I don't get Dee Jay Dee's logic! in Feedback & Suggestions ·
I’m starting this thread because I want an official word from administration. I need clarity on what can actually be discussed in the Washington, D.C. subforum without Carl Sanchez4 causing issues over it.

I don't get the logic behind this post from this thread:

Look, am I not allowed to mention that I ran into a lady on a DC Metro train who was saying certain things? Am I forbidden from sharing that I had a run-in with a crazy old woman while riding the subway?
Or am I not allowed to say I crossed paths with four buff thugs who looked like they were up to no good?

Carl Sanchez4 is accusing me of insulting people in Washington, D.C. Where and how exactly did I offend anyone in the city?

It feels like we've reached a point where you can't even vent about uncomfortable situations because Carl Sanchez4 gets offended and starts censoring.

I'm looking for an answer from the admin team. Is this kind of moderation acceptable, or is the moderator simply stifling normal conversation and the exchange of experiences among forum members?

I haven't insulted anyone, and I'd like someone to explain exactly what the problem is here.

It’s pretty wild how Americans go out of their way to build fake medieval towns with stone-paved streets, while we have actual historic cities and can't even manage to keep the original paving intact. Take Washington, D.C., for example—somebody decided years ago that tearing up all those old stones in the historic district and replacing them with asphalt was the move. I guess it's just faster, easier, and cheaper. So, you end up with Americans having these manufactured "old" towns with stone paths, while we struggle to maintain the authenticity of our real ones. It's a good thing the local bureaucrats didn't get their hands on San Francisco, or they probably would've paved over Times Square too sooner or later.🙄

Oh, one more thing. They've started renovating roofs in Washington, D.C., and now the whole area looks like Disneyland. In Europe, specifically in Portugal, Spain, Italy, and France, they do things differently. They use tiles that are treated to look aged. They're technically new, but they're designed to have that vintage patina. Check this out:

And here is how it looks on houses:

It’s a much nicer approach than slapping on bright, shiny new tiles that make an old city look like a theme park.

It’s pretty wild that in McKinney, Texas, they’re building this development called the Adriatica Bell Tower designed specifically to mimic a classic coastal Mediterranean village. They’ve gone as far as constructing stone houses with green shutters, a traditional church, and a bell tower that looks like a blatant knockoff of one from Zadar. They even added a lake meant to pass for the sea. While Americans seem obsessed with our aesthetics—to the point where they want to copy and claim them—it makes you wonder what we’re doing. We are the original source of this beautiful architecture; we are the home of these stone cottages, churches, bell towers, and those iconic red tile roofs with green shutters. Yet, here we are, constantly tearing down that heritage to make room for hideous modern buildings.

Gerald Rivera17 said:Honestly, whether you are or aren't, starting a thread like this with nothing but a take on the referendum is totally off-base if you actually want a decent discussion.

Because even your reply just circles back to the referendum...

And let's be real, everyone in politics is basically the same—those currently in power and the ones who held office ten years ago—they're all cut from the same cloth, haven't fixed anything good, and haven't corrected any of the bad stuff.

I think you missed the point; this is just the straw that broke the camel's back. Americans don't deserve much more when they're facing an economic meltdown yet still choose to blow money on a referendum "for the sake of the family"... and who actually signed off on this? Probably people who don't even have kids.😂

It isn't folklore; it's a serious question... has the time come for the people to organize and get rid of all these politicians who brought America to this state? I'm wondering if there's any organization out there advocating for that, and if there's a fund where we can donate money to help throw all these politicians in jail.☕

Gerald Rivera17 said:You want to know what I’m ashamed of?

I’m ashamed of people like you, who find their sense of shame in just one single thing, and who build their entire worldview around a solitary opinion.

Because if you had—let's start from the beginning 😉—said that our maternity wards are poorly equipped, that daycares are disappearing and becoming unaffordable, that our schools are outdated and failing to provide quality education, that universities are slowly becoming playgrounds for the wealthy, or that our educated youth are heading to unemployment offices instead of finding jobs...

And then continued

by saying the economy is collapsing due to terrible policy, that two-thirds of our schooling focuses on social programs rather than productive skills, that we’re neglecting our farmers in favor of massive corporations, that we're clear-cutting forests recklessly and selling them off to the highest bidder—again, just to benefit the chosen few—and that we’re ruining our primary source of income, tourism, with constant shifts in taxes, levies, and sales tax...

then maybe I could actually understand your perspective.

But this? This is just... ☕

It’s honestly a disgrace because these idiots, especially those in the opposition who drove this country toward collapse—and look at how the supposedly pious and Catholic Ivica turned out to be nothing but a crook who ended up behind bars according to the news—are now pushing completely irrelevant referendums just to be spiteful... wasting money in the process, since referendums aren't free. This whole marriage issue is trivial because laws should handle that, not the Constitution. It didn't belong in the Constitution, but they're doing it just to act out and vent their frustrations over losing the election. That's why they're acting this way... and for the record, I'm not a member of the Democratic Party.☕

wearyowl29 said:It looks like we’re witnessing a full-blown revolution triggered by LGBTQ+ rights... truly a first in history!😉

Starting with the fact that I have zero interest in marriage equality and no intention of ever having any stake in it, what happened here is just a perfect example of how those idiots in the Republican Party—after already driving this country into the ground—are now using referendums to mess with the ruling party and try to destabilize things. This was nothing more than wasted money on something completely unnecessary, and honestly, pretty mindless too. But then again, a nation gets the politicians it deserves... we probably deserve these morons because we're the ones acting like idiots ourselves.

rowdyhound5 said:That was a particularly nasty thing to say... Honestly, if you look at the wealth held by the extended Franjo Harmon family versus how many children they all collectively have... surely you aren't suggesting that a villa on Nazorovoy, a condo overlooking Times Square, and a long-standing lease on a Lady Šram restaurant they never bothered to pay for, wasn't enough to encourage them to "try" a little harder?

