Back in the day, maybe 6 or 7 years ago, I was on Lyndinette and honestly? Loved it. My period went from lasting 8 days down to just 5, it was way lighter, and always perfectly on schedule. Zero side effects for me.
Since then, I’ve had two pregnancies, and now my doctor says I can't touch birth control pills anymore. He said hormonal patches were my only option, so I’ve been using those for about a year and a half now—and man, I am nowhere near as happy as I was on the pill. Not to mention they’re way pricier since you need a private prescription. My cycle is regular, sure, but it’s still incredibly heavy; it only dropped from 8 days to 7. Plus, after a couple of days, the patch starts looking a mess. The edges lift up and catch on my clothes, and by day 7, the borders look absolutely gross. I don't even dare scrub too hard when I shower because it’s peeled off on me twice already. And get this—after a year and a half, I’m still getting a rash under it. At first, the itching was driving me insane, and even though it doesn't itch as much now, my skin looks terrible whenever I peel it off.
Look, I know everyone reacts differently, and maybe someone else might actually prefer the patch over pills, but personally? I wouldn't recommend it. If I had any other choice, I’d ditch it tomorrow in a heartbeat.

And tbh, it goes against how I was raised. I was taught that ordering delivery for something you can easily grab yourself is just lazy, and I bet a lot of other people feel the same way.
Longer. Feels like those lines have been there for a month.
The first time I saw one was right around the day of the earthquake (or so I think, maybe Miller was still open that day). Or maybe it was when I went out for bread and milk sometime after the quake.
Anyway, from what I can tell, the big stores don't have those lines (at least based on what I saw at General Mills in Zaporizhzhia and that Kroger over on Ottawa Street).
That Kroger on Main St usually has a line, and they let like 10 people in at a time with a security guard, but when I went last Friday around 11 AM there wasn't a line outside—you just walked right in. But man, it was chaos inside! There were probably 30 people hovering over the produce, and the same thing with the milk and bread areas, or where they slice the deli meats. I spent at least 15 minutes at the express lane because there were ten people ahead of me.
As for delivery? Good luck. I used to be able to order DoorDash from Kroger for the next day or even the day after, but now? No way you're snagging a slot. Even if they do open up times, it'll be a week out. I'm not gonna sit here camping by my computer refreshing the page constantly hoping to catch an earlier spot. Not happening.
So, this popped up on my screen today.
Anyone know how long it usually takes for blood work to show up on the patient portal?
I can see my old labs and prescriptions just fine, but I had blood drawn this past Friday and nothing is showing up yet. Not sure if there’s a glitch somewhere or if it just takes a few days to pop up online.

It makes more sense now.
I actually need them for some other reasons—things my doctor mentioned could help—but I really don't feel like driving door-to-door across town just to get a single box of pills.
I know it sounds reckless, but what can you do...
Look, it’s not like you have to go all out. Just hit up the OBGYN for a quick checkup, get some bloodwork done, and boom—you're done. That's basically the absolute bare minimum for any kind of follow-up.
After that, you just give them a call when you're running low on your meds to get a new prescription sent over, and that's it.

Seriously, people—especially other women and pregnant women—act like they can't grasp that we don't all experience this the same way. Every single pregnancy is different. Instead of showing a little solidarity, they just love to lecture you.
"Oh, I worked right up until the delivery, I was out digging trenches in the backyard, climbing mountains, wrestling lightning bolts..." Yeah, wow. You're just incredible. Truly amazing. You're a hero. :kozjak:
Just shut up already.
Maybe people just don't know what to say, so they end up talking absolute nonsense.
Man, reminds me of this one time at a local festival. This old lady starts tearing into a pregnant woman like that, acting all tough, but then the woman's mother-in-law—who happened to be the old lady's next-door neighbor—totally shuts her down. She just reminded her that after seven pregnancies, she only actually made it to full term twice. After that, the lady went dead silent about her "wise" advice.

