Hormonal Contraception: The Pill [General Discussion] in Women's Health ·
I started taking Diane to see if it would finally clear up my skin. The protocol was straightforward enough—take the first pill on day one of my period, finish the pack, take a seven-day break, and then restart the cycle on the eighth day. Well, I followed those steps to the letter, and during this supposed seven-day hiatus, my period hasn't shown up once. Now I’m staring down the barrel of starting a brand-new pack tomorrow, and I'm left wondering: how is it possible that nothing happened? Am I actually going to get my period at all?

A cousin of mine is 33 years old and has been on Zoloft for about a year now—he says he feels fantastic. He might have a few drinks more than usual on a Saturday night, but honestly, it doesn't seem to affect him at all. Everything is completely stable because he isn't spiraling into those dark places like he used to be; he’s significantly more upbeat and genuinely happy these days. This leads me to believe that while mixing alcohol with depression is a recipe for disaster, it doesn't seem to cause any visible issues for those who are already well on their way to recovery—though, of course, I am no doctor. Who truly knows how these substances interact deep within the system? Perhaps the damage just accumulates silently, waiting to take its toll down the road.🤷
I went ahead and checked her name, and she handed it over to me... though honestly, it probably wouldn't have helped if she had seen the date—not that it matters now. Regardless, the issue is finally resolved. Thanks to everyone for the input.
And maybe they'll head back by 5:30 PM? Either way, I’d just go ahead and check—I honestly have no idea what my schedule looks like for the rest of the week, though I should be able to make it work later on.
I’m right here, and I even checked the main thread—the one I frequent constantly—where it explicitly states that pickup is scheduled from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM. BUT THAT STARTS TOMORROW. Hmm. Should I really bother heading back there at 5:00 PM just to ask the same question all over again??
Honestly, back when I lived in my old neighborhood, I didn't even need a mountain of paperwork just to check if my mail had arrived—I could just walk in, ask, and if something was there, they’d hand it over right then and there. Now? Apparently, I’m expected to swing by to pick up my package starting tomorrow... except I can't make it tomorrow. In fact, I probably won't be able to make it the day after either, and as for the rest of the week, who knows. It’s completely nonsensical—they make it so unnecessarily complicated, whereas at my old local spot, things actually worked. 😢 😢
I have a question here, and frankly, it’s becoming quite urgent, so I would appreciate it if anyone with some insight could weigh in and help me out
I wasn't home this morning, but I was fully aware that an important delivery was scheduled to arrive today—it's one of those packages you just can't miss. Since I was at work, I naturally assumed the USPS carrier would leave one of those standard yellow slips in my mailbox. Well, sure enough, when I finally got home, there it was: a yellow slip addressed to me. I didn't waste any time; I headed straight down to the local Post Office to pick it up while I had the chance. However, the clerk at the counter informed me that while my package has indeed arrived, the notice states the pickup window is only five days—and that period doesn't actually begin until June 16th. Which means, according to their records, it officially "starts" tomorrow. I just stood there staring at her, completely bewildered, before walking out. It makes absolutely zero sense to me—how is it possible that I am somehow barred from collecting my own property today, yet they are technically holding it starting tomorrow? Is it even possible that the mail carrier simply botched the date on the slip, perhaps thinking today was already the 16th instead of the 15th?
Zachary Peterson6 said:First off—probably not🙂🙂 unless you can somehow convince someone else to handle it for you--say,🙂like a mail carrier🙂
And secondly: there isn't a fee involved, and I believe it might be valid for less than three months.🙂

Thanks!!
I have a quick question here... is there any way for the USPS to notify someone who isn't currently at their registered address that a package, parcel, or perhaps a certified letter has arrived? Can they send an email or give a phone call? This might be a silly question, but 🙂
Zachary Peterson6 said:Of course you can. You just head down to your local post office and file a request to have all mail forwarded to your new address—I believe those requests typically last for three months, though you can usually extend them if you need more time.

Does the USPS charge an extra fee for redirecting mail to a different address, and if so, how much? Also, is it possible to set this up for a duration shorter than three months?
Thanks!

I was thinking about adding some actual text instead of just leaving my photo album link sitting there... does anyone have any advice on how to do this without having to scroll through endless pages of forum threads looking for a solution?
