Logest vs. Yasmin: Which one is better? in Women's Health ·
So, here’s the situation. I’ve been on Logest for almost two years now, and when I realized today that I needed to pick up a new pack, I just... couldn't do it. I honestly didn't care that much at first, but looking back, it took me about three months just to get used to taking the pills. There were tears, there was plenty of whining... but lately, things have taken a turn for the worse. I feel incredibly irritable, constantly bloated, and my libido has basically hit absolute zero. On top of that, my legs have been aching constantly. So, I’ve decided to take a break from them and head to the doctor to get some bloodwork done and discuss other options. It wasn't quite this bad before, but I used to just blame everything on my posture, being in college, and general stress... whereas now, I can clearly see that I'm just feeling completely wiped out. I'm done with it. And oh... my breast size went up two cups, and I've probably gained maybe 2 or 3 pounds, though that isn't a huge deal considering I eat like an elephant... 😁

Things have gotten a bit fuzzy 😢
It’s not huge, but there's definitely a difference (or at least, I see it).
The first time I noticed things getting a little thicker was during a three-month break after being on Logest for half a year. That was back in September, and my stomach area got fuzzier, my bikini line covers a slightly larger area, and I have more fine hair on my face. It’s stayed like that until now.
Today I went to put on a bra and realized my breasts are actually covered in light fuzz, about half a centimeter long.
Should I be worried? I'm a little scared that in six months I'll turn into a mild orangutan, or that once I stop taking these pills for a year, I'll turn into a full-blown orangutan.😢

That’s strange... I’ve been on Loestrin for over a year now, and my hair grows much slower. In fact, I actually have significantly less hair, especially on my legs.

On the other hand, those Diane pills worked perfectly for me—zero complaints whatsoever

It seems like that Logesta stuff works for everyone... at least, that’s what they say. For me and two of my girlfriends, we felt the difference within the first couple of months—it was such a headache trying to figure out if it was actually doing anything. But after that, all five of us saw results. Looking back at the thread above, I noticed someone mentioned things slowed down after using Logesta... though, if I’m being honest, my own hair growth has always been a bit on the slower side... 😍 I’m running on fumes here... my legs are practically giving out... 😍 🙏 I've been taking Logest for quite some time now... 😉

I don't have them with me today—though, honestly, they tend to settle my nerves much better than a bar of pure chocolate ever could.
Honestly, you have to wonder—there just seems to be way too much chemical stuff in everything these days. It’s everywhere, really—from the food we pick up at the local grocery store to the stuff we use just to clean our houses—and it honestly feels like we're constantly being bombarded by it. I mean, don't get me wrong, science is great and all, but there's a point where it feels a bit excessive, isn't there? Just feels like we're living in a giant lab experiment sometimes. 🙂

So, tomorrow’s the big day—I'm finally pulling the trigger on a Logest. Honestly, I've been eyeing it for a while now—just one of those things that sits in the back of your mind, you know?—and it feels like the right time to just go for it. It's funny how these decisions work out; you spend weeks weighing the pros and cons, overthinking every little detail, and then suddenly, you're just ready to make the move. Fingers crossed everything goes smoothly!
Tomorrow... well, tomorrow marks my very last day of drinking. It’s happening. Finally.
So, what’s the move here—do I just power through and dive straight into the logistics, or should I take a breather first?!

It seems logical to me to take a break... but really... you should ask your primary care physician what they think...

I was on Diane-35 for a few years, and my chest is a solid C—Diane didn't change my size at all. Now, I'm staring at this Logest prescription and I'm genuinely nervous. I'm worried the weight gain or the breast enlargement will hit me hard, and while I don't have a huge tummy, my hips are naturally wider... I've got curves already, so I don't need extra volume. Honestly, the idea of taking Logest scares me. But, logically speaking, if I didn't have issues with Diane, shouldn't I be fine with this one too? Is that how it works?

Well, look, I'm 19 and still developing, mostly because I was a late bloomer in everything—from getting my period (around age 16) to my physical growth, haha. But two of my close friends didn't see any changes at all, neither in weight nor in their bust size... I suppose it just comes down to how your individual body reacts to things. Plus, I have a bit of a sweet tooth, which might be why I gained those extra five or six pounds while on the pills. Usually, I can manage my weight perfectly fine, but once I start them, I find it impossible to stop eating for a week. Overall, I think the medication works great for me, though I do get a little more irritable than usual... luckily, my boyfriend is used to it and understands me...

So, here’s my take on things to get me in on the conversation...
I’ve been on Loest since about a year and three months ago... during those first two months, I was crying constantly, and the headaches were just brutal—the same thing happened to two of my girlfriends who also started Loest... My chest actually grew from a size B to a massive D; people were even making snide comments, joking that I’d gone under the knife, haha. I also put on about five or six pounds around my hips and stomach, but honestly, I don't mind it; I think it looks lovely when a woman has some curves... I read somewhere that Loest completely kills your libido, but I haven't had any issues there; if anything, it feels heightened, like I can never quite get enough 🙂 I did have some frightening sharp pains around my heart and in my legs, though it turns out it wasn't the birth control. It was actually a potassium deficiency, which was causing spasms in my heart muscle... apparently, potassium and magnesium are absolute lifesavers 🙂 The only thing I’ve truly noticed is that I’ve become much more irritable and high-strung since starting Loest, so... that’s all from me... I’m curious if any of you taking Loest
have dealt with similar stuff...
