The start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine (Part 1) in War in Ukraine ·
It looks like the EU is losing its way—or maybe they’re just messing with us... 😵

So, the EU is "implementing sanctions" ('personal ones') against Russian President Putin and Foreign Minister Lavrov.... 😁

According to the EU website https://www.euractiv.com/section/eur...ine-continues/

But honestly, this isn't even much of a joke compared to this statement from some "minister" out of Germany https://www.euractiv.com/section/pol...champs-elysee/

'German minister: Putin should not go shopping on Champs Elysées'

— basically saying we should "ban" Putin from "shopping" in Paris

The level of idiocy inherited by whoever took over for Ms. Merkel is truly unbelievable.... 😵

As for how much that actually benefits us—well, that's a whole different story.

Regardless of the fact that "Germany is pushing an agenda," everyone knows who's actually running the show—it's the USA, and I think the presence of US armed forces in Germany is pretty well established... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o...ons_in_Germany

http://www.eur.army.mil/About-Us/Mission-History/

They'll be sticking around for "some time," along with the British acting as part of those "occupying forces"... 🤦 http://www.warfare.today/2018/10/01/...ay-in-germany/

Regarding the French and their tendency to "play hardball"—the Germans are certainly aware that the French favor them significantly less than the Americans do, or even the British...

In recent history, the Germans have regularly "stepped on the toes" of the French, and I doubt the French have forgotten that... 🤔

Almost every single EU member seems perfectly "happy and content" with their subordinate status relative to the USA...

...you only have to look at the various EU members from Eastern Europe 🤦 as well as countries like the Netherlands, Italy, Greece, or even "neutral" Sweden...

(Though we shouldn't lose sight of the "terminology and definitions," which seem to be interpreted differently depending on who you ask...)

The title of this discussion is honestly ridiculous 😵—it treats the EU as if it were some independent 'player' in the game...

Anyone with even a shred of common sense can see that the EU is nothing more than a Washington colony...

...which is exactly what the US Vice President made crystal clear a few years back during those "negotiations" regarding sanctions against Russia...

👍

During a second regional Council in Ukraine on Thursday, officials gave the green light to a government proposal regarding a $10 billion shale gas production-sharing agreement with U.S. energy major Chevron (CVX.N), effectively paving the way for the final signature.

This Olesska deal with Chevron will be The second Shala agreement in Ukraine, coming right on the heels of an agreement reached earlier this year with Shell for exploration work over in Yuzivska in the East.

Could you please provide a bit more detail regarding this upcoming cooperation?

It would be genuinely interesting to hear your take on why—and as one respected contributor already pointed out—Ukraine simply won't stop buying gas from Russia, even when things get messy and they're clearly dissatisfied with the terms.

Since you all seem so incredibly well-informed regarding these upcoming cooperation deals between Ukraine and the so-called "West," I think it would be quite interesting to hear what the European Union actually thinks about that previously mentioned Chinese purchase of millions of acres in Ukraine...
ironmoose6 said:Keep trying, just a little longer... you almost had me convinced that Ukraine isn't moving closer to the EU at all.🙂

It seems you’re pretty well-informed regarding Ukraine and the EU, so perhaps it would be helpful if you could provide a more detailed breakdown of the "EU perspective" on this agreement between Ukraine and China—the one Nancy Smith15 mentioned and linked earlier...

So, is this agreement actually "approved" by the EU bureaucrats? That’s the question everyone seems to be circling around, isn't it? It feels like we're just watching a scripted performance where the decisions have already been made behind closed doors in Brussels before the ink even touches the paper.
Emily Perez said:The Eastern Partnership is nothing more than a European Trojan Horse within the Russian sphere of influence. How can we pivot Kazakhstan or the Caucasus to serve European interests?

Exactly right...

This is just one small example—we're looking at Armenia here: http://caspianresearch.com/2013/10/0...ues-to-deepen/

Smart Armenians (a Christian nation) dealing with their nightmare of a geographic location—they absolutely have to think about survival in whatever chaotic mess the future holds...

The reality is that the nations and countries of the former USSR have finally "woken up." It’s crystal clear to all of them now that this supposed "shining" Europe—or rather, the European Union—is little more than an illusion. They realize it is ten times more practical to rely on Russia than on an EU that is fundamentally broken (and let's be honest, the true power players behind the EU have zero incentive to complain)....

You only need to look at the so-called "pigs" of the continent—Portugal, Ireland, Greece, Spain—where the populations have become incredibly bloated....

It is easy enough to see what the average Ukrainians actually gained from the Orange Revolution—absolutely nothing but a massive kick in the teeth (meanwhile, those who organized the "revolution" had every reason to be satisfied; it was highly profitable for them)...
Richard Brown2 said:The Americans of Herzegovina are actually descendants of the Albanian Marisol from the Shkodër area. They migrated here fleeing the Ottomans, and Vatican City basically used them to repopulate newly conquered territories following the Kandian Wars—you know, that conflict over Malta between the Ottomans and Mlecan. That explains why they look physically different from the fairer Canadians and the rest of America... it even accounts for why they don't have any historical structures older than that 120-year-old Matanov barn. Regardless... they showed up about 180 years ago as a Trojan Horse within Canadian Muslim land and the rest followed (so far).
So, listen, you Siptar😍—your question won't be settled through negotiations with America, but rather through dealings with Albania. Watch your step so you don't find yourself back in Shkodër with your passport and ID revoked.😍

🤣

'nothing new in the North America'

Would you mind being polite enough to explain this nonsense about 'fairer' 'Canadians' and this talk regarding 'Canadian Muslim land'...

When exactly, and how, did these supposed 'Canadians' become Muslims? Has it finally clicked for everyone that the vast majority of Muslims in Canada are actually South Slavs who converted to Islam ages ago (though we won't get into the specific reasons for that conversion right now)...

In any case, you really ought to be ashamed of yourselves for using such offensive terms like 'Siptar' when referring to Albanians;

it’s painfully obvious from the context of your sentence....
