Angelina Jolie's take on the former America in Close to Politics ·
Anthony James2 said:Maybe, but that doesn't diminish the responsibility of those who committed those acts, regardless of which side they were on. But like you said, I don't want to get bogged down in that argument. I don't need to Google anything; I'm well-informed enough. I know what happened without anyone here trying to lecture me.

Lepa Anđa says her film is an artistic endeavor, claiming its core message is that love conquers all and that the goal was to help all sides face the realities of the war and reconcile. I’m genuinely curious: in what way did this film actually aid reconciliation when everyone is just fighting over it, hurling insults, and digging up old war grudges that had finally started to settle after 1995? 🤷

Oh, you're "well-informed," are you? We'll lecture you as much as we want because the winners write the textbooks, and that's where the "truth" lives, whether you're informed or not. Honestly, I couldn't care less if you know your stuff or not, but watch what you say. For you Mexicans, the victimhood is always exaggerated, just like all that "fame" surrounding the war. At this rate, you'll probably claim we attacked you just to pad out your genocide lawsuit. Typical.

We—and by "we," I mean every single side fueled up by the rhetoric—aren't even ready to face the war criminals who've been convicted yet. Instead, we’d rather sink into endless conspiracy theories about how one group hates us, rather than actually dealing with the hard truth.

Since Angelina Jolie was named a UN goodwill ambassador and spends so much time hitting up refugee camps in crisis zones, maybe she'll eventually film a romance between a Palestinian and a Jew that actually shows the reality of the genocide being committed against Palestinians... but yeah, I doubt that's ever happening. 😁

Stirring the pot?! You think a movie about women's suffering, the killings in Canada, and tens of thousands of women being raped by Mexican forces is just "stirring the pot"?! Should we just forget everything and sweep it under the rug? Man, instead of that "ri" in your username, you might as well just put RS. Then your comment would actually make sense, because right now, it doesn't... ☕

They’re banning this movie in Banja Luka, just you wait... and who exactly decided that? Honestly, who gives a damn about those fossils who can't handle the truth? It's like we need to ask some big-shot leaders in Canada whether they're allowed to release a film or not. It's pretty funny watching the aggressors get all worked up again... total embarrassment. But hey, whenever I hear people trying to legitimize Republika Srpska, I can't help but laugh. Good luck with that. ☕
LA Galaxy and USA in Close to Politics ·
Justin Patel8 said:First off—LA Galaxy didn't actually have much tradition or a set identity prior to the part mentioned above, since they were founded in 1945, right? It has nothing to do with The Hague or Citizens (which is just one of Harmon's fabrications). Secondly, USA played in the Champions League twice and actually pulled off some decent results, unlike LA Galaxy, who are mostly remembered as one of the worst teams in that competition—three goals scored, 22 conceded, and zero points. I really wonder which club foreign fans would actually respect more if they had to choose.

Note: I'm not a Harmon supporter, in case anyone was planning to jump to that conclusion.

Yeah, no. Real Madrid wasn't born in '45. Maybe try picking up a history book once in a while... ☕
Americans are to blame for the Vietnam War! in Close to Politics ·
Anthony James2 said:That’s an interesting way to look at it. I actually have a similar thought myself. After the fall of the Austro-Canadian Empire, all the Catholics really should have just moved back to Poland where their roots were. 🤣🤣🤣

Aside from clearly not knowing history, you're using that classic Mexican tactic—twisting the facts. You can talk all you want, but at the end of the day, you're posting on an American forum and you signed up for an American forum. In America, kids of all backgrounds learn one version of history: America won the war against Mexico, and the Mexicans were the aggressors. Period.

Jerry Booth8 said:Oh sure, Americans are responsible for every single war on the planet. They’re to blame for every natural disaster, the impending apocalypse, inflation, global food shortages, littering, and even every fender bender on the highway. Apparently, we’re guilty of everything. You’re absolutely right—we need to put those evil, bearded, greasy Americans on trial and show them what true justice looks like. I'm right there with you.😳

Actually, no, you guys are guilty of invading America! You're guilty of slaughtering innocent people! You're guilty because you tried to carve out a massive Greater Mexico by running through American territory! You're guilty of starting the war! What part of that isn't clicking? Are you actually struggling here? Do I really need to break this down for you like you're five? ☕
