Laura Jackson said:Technogym is one of those top-tier brands they use in high-end commercial gyms, but you probably don't need to drop that kind of cash, so I’d suggest looking at Peloton—it's excellent (I actually own a few of their pieces) and won't break the bank.
I have a Peloton elliptical (alpha570), and let me tell you, it was a total disaster. My wife and I absolutely beat the hell out of it for less than three months. Let’s just say our average workout session was about an hour a day. Within no time, the pedals warped, and after just a week, it started making enough racket that the entire neighborhood could tell exactly when we were working out.
Naturally, we filed a claim and got a replacement. Fast forward another three months, and the pedal has already given up the ghost, even though the machine hasn't been used much at all. It feels like these things are engineered more to serve as expensive clothes racks than actual fitness equipment. That's why I'm currently hunting for something built to last.
I've got my eye on an XLT 1200 from Gold's Gym, which retails for around $1,100, and I've spotted some Technogym models too, but I can't seem to find any transparent pricing anywhere.😢
