Period talk: Questions and advice in Women's Health ·
Got a quick question—if anyone's dealt with this, hit me up... not even sure if I'm in the right place here...
Has anyone actually tried those evening primrose oil capsules mixed with Vitamin E and B? You know, the ones from CVS...
My OB-GYN suggested them for my PMS symptoms, so I'm just wondering if anyone's actually using them and if they actually work...
Has anyone here tried those evening primrose oil capsules from CVS with Vitamin E and B included?
Just wondering if they actually worked for you guys and how long it’s safe to keep taking them....
My OB-GYN recommended it—not specifically the ones at CVS, but just taking evening primrose oil combined with vitamins. But honestly, getting specific brands plus all the extra vitamins at the pharmacy around $33... depending on the manufacturer and which vitamins you grab, it gets crazy expensive, so I spotted these at CVS....
Please, if anyone has any experience with this, let me know.....

If your liver isn't acting up—meaning no pain, nothing palpable during an exam, and you're watching what you eat like you said—then there's zero reason to freak out over a borderline GGT reading.
That said, keep an eye on it. Watch how your liver handles different meds, food, or drinks, and definitely give your doctor a heads-up before starting any new prescriptions.

thanks
hey vividsailor7, what do you think? any advice on diet changes or ways I can get these numbers better?
got a gastroscopy coming up soon—took some Nexium because they're looking into possible cirrhosis... ultrasound was fine except my liver looks slightly enlarged...
blood and urine work came back and my MCHC and GGT are a bit elevated, but everything else looks normal. I don't drink (just wine at weddings or birthdays), no smoking, and no drugs. I don't touch soda or fast food either—mostly just home-cooked meals. The only thing I'm wondering is if GGT could be high because I take Ibuprofen when my period cramps get brutal? It’s basically the only thing that works, so I take it every month...
MCHC is 361 (320-345)
AST 13
ALT 16
ALP 75
GGT 41 (9-35)

urine is totally fine, and cholesterol and triglycerides are good too
should I actually worry about this GGT level??? about a year and a half ago I had the flu and got bloodwork done, and GGT was only 35 then.
Looking for a specialist... in Health ·
Does anyone have the scoop on Dr. Zoran Veir over at Rib or maybe that Dr. Budija guy from Dubrava—I can't even remember his last name properly????? I'm looking into eyelid surgery...
