padding. And if they have really wide straps, even better.

Last year I picked up this bikini, and it covers everything perfectly and feels super sturdy, though I wasn't a huge fan of how it gave me those weird, pointy Madonna-style boobs 🤣

Honestly, they’ve got everything. You want something elegant, or maybe just sporty, underwire, wireless, swimsuits... you name it.

Edit:

I’ve actually bought from this one seller on eBay before, too.

It’s true, though—it can be such a hassle until you finally hit on a model that actually fits. Even if the size is the same, different styles can look totally different on you. Since I usually just use PayPal, and ever since they started offering that shipping refund option when you send stuff back (for up to $73), I just end up grabbing a few different styles at once. If something doesn't work out, I just send it back.
Snoring issues in Health ·
Thanks for the input, I’ll definitely have to mention that to my better half 🙂
Snoring issues in Health ·
So, I'm joining the ranks of the snoring sufferers, just like what copperraven53 mentioned above 😁

Basically, my husband snores. Period. No matter how he lays, and honestly, the part that trips me out most is how he can snore with his mouth shut. It’s constant, all night long. Okay, there are little windows of peace and quiet, but those are basically "rare Fridays."
About three years ago, I finally begged him to see an ENT. They found some thickening—nasal polyps—and said treating them might help dial down the snoring (though nobody promised a total cure). He went through this awful surgery where they were basically scraping the inside of his nose with a blade, only for them to tell him afterward that wasn't even the whole story—that for actual results, he’d need throat surgery too. After seeing five yards of gauze used up in each nostril, he wouldn't even consider it. After that first surgery, things improved just a tiny bit. Like, he was still snoring, but it wasn't quite as loud or intense. But now, three years later, the snoring is back to being completely unbearable.

During that recovery period, I actually kind of got used to sleeping next to him. I think I just tuned it out, trained my ears to ignore the noise 😁
Since then, we've had a baby. Now the little one sleeps in their own room, and we sleep in ours with a baby monitor right by my ear. So, he’s snoring away, and I’m trying to drift off, but I can't relax enough to actually fall asleep. And if I do manage to pass out, I keep jolting awake in a panic, terrified that I won't hear the baby crying in the other room over his noise. Earplugs aren't an option because then I'm worried I won't hear the monitor, and besides, I can still hear his muffled snoring through them, which just irritates me more 🙂
You know what? I usually end up retreating to the baby's room just to get some decent rest and feel like I have the little one "under control."
Sometimes I wonder if we'll ever just sleep in the same bed all night again... 🙄

Anyway, the facts are: he’s about 20 pounds overweight and he smokes.
How does one actually get to a Sleep Center? Is it that one near downtown? Do you just get a referral from a primary care doctor? Do you stay overnight for "observation" or how does it work?

What do you guys think about these gadgets (before jumping to a radical snoring mask 😁)?

Or is this stuff in the same league as all those sprays, strips, and sticks that didn't do anything at all?

So... what's the actual issue then?

Honestly, looking at how much you've posted on this forum, I’m actually pretty surprised you're even asking this. 😉

A little irony and sarcasm never hurt anyone, right? ☕
As long as things turn out the way they're supposed to, I guess that's all that really matters.

Thanks, I think I'll play around with that Watermark setting and see if I can tinker with it a bit.
So, I tried everything, and it turns out if I just select the "2 pages per sheet" option, it actually prints out looking fine. But what I’m really wondering is... is there a way to get a line right down the middle of the page? You know, like a physical gap or a visible divider between those two pages once it's printed on the paper?
Sorry for being such a pain here 😬

image

Also, could you maybe walk me through the difference between "2 pages per sheet" and "Book fold"? I’ve been clicking back and forth between them, but honestly, I can't really tell them apart at all.🤷
Thanks so much!
👋
It seems like things have gone a bit quiet around here lately... kinda quiet, actually. But hey, I'm still hanging out. Hopefully, some kind soul wanders by soon to help me out with an answer. 😉

So, I'm currently typing up this collection of poems in Microsoft Word—it's actually also the prep work for getting them printed—so I'm looking for some help with a few "technicalities," if you know what I mean.
So, about that page setup... if you're looking to switch things up to Landscape mode.
So, I was messing around with the settings earlier... and I ended up picking the "2 pages per sheet" option under the Pages / Multiple pages menu. Just one of those little things I was trying out.

