Even though I find myself getting curious about everything too, which just ends up being exhausting. We really only have ourselves to blame when we go looking for nonsense to read online...

Thanks honey🙂, I was just looking over the printout from my first fetal monitor test at the OBGYN—the heart rate was between 140 and 175 (at least, that's what I could make out, so hopefully it's nothing to worry about). Man, I've been crying my eyes out. I'm just so worried about her health, more than anything else. As for the waiting room stuff, I don't usually listen, but this lady just wandered over and started talking to me. Now my husband is telling me she said the same thing to him 🙂 while I was inside, too. It's not exactly common knowledge, I guess.
jadejackal said:@fadedridge14 🙂 this is just appalling. I mean, where is the common sense? How can anyone say something like that to a pregnant woman waiting in an OB-GYN emergency room? 🙂

I really hope everything turns out perfectly with your CTG and the little one.

thanks honey🙂, so I went in for the fetal monitoring, and the doctor there was basically staring at me like, "I have absolutely no idea why you were sent here at 34 weeks." She could see my prenatal checks were totally fine, the baby is growing exactly as expected, and there's nothing medically wrong going on. She basically told me there was zero reason to be scared. Honestly, I just sat there looking at her, completely speechless 😵. After doing the scan, she told me everything looks as perfect as it gets and I could practically skip home feeling relieved 😳. Just a quick checkup and that was that
.
🙂I’m honestly at a loss for words. I just had my first CTG, and the OBGYN told me things aren't looking great. It was mostly bad again this morning, so I headed straight to the ER. My swelling from the placenta was so bad, I felt like I could have watered an entire orchard with it. Once I got to triage, it was just pure chaos—tears everywhere. My partner and the nurses were trying their best to keep me calm, so I did my best to stay chill while waiting for the monitor. I was feeling incredibly nauseous, and then this girl ahead of me goes into labor. Her mom starts asking how much longer she has left, and I pipe up, saying maybe a month and a half, but the mom just brushes me off like, "Oh, you've still got plenty of time." Then she drops this bombshell about how her own daughter went through this and ended up having a stillbirth😢. We weren't even in the main waiting area yet, but seriously, why would you say something like that? My CTG isn't normal, and my mind is racing through every worst-case scenario imaginable. If you can't start a conversation on a better note, just don't say anything at all🙂
Just adding my two cents here—let's move this
Topic back to where it actually belongs.
