Does 3Suisse also ship sale items right away? I’m looking through everything now, but I don't see any mention of it...
Fashion for curvy girls in Fashion ·
Alright, I’m gonna go sketch out some stuff for a bit 😉

I totally feel you on that 😍 .. and honestly, I'm always down for a little barking myself 😁

But wait, how do you even know which items get that "immediate" delivery? Like, is it actually listed right on the product page, or is everything in the clearance section moving that fast?

Man, that LaRedoute place? Way too pricey 🙂
I tried ordering something once... from that 3Suisse site too, but honestly, the shipping delays were enough to drive me a little crazy.

noting down: "side-on"

electricangler38 said:Greetings everyone,

I only discovered this thread yesterday and I am relieved. I have been struggling with dressing myself for the last few years. It is a chore to shop in physical stores when 95% of the time I either don't fit, overpay, or buy "motivational" clothing that sits in my closet for years with the label still on. In the end, I have nothing decent to wear that looks acceptable on a 200+ pound, apple-shaped frame at 5'5".

Today I am heading out to browse KIK, Takko (I have never stepped foot in a Target in my life, and I don't have any
specific reason why), M&S, and perhaps that Old Navy? I need jeans, professional trousers, a skirt, and a trench coat or something similar to wear through autumn and spring. It is a struggle to find it all; I hope the total comes to roughly $267.

Thomas Gonzalez15;
Did you recently acquire that trench coat from M&S?

🤣 true for all of us (we're all in the same boat)

That Old Navy location isn't there anymore 😢they shut it down... The same owner runs Motive, but I think they only go up to a size 12 there..

Honestly, just stick to online shopping. You'll be way happier.😉

@nimbleheron47 - thanks so much!!! Okay, order is officially placed. I grabbed one in size #20 just to test the waters—basically seeing if I need to aim smaller or go bigger next time. I’ve already spotted a few other things I’m eyeing, but I'll wait until I'm 100% sure about the sizing before I dive back in.
And seriously, thank you for the tip on the dollar conversion, it really is cheaper that way. It basically covers the extra shipping costs they try to sneak in with those ridiculous "exchange rate" markups.
Wait, how did they say it would arrive? Like, what's the ETA?

I just spent about three hours digging through Sports D. and decided to pop in here to see what everyone thinks—right when you mentioned you recommended 😉!
That’s awesome. I ended up picking out a bunch of little things (really cute stuff for kids, too) and was checking out the plus-size section... I think I'll grab some 18s and 20s. I couldn't find anything I actually liked in a 22, though.
My main worry is these UK sizing things, especially because of these Marks & Spencer jeans I have that are an 18, even though every single size chart I look up online says I should be wearing a 22.
I guess I'll just have to wait until my order arrives and try everything on before I know for sure.

Anyway, what were you saying about it being better value in dollars?! Does that mean the shipping is coming from the US? Isn't that way riskier because of customs fees and all that?
I've already stuffed my cart with some kids' gear, some dresses and leggings for me, and even a few things for my husband. The individual prices seem small, but once it all adds up, I figured sticking to the UK might be safer... or (maybe you can enlighten me 😁)

Hey, nimbleheron47, totally off-topic here, but do you happen to have any good links for kids?

I need some help figuring out these numbers on Simply Be .
How on earth am I supposed to know which size to pick?
When I try using the centimeter measurements they provide, the numbers come out way higher than what I’d normally grab back home—like if I were shopping in Europe or somewhere else. It’s totally throwing me off.

How did you guys nail down your size? Can someone please give me a comparison or a real-world measurement—like my waist size—and tell me what size actually works for you on their site?
Thanks 😉>

nimbleheron47 said:I picked up some jeans and a few skirts and tops over at New Look. They’ve got jeans in three different lengths—petite, regular, and tall. 👍
I grabbed some classic skirts from Elviva—they list the length there, which is huge for me since I need to know where they'll actually hit on my body; those doll models they use just confuse me. It's more of a serious clothing shop, but you can find those timeless pieces that work for anyone, regardless of age.
I ordered some dresses from Yours.
Then there was ASOS for shoes and a recent haul of underwear.
Got more underwear here too.
And here is where I’m planning to treat myself to some boots—they aren't cheap, but they actually carry sizes for people with the widest calves in the world 😍.

And from me 😘

So I took a quick little peek at Elva from the MOBA 👍
Think I’m gonna have to dive a bit deeper into her kit and actually study this stuff properly 😉

Signing off on this one for the BiB meetup in Austin..

And just to throw in a tip for bras—if you’re looking for larger sizes, you can definitely find what you need at Anita. It’s a German brand, but they’re everywhere here, whether you’re hitting up local boutiques, browsing international sites, or just scrolling through Adora. The only real catch is that they aren't exactly budget-friendly. But hey, we’re pretty used to paying a premium for stuff that actually fits, right? 😉

dustycyclist72 said:Does anyone know which H&m in the metro area carries their plus-size collection?

Honestly, don't even bother. It’s all pretty meh, unfortunately...
What kind of sizes are you looking for though?
Fashion for curvy girls in Fashion ·
So I took a look at it, right? Like, the Ulla P. 110E—that’s a German (D) size, but according to the UK sizing, it’s a 48E 🤷

A few pages back, some girl was dropping links for bras, so just keep an eye out.
Regarding those classic underwire ones, the last big bra I found was at Victoria's Secret over on Avenue M. Let me check my stuff and get back to you with the size later.

It’s cute though... Honestly, what I really need (aside from having way more than 😁 of them) is just some longer sleeves, you know? Just enough to cover up these loose arms of mine :/
Fashion for curvy girls in Fashion ·
It doesn't really matter what number you're rocking 😉

Hey, when you finally pull the trigger on a purchase, we’d all love to see a photo of it 😉
Seriously, this thread is just missing a few pics to really bring it all together..
