Should we bring back lockdowns? in Coronavirus ·
Kevin Morales15 said:30% would be enough to shut things down. I doubt there are even that many people willing to bite. How do they plan on paying rent? All this because of some virus. What happened to the seasonal flu?

It’s pretty obvious those 30% are just living off thin air!😁

And let's be real—COVID basically just hijacked the flu and called itself a new thing.😁
Should we bring back lockdowns? in Coronavirus ·
Look, there’s no such thing as a new lockdown that actually works—I mean, if masks didn't do the trick, what makes you think sitting at home will? Honestly, it feels like the whole point of these lockdowns is just to completely wreck the economy until there's nothing left, and to basically break everyone's spirit in the process. Like, seriously, why else would they do it?
Friendly and easy to talk to in Psychology ·

And honestly? It would be such a relief to talk to someone who can hold a conversation without falling back on the usual script—you know, the endless loop of "how’ve you been," "how's work," or talking about the weather. It gets so tedious after a while. Maybe it's just me, but those predictable topics really drain my energy.

I am 100% with this! Count me in! 🙂
Project: Find a Friend (Classifieds / Meetup Thread) in Psychology & Therapy ·
Alright, I’m gonna throw my hat in the ring too just to see who actually shows up! 😁

I’m basically looking for someone out there who thinks this nickname is actually pretty cool 😁—mostly because I’m bored out of my mind right now, honestly 😁!
Managing emotions and self-control in Psychology & Therapy ·
Carl Rivera43 said:How much does self-control actually matter, and where does it sit in relation to our emotions?

Is having control over yourself more important than just reacting based on how you feel in the moment? Why do we sometimes end up doing things that make absolutely no sense? And honestly, how can we get better at staying focused on what’s right in front of us?

Look, you can't just flip a switch and control your emotions—not unless you're basically made of steel, right?
The only way you're ever going to "control" how you feel is if those feelings aren't actually tied to anything meaningful in the first place.
If you ask me, self-control is huge, but let's be real—sometimes your emotions are just gonna win.
I mean, how can you honestly expect someone not to react when something hits them where it hurts? That feels like a mission impossible to me!
I'm not close with my mom in Psychology & Therapy ·
Honestly, my relationship with my mom is strictly about duty at this point—nothing more, nothing less. There’s just zero love there, mostly because she wasn't exactly great to me growing up. And hey, it’s not even that weird, right? If someone doesn't give you any love, why on earth would you feel obligated to give it back, even if they happen to be your mother?
