It feels like every time a team makes a couple of decent moves, the betting odds suddenly skyrocket like they're ready to dominate the league overnight. I've seen this pattern so many times with young rosters that it's hard to take the sudden optimism seriously. Do you guys actually buy into these early championship projections, or is it all just noise?
Hormonal Contraception: The Pill [General Discussion] in Women's Health ·
Hey there! I have a quick question for you all... my doctor recommended I start taking Yaz pills, and I’m supposed to begin the regimen in just a few days. To be honest, I’ve never used hormonal birth control before—this is all brand new territory for me—so I’m feeling a little bit anxious about the whole thing. He mentioned that these are relatively new on the market and that they are quite effective and generally well-tolerated by most patients... but here’s the kicker: the fact that they are "new" is exactly what’s weighing on my mind. It feels a bit unsettling when you realize there isn't decades of long-term data available yet, you know? So, I wanted to check in with this community—is anyone here currently on them? Have you had any unexpected side effects, or perhaps heard any horror stories from friends or family?
White Maasai in Movies ·
steelstag4 said:I noticed nobody has started a thread about this yet—even though the movie has been out in theaters for quite a while now, so...

Anyway, I saw it about two weeks ago and it’s still swirling around in my head. Actually, "swirling" is an understatement—it’s practically haunting me...

I caught the film just three days ago and honestly? I am obsessed. It feels like I’ve been hypnotized—like I’m actually living inside the movie itself, just waiting for one of those scenes to play out in my own life. I loved how you put it when you said it "haunts" you... that is exactly what is happening to me, and it’s such a relief to know I’m not the only one feeling this way.

I’ve seen plenty of movies over the years, but nothing has ever left such a profound impact on me. I actually sat through it twice in a row! I was in a bit of a daze once the credits rolled, and even now, I feel like I’m still stuck in "that world," almost oblivious to everything going on around me here in the real world.

The most fascinating part is that this is a true story—not just some flight of fancy. The sheer courage and strength shown by that woman is absolutely breathtaking. While I initially felt a pang of sadness regarding how the film ended, I realized (after watching it a second time) that the ending had to be exactly as it was. If it had gone any other way, it would have just been another cheesy, predictable Hollywood romance.

But as it stands... we were given a truly realistic, magnificent love story.