Though, I should probably point out that no stranger has tried that yet, so I’m not entirely sure how I would react... 😂
Haha, same here! 😁
I totally expected to be annoyed by it. I mean, I haven't had random people grabbing at me in public or anything, but a few coworkers I hadn't seen in a while were super sweet about it and all made sure to ask if it was okay first. It was actually pretty cute.
Hey,
My OBGYN just handed me a referral for some bloodwork at Martic (standard procedure, they just print it out automatically), but I know whenever I go for labs, they always grill you about which primary care doctor sent the order.
Usually, I just head over to Siget since my doctor is based there, plus the old OBGYN clinic used to be right there too.
Now I'm stuck. I shot an email over to Martic and they told me I need to go where my GP actually referred me, but nobody at Siget is getting back to my messages.
Does anyone know if I can just get this done anywhere?
I went through the exact same thing. My periods were heavy, painful, lasted about 6 or 7 days, and were totally all over the place—sometimes I’d get them again after just 15 days, other times I’d go two whole months without one. Then I started on Lyndinette. While I was on them, everything was awesome. My flow dropped to 5 days, barely even noticed it, and my cycle became super predictable. But man, once I stopped, everything rushed right back to how it used to be. :-(
The cramps weren't as bad anymore, but that irregularity was driving me absolutely insane. Plus, they were so heavy. So yeah, I'm back on them now and I don't plan on stopping until I'm ready to try for a baby.
But hey, it might not work out the same way for you...
Wait, what happened there? Just a single name. You gotta give me the actual post, friend! I can't work my magic if there's nothing to rewrite. Send over the text you want me to flip and I'll get on it. Ready when you are. kaže:
My bad. Totally misread that. Thought you wanted the week to start early today. 🙈
The only thing popping into my head right now is... just take another week off. Seriously. 🤔
I mean, I don't know how smart that move actually is (and even then, you'd probably still need extra protection). Maybe just go talk to a gynecologist?
Ugh, honestly, I don't think extending the break is such a great call...
I pushed it just a little bit further. Looks like I'll be fine if I just stick to this for one more week, then finally take a break.
The only thing they’re saying is that spotting might happen over the next month or two if the period gets pushed back. But mostly, people mention it if things get delayed by like two weeks or if you just power through another whole pack without taking a break.
Really hope I can dodge this thing since it wouldn't even be moving for another week. 😛

Could I just keep going for another week after finishing these boxes—maybe push through one more stretch—and then finally take a breather before starting up again? With a whole new box? — honestly, it makes you wonder if we’re just resetting the clock entirely.
So, does this mean you're just going to "toss" a blister pack with 14 pills left in it? 🤔
I mean, I won't just dump them right away. I'll probably keep them as a backup for a few months. Honestly, life gets crazy sometimes and I realize at the last second that I need a new prescription, so they might actually come in handy.
Even if I do toss them, whatever, it is what it is. 🤔
I just wanna know if it's okay to shift things around—like, if I finish the whole box and then end up only having one week's worth left before taking my break—and if doing that messes with the protection.
Wait, did you guys see that? Seriously. My heart is still racing. Just when you think things are settling down, boom—total chaos. It’s wild how fast everything changes. Honestly, I’m just sitting here trying to process it all. Anyone else feeling this way or is it just me? Unbelievable. kaže:
I think it’s enough to just skip the break after this pack and jump straight into a new one. And, from what I know, you won't even need extra protection since you're on the pill the whole time anyway. 🙂
I thought about it, but then my period's gonna show up a week earlier next month (once this new pack kicks in), and that’s just not happening. It'll clash with stuff I've already got scheduled, and honestly, I can't deal with that mess.
Honestly, if there’s any way to pull it off, I’d rather just push it back a week. Like, if it's even possible to get her a week later than planned, that would be huge. 🕺
Anyone here ever messed with their cycle to push their period back by a week?
I really want it to show up a week later than usual because right now it’s hitting at the worst times during June and August when I definitely don't need it.
I did a little digging online and I think this should work, but I'd feel way better if someone could actually confirm.
Once I finish this pack, can I just keep taking them for another week before taking a break and then starting a whole new pack?
And do I need to use extra protection during that time?
Hey guys!
Need some advice from the pros here. I’ve been on Lindynette for about a year now, but I hit the road for a weekend trip yesterday and totally blanked on grabbing my pack. So yeah, I’m gonna miss two doses.
I’ve got 7 pills left in the blister pack. Last one was Thursday, and since I didn't realize I forgot them until yesterday evening, there wasn't any way for me to go pick some up.
Not sure what the smartest move is right now.
I was thinking maybe just take a seven-day break and then start back up normally. But I don't know—should I start a brand new pack after that, or finish these last seven and jump straight into a new pack without a gap?
And will I still get my period during this break even if it happens a week earlier than usual?
What about protection? I'm assuming I should probably use extra backup for at least a week or two, right?
Ugh, I'm so annoyed with myself. This has never happened before. 😵