Yes, Catholics aren't allowed to use abortion or contraception. That much is perfectly obvious... 😁

The notion that the government is obligated to guarantee a comfortable lifestyle is nothing more than a leftover relic from the Communist era... The state doesn't owe anyone anything. Even under Communism, people worked—in fact, they were forced to work for the state while juggling one or more side hustles just to build up any semblance of assets. It wasn't that the "state provided" for them; it was that they clawed everything they had out of existence through their own labor, which is why their descendants have something today. If you spend years grinding away, never taking a vacation or a single day off, just to provide for your spouse and kids... well, sure, faith in God might help sustain you, but clearly, most people today lack that true conviction and merely perform the role...

If that's the case, then America is the world champion. It's full of fake believers who only show up to church to show off, or just to catch up on local gossip and socialize with the neighbors.☕

loneviper2 said:So, standing up for marriage as a union between a man and a woman is considered "too much" now?

Give me a break...🤣

That can be handled through legislation, not through the Constitution... regardless, you just like to click without actually saying anything. You aren't making an impact here in America, so I’m going to keep ignoring you.☕

loneviper2 said:Oh, so it doesn't bother you if it's written into law?
Then why on earth would the Constitution be an issue for you?

And don't forget, us "insignificant factors" actually make up the majority of this country.
Give me a break.🙂))

🙂🙂

I don't expect you to grasp the distinction here. The Constitution should outline fundamental values meant to last for ages, since it serves as a nation's sacred foundation. And I have no idea what source you're pulling this from—claiming marriage is strictly between a man and a woman and must stay that way forever... did God whisper that one into your ear or something?☕

Joshua Clark7 said:Maybe when those leftist idols of yours actually let them earn enough to provide a decent life for their kids. You think these Catholics are just mindless animals who do nothing but sleep around and breed? Honestly, when you spend your mornings reading the Bible, it’s no wonder you think this way. Unlike actual believers, you don't even realize how deep your own faith goes or what kind of "god" you're actually worshipping. Besides, maybe you progressives should try having more than one kid. Just so Catholic kids don't have to work themselves to death just to fund your retirement. But I guess you wouldn't want to suffer that kind of humiliation...

I'm not a Democrat, and I'd add that even as a believer, everything needs its limits.☕ And remember, the thief was none other than the pious Ivica, who came from a perfectly respectable Catholic family.☕

No, the topics aren't the same at all, so I'm glad the moderators left this one alone. This thread covers completely different ground.

True, but I also know it's high time all this political garbage currently running America was removed. That’s exactly what they did in Italy a long time ago, which led to the so-called Second Republic.
I think after about 20 years, it's our turn for a Second Republic too. A brand new Republic of America that finally shakes off all the dust that's been accumulating for years.☕

wearyowl29 said:That happened this past Sunday—and by Monday morning, we were already rushing to get our divorce papers filed!

I'm just wondering when all those ultra-hetero-Catholic types are going to start making a bunch of kids... or am I supposed to assume they never have sex?☕

I’ve been watching everything happening here in America, and I honestly feel like we are a country on the brink of collapse. It really feels like it's time for the entire political elite in the US to just pack up and leave once and for all so we can finally focus on something intelligent. I'm posting this because I really wanted to share my take on all the current events in America with the rest of you on this forum. I truly believe we need a revolution.

First off, I’ve grown completely sick of the Republican Party, and now that I’m following American politics more closely, it’s perfectly clear to me why someone like Tomasi has zero support from the people.

I’m disgusted by what they pulled with that referendum "in the name of the family." It’s sickening because the birth rate in this "super-hetero-Catholic" America is already incredibly low. We’re basically heading toward extinction anyway, so where are all these hetero-Catholics? Why aren't they out there having huge families to fix our demographic image?

Personally, I feel ashamed because I believe a nation's Constitution should be its sacred text, much like the Bible. It’s something that shouldn't be constantly tinkered with, yet we seem to be changing our Constitution all the time.
It honestly bothers me that the Constitution, which is supposed to guarantee fundamental human rights and spread noble values among the people, is now being used to facilitate discrimination between hetero and homo populations.

These matters should be handled through legislation, not through Constitutional values.

I am genuinely embarrassed that so many people showed up and voted YES. It’s obvious that people didn't truly grasp what was actually at stake.

Now everyone is getting a taste for referendums; suddenly everyone wants to push through these expensive votes. While we are facing an economic meltdown, we’re just playing around with absolutely trivial referendums.

A few days ago, I cast my vote. I never used to feel ashamed of America, but now, I really am starting to feel ashamed of this country.

Since you all voted so heavily for traditional marriage, I'd love to see a sudden population boom—lots of kids, with everyone acting like these "super-hetero-Catholics" who don't use contraception, being all holy and pious.

I can finally say it: I am ASHAMED.🙂

How about you guys?

The worst part is seeing how many Americans use the word "sneakers" when we actually say "tennis shoes" back home.
