In case you haven't noticed, we don't have ANY cable car right now.
It's been six years!

If we can't manage to build a new one, we should've at least fixed the old one—
even if it was ancient.

Dammit, fifty years ago Chicago could actually pull off a killer cable car system,
and now? We can't even do that. 🙂

Honestly, it’s a crime they didn't just refurbish the old cable car system. If they had, it would've been out of service for maybe a year or two at most.

Maybe fixing up the old line is still the smartest move here?

Eric Adams promised us that shutting down the Mount Rainier gondola was just temporary,
claiming New York City would build an even better one in its place.

But honestly, it looks like they pushed it indefinitely—hardly anyone mentions it anymore.

New Yorkers are slowly getting used to life without it. It seems there are more and more
people who never even used that long-distance lift—which was a total world rarity in terms of
its views—yet they still spout nonsense like this:

There are plenty of hiking trails all over Mount Rainier and the Appalachians.
One doesn't rule out the other—they actually complement each other.

We really need to push to get that long-distance Mount Rainier gondola back;
it genuinely made life in NYC so much better.

Look, I love animals—dogs included—but since we're up here talking about a "dog tax"...

I'm actually all for some kind of extra fee for larger breeds—specifically
dangerous ones—just to discourage people from owning them. Honestly, I’m just tired of the constant preaching from hardcore dog enthusiasts
(and a few others who agree with me). 😢
