Russia's invasion of Ukraine: Part 5 in War in Ukraine ·
Is it just me, or was that statement from the Press Secretary incredibly weird? He basically handed out an itinerary, specifying exactly where and when they’ll be announcing the annexation of those breakaway republics into Russia. It makes me wonder if we're looking at a potential false flag operation. Imagine them holding a grand ceremony somewhere else entirely, while planting explosives at the scheduled location to cause casualties—then blaming Ukrainian terrorists to justify a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, or maybe even going nuclear. Honestly, it wouldn't be the first time they've pulled something like that.

The whole tone the Press Secretary used to announce everything felt strangely theatrical and off to me.

Instead of being remembered for that, the world is going to remember them for nothing but vodka, seizing territory, and those violent hordes that, thank God, are currently fighting on every single front.

👍

I couldn't agree more.

Bryan Jackson12 said:Putin has shamed Russia more than anyone else ever has. Between those videos of absolute thugs in prison, the rhetoric from useful idiots like Medvedev threatening nuclear strikes, and the systematic killing of political rivals... he’s basically dragged the country back fifty years.

Exactly.
He had every opportunity to use his natural charisma and authority to rein in the oligarchs, wipe out corruption, bridge the gap between Russia and the West, mend ties with all his neighbors, and push forward in tech, art, and space exploration—essentially becoming a modern-day Peter the Great. Instead, fueled by pure greed and stupidity, he's dragging Russia straight back into the Middle Ages and torching what little positive global reputation they managed to build after the fall of the USSR.

As for Zakharov, Medvedev, Dugin, and that entire circus of lunatics, they aren't even worth the breath.

I haven't been hanging around this thread for long. Life got in the way.

Since I was last here, a few of my perspectives have shifted slightly.

Kudos to the Ukrainian military for pulling off that successful counteroffensive.

It’ll be interesting to see how the White House responds once the Ukrainians hit the LPR border.

Basically, we're entering that phase of the war where things actually start getting interesting on the battlefield. In my opinion, this is when the decisive battles finally begin.

Are there actually people here who honestly believe the Russians have to pay off the locals in the LNR and DNR just to get them to welcome them as liberators? 🤦

It’s pretty obvious you don't actually have a counter-argument to what I laid out, so why even bother jumping in and feeling obligated to reply to a post that wasn't even directed at you?

Or did you just write that comment just so you could throw in a "history class" jab?

Pathetic, and honestly, we've all seen it a thousand times before. 🥱

It's working now. Thanks, 👍