So, here’s what I’m actually trying to pull off... I want the page layout set to landscape on a standard sheet of paper, but I want it to look like two vertical pages side-by-side, kind of like an open book. I think I managed to get the settings close to that, but is there a way to actually drop a line right down the middle of the page? Just something that shows up when I print so I can see where the "fold" would be. Also, I'm hitting a bit of a wall with the preview. How do I get the Print Preview to actually show the text in that landscape layout? Every time I check, it just keeps forcing me back into Portrait view. Even while I'm typing, everything stays stuck in Portrait mode on my single sheet of paper, and it's driving me a little crazy.
Uuuf, I think I made that way more complicated than it needed to be... hope you guys can still make sense of what I'm actually looking for. 😁😉

Sophia Peterson93 said:Yeah, honestly, since this is such a massive forum, it’s just easier to run small backups every single day rather than trying to do one giant one once a month. That would take forever. From what I can see, vBulletin can barely handle it—honestly, it feels like you're just paying a premium for a brand name at this point... And I don't really get why they even bother with membership fees when they could just pull enough from those cheap ads to pay for a server that actually handles double the load, plus an extra one for backups...

I mean, it's fine, let them run their backups and whatever else, just please don't do it between 8 AM and 2 PM.☕

dustypuma5 said:Look, vBulletin is actually one of the better software options out there, and by the way, it costs $180, which is a joke for a serious, high-traffic forum like this—definitely not huge money.
Second off, vBulletin can handle tons of large forums without breaking a sweat, and users shouldn't even notice the backups, especially not at 10 in the morning.Thirdly, whenever the server goes down, a message pops up automatically saying there's brief maintenance so people don't freak out.
Fourth, there have been two broken ads on this forum that haven't been fixed for a month now, which clearly shows a total lack of care. It suggests these "services" aren't failing because they're working too hard, but because they aren't being managed at all.
Fifth, the server for this forum is funded by just a few days of advertising for the whole year, so I really doubt that's the issue.

Oh, and this whole situation with this forum has been going on for years. Sadly, I guess we just have to get used to this "new normal."

👍
In the end, it pretty much comes down to the same thing whether you stay quiet and deal with it or speak up. Nobody's really giving us any credit anyway.🙄

I'd much rather just stay in and iron🙂

The thing is, the moderators aren't actually the ones who have any power to fix this specific issue.

Hey there, admins, tech support, experts, and everyone else out there!
I’m starting a new thread here because, honestly, I have no clue if something similar already exists. I didn't really have the chance to hunt through the archives since the whole forum has been down for maintenance all day. Now that I finally managed to log back in, I figured I’d just type this out as fast as possible before you guys decide to take the site offline again for another round of repairs.☕

Seriously though, this is getting ridiculous. I mean, come on, people—you guys seem to have at least three maintenance sessions every single week. And don't try to tell us they're just "quick fixes," because we all know that's not true. Plus, why is this happening during peak hours?!!!!😠 🙂 Why can't those famous technicians of yours just pull a night shift and get the work done while everyone is asleep? And if you're going to brag about being the biggest forum in America, I'd think you could manage to avoid this kind of downtime (so OFTEN). Your marketing claims that over 120 skilled and competent moderators from across the country and around the world actively guide and manage discussions—so it makes me wonder, what exactly are those 120 "experts" doing?

To be honest, the excuses are starting to grate on my nerves. I wouldn't mind if you did this a couple of times a month, but several times a week is just a bit much. Thanks a lot! ☕ 🙂
