That last part is where people trip up.
That's the thing.
Just because you aren't a total piece of trash doesn't mean everyone else isn't allowed to treat you like one.
Screw all those rules, the morality, and all that other nonsense they preach at church.
Live your life exactly how you want, even if that means stepping over anyone in your way just to find some semblance of satisfaction and happiness.
Goodness doesn't come back to you, at least not in the way you think it does.
Be true to yourself and stop giving a damn about anything else; be a bastard, sure, but at least be a happy bastard rather than some miserable saint.

Even regarding what you mentioned,
I sign off on everything you said.
It’s just that I’m neither a happy bastard nor a happy saint.
But whatever.
You just find a way to get by, even if you're unhappy doing it.

Why are you jumping straight to moving into a commune?
That should be the absolute last resort on your list of options.

It doesn't have to be right now,
but in a few years, it’s looking pretty inevitable.
I need to find a community that isn't some kind of concentration camp.
Because apparently, according to everyone else, there's nowhere else in this world for someone like me to fit in.
Some guy with a shotgun who lost his mind was in a similar spot once.
So, what's the alternative? Retreat back into video games and let what little personality I have left just wither away until I'm bouncing between psychiatric wards?
As if I'm guilty of anything, I've just been screwed over by life.
I could accept it if I had spent my whole life being a total piece of trash and treating people like garbage, but I haven't.

We have some options over here, and since we aren't that far apart, I guess you could always drive over to my neck of the woods if things are looking thin where you are.
It really helps, trust me.

Sure, they exist here too, but I’ve mapped out a different path for myself if things don't change regarding certain issues.
I was simply asking about people's experiences; I want to get a feel for what those communes are actually like beforehand.
The best way is to hear it from someone who has actually been there.
As for group therapy, I already have a pretty good idea of how that works.
Hello
Has anyone here ever been part of a commune, a specialized hospital, or a specific support group?

Specifically, I'm looking for firsthand accounts regarding The Last Supper community or the Cliff specialized facility.
What was your experience like there?
What are the rules and restrictions?
Do they separate men and women?
What kind of people typically stay there?

Also, which organizations would you recommend for individuals dealing with social anxiety, depression, Asperger's, or personality disorders like borderline, avoidant, schizoid, or schizotypal?

I had no idea this place even existed
So, I figured I'd give it a shot.
Greetings.
Male, 35, looking for a female friend between the ages of 20 and 40
Exclusively in the Pittsburgh area or nearby
Your medical diagnoses aren't particularly relevant to me (we'll see about that later).
I deal with social anxiety, depression, and a few other things myself.
I'd love to find a friend who might want to hit the basketball courts at the local fort with me, maybe go for a run and chat if we actually find something to talk about.
If you don't feel like talking, you don't have to; just run after the ball.
If you aren't much of an athlete, it doesn't matter.
I'm down for anything—table tennis, tennis, chess, cards, or board games.
I just have no clue where to find a table X
I'm relatively into PC gaming.
Watching a good movie is great, though I'm not obsessed with series.
I like techno music, any kind.
It doesn't matter what you listen to.
I don't touch illegal drugs, just the legal stuff X
I don't drink alcohol.
I am a smoker.
Whether you smoke or not isn't a dealbreaker for me, but I can't stand it when a woman drinks to the point of alcoholism.
The only thing I'm uncertain about is whether I can connect with anyone dealing with schizophrenia or BPD; perhaps there's room for those on the milder end of the spectrum, or for BPD if it's a quiet type—but then we'll deal with the fallout later.
Otherwise, I think everything else is on the table.
And I honestly have no idea what else to write here.
If anyone is interested, send me a private message so we can get to know each other through text first, and then we'll see how things go.
Physical appearance isn't a factor for me since I'm strictly seeking friendship.
The possibility of anything more than that is highly questionable; it would take a significant amount of time spent hanging out and getting to know one another.
It bothers me if you have children or if you have so many friends and obligations that you can barely breathe.
I despise snobbish parents and I hate it when outsiders meddle in a friendship.
If you tend to have no sense of self, then please don't bother reaching out.
I couldn't care less about your financial status, religion, or nationality.
You obviously need to be single, though being divorced is fine—but again, no children.
I hope I've covered everything properly.
