Would you get your kids vaccinated against COVID? in Coronavirus ·
Bryan Gray91 said:And honestly, I haven't heard one single convincing argument yet either...🤷

Well, you aren't going to hear him if you don't want to. But I guess eventually everyone will wake up once they realize what they've actually done to this world.

The reason is pretty simple, really—it’s just about stopping one infectious disease. It isn't exactly the first or even the last thing experts recommend getting vaccinated for, either. I guess if you start questioning this one, you could end up questioning why other vaccines exist or why doctors prescribe certain medications and things like that. That seems fine, I suppose, as long as the person asking actually knows what they're talking about. But looking at the way people talk on this forum, it's pretty clear most folks don't even grasp how a vaccine works. So, insisting on these reasons feels kind of pointless to me. When someone actually gives you an answer, you just brush it off, probably because you feel like you know more about immunology than world-renowned scientists.

Let’s look at it this way: there is an official mandate requiring masks in the school building. Now, Peter—who happens to be in seventh grade—is sitting right there in his desk without one. How exactly is the teacher supposed to handle that?

Well, you mentioned earlier that it isn't really on the teacher, and I guess I agree with you there.

Teachers aren't the ones forcing masks on children; rather, it is a collective decision made by the CDC, medical science and common sense—the very things you and your crowd seem to love invoking so enthusiastically.

And it isn't about protecting themselves, either—it's about protecting everyone as a whole.

In schools, and honestly everywhere else, we really shouldn't have to deal with people who casually toss out those "oh, that's just how it works in a marriage... excuse me, I mean school" type of nonsense—claiming it's somehow impossible for kids to follow epidemiological protocols because, well, kids are just... unpredictable or whatever.

I mean, I guess that’s how it should work. But instead, we have this one person acting like they're the boss of it all and actually bragging about forcing masks on them. That shouldn't be their job, I suppose. It's honestly kind of sad when people like that are working in schools.

Amy Long5 said:Look, there have always been certain countries where they required vaccinations and wouldn't accept a test. Take malaria, for example. I’m against getting vaccinated for that.

When, though? I mean, about a year and a half ago, when I was traveling through a place where malaria is an issue, a vaccine for it didn't even exist yet. I guess.
