Hey there,
I'm currently stuck at home isolating and looking for a guy to connect with. I don't have many female friends—for some reason, I've always just clicked better with guys. I'd love to find someone to grab a virtual coffee with, talk about anything and everything, and just laugh. I consider myself pretty open-minded and social.
I'm 34 with a kid. My interests include reading, interior design, and photography. I also have about 30 plants and a serious caffeine addiction. You'll find out the rest if you reach out. Ideally, I'm looking for someone roughly my age, maybe between 28 and 40.
I'm originally from the Gulf Coast.
Thanks.
Hi,
I've decided to start back on the pill. About six years ago, I was on Yasmin for about a year.
Now I'm 30 and have had a baby. What other options do you guys think would be good for me?
It’s kind of wild to me how mothers-in-law always seem way more involved than actual moms. Maybe they just want to be helpful... I honestly can't tell.
I had to jump on this thread because my mother-in-law pushed my buttons so hard today I thought I was going to have a breakdown.😁
Maybe I’m just not wired right, but I refuse to put the crib right next to my bed. Who has the energy to keep getting up all night? I also told her I don't want the baby seeing me the second they open their eyes, otherwise, I'll never be able to move them to their own room later. Right now, our spare bedroom is basically a storage unit, but if it weren't for all that stuff, that's where the baby would be sleeping.
And then she has the nerve to ask why I'd use diapers on such a tiny baby. Apparently, I should just buy a hundred cloth diapers and then boil them every single day after they get soiled. Honestly, she already tried handing me these cloth diapers that are thirty years old from when her son was a baby.🤣
To top it all off: once the baby arrives, she expects to move into our guest room for two weeks.😱She thinks she’s going to help with breastfeeding, diaper changes, cleaning... I think she forgot I have my own elderly parents to look after first. We live about fifteen minutes apart, so we definitely value our space.
So, I was waiting in line at the DMV the other day to sort out some paperwork. Naturally, the waiting room was packed, and there was only one single chair left, which was taken by this elderly man. He looked like he’d seen better days, honestly. I’m just standing there, waiting my turn, when nobody even thinks to move. Then, the woman behind the counter looks up, sees me and the old guy, and starts losing it on everyone else. She’s yelling about how people need to learn how to let pregnant women and seniors go first, telling us to step up to the window immediately. I ended up helping the gentleman up, and we both limped our way to the front together. 😁
The rest of them just rolled their eyes and huffed.
It’s happened to me a few times where people have actually pushed me out of line...
I don't mind standing if I have to, but when people get rude and entitled, I'm going to stand my ground.
My advice? Just nod along and say, "Yeah, sure, whatever..."
Then just go ahead and do what you want anyway. 😁
Tell me about it... It’s driving me crazy at home, too. I was the first one in my friend group to get married, and now, after a few years of marriage, we’re trying for a baby. Every time my friends come over—you know, the ones who are still living with their parents at 28—they give me this look. "Oh, you poor thing... you won't be able to go shopping anymore. You'll just be spending everything on a baby. Uff, do you know how much diapers cost? Oh, you won't even be able to leave the house."
Like, wtf?! It’s not like I’m in prison. I’ve lived my life, had my fun, and honestly, I'm more than ready to make these sacrifices for a kid.
At this rate, I'll probably be getting some action pretty soon. 🤣
I saw something hilarious yesterday. I happened to overhear this pregnant woman chatting with a friend of hers. The friend was rubbing her belly, and then out of nowhere, the pregnant lady reaches over and starts petting her own chest. The friend just stood there completely stunned. 🤣 The woman tells her, "That’s actually how it feels when you rub my stomach. I'm not a fan." Total boss move. 😁
Out in Malibu. Hit up Walmart and Whole Foods 😁
It’s May Day, so let’s see how the tourists act 😉
It actually surprised me how easily people just let me cut in line at the register. Yesterday, I even had two young police officers 😁
