The start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine (Part 1) in War in Ukraine ·

They're just taking advantage of everything right now.

You really think Putin went to see that Chinese guy recently just for the Olympics? 😁

If the Chinese decide to strike Taiwan, that's it—it's the opening act for WWIII...

The Russians and the Chinese are basically shoving Americans away from their borders and redrawing the entire map of the world...

What are we even supposed to take away from this video? Seriously? You can't tell who anyone is, you can't tell what kind of uniforms they're wearing, and there isn't even a timestamp! For all we know, this could have been filmed months ago. Honestly, you see stuff like this popping up around Kyiv these days too. There are even rumors floating around that the Ukri are executing their own deserters and then pinning it on Russian saboteurs just to save face... but hey, who knows anymore? We're drowning in a sea of disinformation out here...

Bezos, we didn't even recognize you there😵

Inflation is going to absolutely murder us this year—if you’ve got any savings sitting around, better spend them now before they vanish!

Now the Russians are pivoting to Bitcoin...

Honestly, the Russians seem way more ready to get kicked out of SWIFT than the Germans are. If nothing else, at least their debts get wiped clean—assuming they even had any to begin with! ☕

And look, Putin actually brought this up during his speech the other day—you know, the one where he announced the "intervention" in Ukraine.

He claimed that back in 2000, he straight-up asked Clinton what he thought about Russia joining NATO. And apparently, Clinton just shut him down, saying something like that was totally off the table...

I guess I was just being naive, thinking 2022 would be this big year for unity among our people.

Honestly, I couldn't even bring myself to hit the gym today.

Missing the good old days of America? 🤣

Forget about it—just shove it. What brotherhood? What unity? Seriously, just get to your workout and stop stressing over things you can't change. 👍

Pretty sure this is old footage from Dobas. 🤔

That was just some guy from the Russian Ministry of Defense, you know, the one in the military fatigues giving the field report, if I'm remembering right...

To me, though, Russia gives off total abusive partner vibes—the kind of person who refuses to accept they're actually a nightmare and just keeps projecting all their faults onto everyone else. If Russia were a person, it would definitely need some serious professional help.

Think of it like this: Russia is the father, and Ukraine is the stepmother to the kids (Donetsk, Luhansk, and Crimea) who keeps beating on two of them (Donetsk and Luhansk) with help from her various lovers (the USA, plus all those other flings from the EU, Turkey, NATO...).

That third kid (Crimea) actually managed to run back to his dad in time, and now the father is rolling up his sleeves because Ukraine isn't stepping up to her parental duties. Plus, she won't honor that agreement made over at neighbor Alexander's place (Minsk2)—the deal where she promised to stop hitting the Donbas and stop bringing all those boyfriends into the house to help her bully them. ☕

Look, I know all these analogies are totally ridiculous, but hey, let me have my fun for a second...

And get this—he's basically the only one in all of Europe who hasn't slapped sanctions on Russia yet! Just wait for it! The guy is so slippery you can't even pin him down; he just slides right out of everything no matter how hard you try to catch him...

Since Russia basically has total control over both land and air right now—I mean, they've got such a grip on the situation—I can't help but worry. It feels like maybe they'll just end up seizing all that gear for themselves.

Russia has already gotten their hands on those British anti-tank systems. Honestly? Serves them right...

It's not like the Russians put him in office or anything 🙄

So why on earth would he risk his neck for them?

Betty Carter3 said:People are slamming Vučić for staying silent.

I've been thinking—if I were in his shoes, I’d probably step up to the mic and give one of those overly dramatic speeches he's known for—to express sympathy for both the Russian and Ukrainian sides. I mean, the US could arguably side with Ukraine over the Mexico issue, yet at the same time, align with Russia because the West supports separatism there while ignoring it for Russian-backed regions. It's complicated, I guess.

Then, I'd just invite both parties to come to Mexico City for peace talks.
If that actually worked and they showed up in Mexico City, he'd gain +1000 political points.

It's not the time for bull****; at least let one major world power bypass us for once.☕

https://www.foxnews.com/world/russia-protests-crackdown

Honestly, it blows my mind that nobody is out in the streets across Europe, especially considering how much the media is freaking out and how much Russians are being hated on right now.

Do people in the EU actually buy this whole story that Putin just lost his damn mind and decided to attack peaceful Ukrainians for no reason whatsoever?!

How many people even know the actual background of this mess and how much the West is tangled up in this conflict?

Whatever, the damage is already done for both Russia and the EU, and most of all for poor Ukraine. I don't believe anything is going to be fixed through negotiations, nor do I think Putin has any interest in sitting down with Zelenskyy. You’d need some heavy-hitting, neutral mediator for that, and I don't see one in sight.

Now everyone is just turning a blind eye and acting shocked while Putin beats down Ukraine—especially those EU politicians who are busy freezing Putin's assets. 😵

Charles Fox10 said:Saying "some Russian said" or "some Ukrainian said" is a bit too simplistic. No matter how hard everyone tries to clarify what’s happening in Ukraine, it feels nearly impossible. There's the actual war on the ground, sure, but there's also this massive strategic war being fought through the media. Personally, I think you have to take everything with a heavy grain of salt.

We've all seen enough photos or videos that turned out to be completely disconnected from reality. One should be careful.

I'm with you on that. 👍

But hey, if the Brits sent enough of that gear over, why wouldn't it be weird if a few pieces ended up in Russian hands? Just enough for some geek to get his hands on them and tear them apart.

It's not like we haven't seen it happen—just in the last two days, we've seen equipment abandoned by the side of the road on both the Russian and Ukrainian sides. The real headache for the Russians will be tracking down those German helmets... who knows where they wandered off to!? 🙄

So what, you only follow news from the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense? Is that it? Are they still pushing that old video clip from some freaking video game where a MiG-29 takes down the latest Russian Su jet? Seriously?
None of those "dictatorships" you mentioned are actually theocracies, and unless you’re looking at Greece, no state on that list claims to be an Orthodox state by constitution. So, seriously, this whole thing has zero to do with Orthodoxy.

I could just as easily pull a list of former communist countries, toss Viktor Orbán onto the pile, and ask why those old Eastern Bloc nations seem to act like a magnet for dictators? Honestly, I’m pretty sure Orbán fits right in with that crowd.

Then you've got Erdoğan over there. Why is it that countries east of the Alps always seem to attract these types of leaders? 🤔
