Omicron variant in Coronavirus ·
So my husband was showing me all these articles yesterday—you know, from the news outlets and some doctors talking about this new strain being kind of a letdown, supposedly just causing mild colds and stuff like that.
I’m honestly just sitting here waiting for our mainstream media to flip the script and start claiming it’s even scarier than Delta, telling us it’s incredibly contagious and causing massive symptoms and blah blah blah.☕
Anonymous said:Honestly, I’d love to just snap back at her and tell her why she needs to worry, especially since she already said she’ll stick to her "plan" of waiting until she sees the first grandchild before she kicks the bucket.☕

Anyway, I came here to vent, but after reading what Superman and Jesse Johnson15 posted, everything else just flew out of my head... I almost peed myself laughing while reading this.😂

😂
I guess I’m actually a pretty decent person, even if I can't always be perfect, but man... 😁

It seriously drives me insane how rude people have become lately; nobody gives you any space or basic respect anymore, whether you're on the subway or just trying to grab something at Target.
Today I went to see my doctor for a referral and there were like ten of these totally unbotheratic, middle-aged ladies sitting there acting like they owned the place—just lounging around like cows—and I couldn't even ask to sit down because someone was taking up all the room! 😠
Honestly, I felt like giving one of them a slap. 🙂
Sandra Allen3 said:I'm just saying: Oh sure, we'll go for a third, fourth, or fifth kid, right up until we finally get a son. 😁
And Harold Miller has an even better one—since he's kind of on the shorter side, he says he'll just wait until he grows enough to finally make a son. 🤣

During this pregnancy, I keep hearing these stories about how doctors told some random stranger their entire pregnancy that it was a girl, only to be shocked when a boy showed up... or the reverse where they said boy and a girl arrived.
The point of those stories is... well, guess what... that apparently, nobody knows anything for sure and it could still be a boy. 😬

It’s funny because my mother-in-law used to be such a pain about us not having kids yet, always asking when we were going to start or saying she was just waiting for my son's child so she could finally pass away in peace...and now, here I am, right before giving birth, and suddenly she's all talk about having a second child so she can finally have an "heir" (even though I'm carrying a little girl)🙂
get this—she said *she* would😠
man, people are never actually satisfied, seriously🙄
I was up all night again, just tossing and turning with my mind racing a mile a minute, and honestly, the scariest part is when the little one is being too quiet or sleeping so deeply that I start panicking, wondering if they’re actually breathing or what...😳
So, we’re probably going to pick up one of those high-tech baby monitors with the breathing sensors, just so mother can finally get some actual peace of mind😁
Ugh, I swear I just woke up one day and suddenly my legs are covered in cellulite everywhere🙂
Does anyone actually know how to get rid of this stuff? Like, seriously, what works?🙂

No matter how exhausting the end stages get—dealing with a massive belly, back pain, and feeling completely uncoordinated—it doesn't compare to those first three or four months. Plus, there's that constant underlying anxiety. I personally dealt with two losses before the 12-week mark, and during one of them, I felt physically terrible.

For me, life finally started feeling normal again once I hit the 16-week point.

Just wanted to jump in here and add my two cents... for me, the second trimester was actually the worst part, I'm talking constant burping, nausea hitting me all day long, and feeling dizzy almost every single hour of the day.🙄
And the absolute kicker is that I'm mentally bracing myself for potential complications, but I can't help but feel like most people at my office think I'm just making excuses... since they're all those classic "early symptoms," right? Like, yeah, good luck believing me.🙂

At the end of the day, every pregnancy is its own wild ride!
Man, I’ve gotta say, these dizzy spells have been seriously getting on my nerves lately, like, they've been hanging around for almost a month now, and honestly, most days it feels like I can barely even drag myself into the office at work🙄🙂
silentbison17 said:I knew it was the baby because it felt deep inside the uterus, and since I'm carrying low, I know it isn't near the navel... so I can't mistake it for gas or bowel movements.

As for the mother-in-law... I won't say much, she deserves her own thread, but I've put her on "ignore" and I honestly don't care anymore. Just trust your doctor. As long as they tell you everything is fine, tune out the mothers-in-law, the aunts, the friends... I had real issues. I was on bed rest for two months and can only just now start leaving the house occasionally. I dealt with plenty of unsolicited "advice"... I'm just praying my doctor clears me from bed rest at the next checkup so I don't have to depend on anyone.

Mother-in-laws definitely deserve their own dedicated topic😂
Honestly, I’m not stressing about anything, I'm just letting things happen naturally, I just wish people would stop poking their noses into my pregnancy business, it's so annoying🙂
Just wait until the baby actually arrives, then the meddling is going to hit a whole new level😲😁
So, do you live with your mother-in-law or do you guys have your own place?
P.S. I totally get how hard it is having been on bed rest, and I know how crappy it feels to have to rely on someone else for everything, especially since my own mother-in-law is already telling me how she’s going to handle all the cooking once the baby comes...
Well, if it turns out great, I'll have plenty of time to cook however I want anyway☕

Most of the time, it’s just old ladies asking me... they didn't have ultrasounds back in their day. For them, if they could actually feel the baby moving, that was the only proof it was alive... 😁 Just trying my best not to lose it...

My mom kept breathing down my neck about whether I’d reminded her or not. It was exhausting... then, around age 23, it finally kicked in. Now it pops up a few times a day. Much easier to manage now, but everyone is different. No blisters for me—just this dull, constant throbbing from the very beginning...

Just ignore it all... no matter how hard that is...

To be totally blunt, it's my mother-in-law who's really riding my back, and she gave birth like 40 years ago...🙄
She claims she didn't have any pains during her pregnancy at all, so she uses that to tell me I'm doing something wrong, which is just so annoying...
As for me, I’ve been feeling stuff for a few days now (I'm 18 weeks along, though the ultrasound shows the baby is actually about 2 weeks ahead of schedule), but I can't tell if it's just gas, my intestines acting up, or the actual baby...🤷
How on earth are you supposed to tell the difference when everything just feels the same?😁
I get this sensation where I feel dizzy and lightheaded, almost like my stomach tightens up suddenly and then just goes limp, and I'm low-key terrified it's not just Braxton Hicks.
I'll definitely be pestering my OB-GYN with a million questions this Monday.😳
It honestly drives me up the wall—like, did the baby come back to life or what? Why wouldn't they just revive when the heartbeat kicks in?😕
That’s just my take on the whole thing, anyway🤷
And then you get into that daily interrogation cycle: oh, is it moving yet? It should have been doing something by now, maybe something's wrong... like, wtf?😕
I mean, seriously, just give it a rest; I really can't stand listening to all those stories and the constant fretting over nothing🙂
I was honestly so caught off guard by these period-like cramps during my pregnancy, and I’ve just had this constant, nagging feeling like I might actually leak or something (not that I didn't freak out until I scrolled through this forum and realized everyone goes through it)
It's kind of funny because whenever I'm catching up with my girlfriends, my mom, or even my mother-in-law, nobody ever mentions any of these other little "joys" of being pregnant besides the usual nausea🙄
And ugh, if I’m being totally honest, the way I am getting soooooooo incredibly irritable over every little thing is driving me nuts—my mood swings are just absolutely wild right now, ugh🙂
