A man might stray far afield, yet he’s expected to hold his own home close to his chest. 🍿

I actually found myself discussing this exact topic of the day with a younger colleague recently. We were dissecting a situation where an incredibly wealthy father insisted his future son-in-law sign a prenuptial agreement. I told him quite plainly that it was perfectly reasonable, but my colleague took offense, arguing that such things have nothing to do with true love. I countered by suggesting that signing those papers—essentially proving you value the person more than their inheritance—is exactly what love looks like. It’s a bit ironic, though, considering he lives with his girlfriend, who comes from a much more affluent background than he does.
A prenuptial agreement is non-negotiable. It’s simply the most honest way to start.

It’s all those little psychological games—mixing up different emotions to create a certain thrill if you can control them? Well, I'm just not built that way. Honestly, I couldn't decide which would be more awkward: her seeing someone else, or her begging me to hook her up with one of her girlfriends 😬

So you're actually going to beg her to hook up with her friend? Go ahead, tell yourself that’s perfectly fine. Hah.
As if anyone could actually manage to pull that off with her. It’s simply not happening.
If a man cheats on his wife but views it as nothing more than a bit of recreation—sort of like playing a quick game of ping-pong—then there isn’t really a problem, provided she never finds out.
The idea being that if he still loves his wife and treats her well, it stays within bounds. However, if the wife were to engage in the same behavior, that would be a different story entirely. 😁
Sanctions on Russia in War in Ukraine ·
I haven't really been following this war lately; honestly, I lost interest somewhere around the two-month mark.
Have those sanctions actually managed to shake Russia, or is it all just empty noise?
If you want to disconnect from the internet—or at least stop letting it consume your life—the most effective remedy is simply to stay busy.
Personally, I could easily manage without the internet or a smartphone. I check Meta once a day after I wake up, just enough to see if anyone significant has passed away or been born, and then I’m done. I don't bother with the news; my only real indulgence is the occasional bit of banter on this forum, though even that isn't strictly necessary.
It is quite striking how many people would be utterly lost without a connection. There is an entire demographic of people who live with their phones glued to their hands, constantly scrolling, liking, or photographing the pasta they are currently eating.
Caught completely off guard in Spirituality ·
Morgan Peterson6 said:He’s in such a dark place—some days he even messages me saying he just wants to be erased, to simply cease existing. He’s craving nonexistence. He’s been on this deep journey of awakening for years now, soaking up all kinds of literature and life experiences... and now? He just can't find any meaning in anything. He says he hasn't found a single thing that gives him hope that we’re here for any reason other than being food.
He honestly views this whole world as a flawed piece of work—like something went wrong during the Creation. He thinks we're just programmed, living in some kind of matrix where entities stomp all over us like we're characters in a video game with zero free will. He doesn't find any joy in life; he's just deeply, profoundly unhappy. He can't stand the injustice and the sheer pain of this dimension. I can feel his sadness... and it makes me so sad just being around it. He’s one of those truly good, gentle souls... how am I even supposed to help him?

He's swallowed far too many fringe theories, leaving him with nothing but mental and emotional chaos.

Just drop him off in Africa and let a lion loose on him; all those grand fantasies would vanish instantly. Hard physical labor is also a cure—intense manual work under extreme conditions like hunger or cold.

When a person isn't physically active and stays tucked away in comfort, they start drifting into delusions.
I often say that women need to stay busy with work, because if they aren't physically engaged, their minds overwork themselves and spiral into fantasy.

Was he ever actually stable before he started devouring all that "spiritual" literature?
Movie recommendations? in Off-topic ·
I don't really watch movies, so I'm in no position to offer any recommendations.
