The claim that you can't even pass through there because of them caught me off guard. I haven't personally had to navigate that area in years, so I'm out of the loop, but it sounds like they're just a bunch of crooks.
I've been working here for five or six years now, and when I'm on the late shift, I actually hesitate to take the trash out to the McDonald's. You have these asylum seekers just sitting on the benches near the fruit stands, staring at young girls and catcalling them. I was a refugee during the war myself, and even then, I made sure to respect the culture of the country I moved to.
I don't know when their little tea party is happening, but if the rumors are true, it wouldn't be a bad idea to organize a few drinks over at Importanne... just as a preventative measure...
The parking lot by the Whole Foods is closed, so if you aren't grabbing your groceries now, expect to wait about fifteen minutes past 4:30 once everyone settles in.
Get your tickets sorted as early as possible if you can. Trying to grab them on game day is a complete nightmare when there are over a thousand people at the stadium, so you can probably imagine the chaos waiting for us tomorrow.
gentlebison75 said:It all comes down to the song itself. If the rhythm is solid and the rhymes hit, people pick it up fast. If stadium attendance was the only factor in learning a chant, then huge European clubs with 50,000 fans at every game would never learn anything new. But we see them doing it constantly.
If the beat is right and you pair it with clever, catchy lyrics, the crowd catches on within a few games. 😉
You aren't listening. Numbers aren't the issue. The issue is when you have 500 people showing up for most of the season, and then suddenly 5,000 show up for the big rivalry game. It’s obvious those who skip the smaller matchups won't know the chants. Half the derby ends in a mumble. For this to actually work, that turnout needs to be consistent, and it just isn't.
gentlebison75 said:The songs are just a symptom of how dead the energy is in the stands. We need to be honest: the BBB have had terrible taste in anthems for years now. I hope they fix it soon.
There’s no bigger mistake than debuting new songs during a "big" game when the stadium is packed way beyond the usual crowd. It never works out.
