Neck lymph node biopsy in Health ·
Jesse Sullivan2 said:I went through that when I was about six or seven years old. I can't remember the exact details anymore, but the pain eventually fades. Honestly, I don't even think it felt like sharp pain... more just a dull sensation.
it’s probably already over for you 🙂

Joe Biden, it's in the past now...

But man, it hurt me so much. It was such an uncomfortable feeling... and pretty painful too. Mostly, I'm just glad it's finally over. I honestly thought I was going to pass out from being so scared.

Neck lymph node biopsy in Health ·
So, I went searching through various forums to see if anyone had started a thread about this, but I couldn't find anything quite like it.

Anyway, I had a lymph node biopsy on my neck today. They had to go in several times, and honestly, it was pretty painful while they were doing it.

Right now, the pain is just brutal... I can barely even turn my head.

I'm wondering if anyone here has gone through something similar? How long did it take for the soreness to finally die down... and is this level of pain actually normal?
Bad habits and how to break them... in Women's Health ·
I don't really do tampons... I didn't even bother with them back when my flow was absolutely intense 😁 just pads. These days it's a bit lighter, so pads work fine for me... though, sure, on the second or third day it can get a little heavy, and then I just can't help myself—I'll throw on the tightest pair of underwear I own just to make sure everything stays in place.

But my real habit is washing "down there" way too many times a day, and honestly, I tend to overdo it quite often. Especially if I'm home for a while. I don't know, I guess it might have something to do with my headspace...
So, I was just sitting here thinking about it, and I figured I’d reach out to see if anyone else has gone through something similar...

And yeah... I’ve actually been taking them for four years straight without even a break... Does anyone have any insight on what long-term use looks like? I’m starting to feel a little bit of panic setting in because of how long I've been at this...
Andrew Lopez2 said:I have a question for all the women out there using birth control... how much has your period changed or decreased since you started taking the pill?
Right now, I’m honestly spiraling a bit—I’ve never actually taken any hormonal contraceptives before. After I gave birth, my cycle came back almost immediately, so my doctor prescribed Yaz because they said it wouldn't mess with my milk supply (and honestly, it hasn't—everything was totally fine while I was breastfeeding). But, during those few months of nursing, I was dealing with these weird, random bleeding episodes both mid-cycle and at the end. Once I stopped breastfeeding, as my supply dried up, that spotting stopped, and for the last two months, I've been bleeding regularly starting on day 28, but... this "period" only lasts three days total. And the volume? It's such that everything would literally fit onto one large maxi pad (sorry if that's too much detail!!). Before I got pregnant, my periods were moderately heavy and lasted quite a while...

What’s really making me panic is the possibility of getting pregnant again—which is the absolute last thing I want right now. I am so incredibly eager to get back to work and move past this whole maternity leave phase (I just can't stay stuck at home anymore😉). Lately, my breasts have also felt sort of swollen/tender, even though they haven't really reacted to anything in a long time since I finished nursing...

What have your experiences been like?

Hey there... honestly, there's no such thing as absorption... as long as you're being consistent with your pills... and if you make sure your partner doesn't finish inside during your fertile window... (I'm a total worrier myself, so I always speak up when my fertile days are coming or if I think they might be 😉 ).

It’s totally possible that you're just feeling that same wave of panic and fear about an unplanned pregnancy, which is probably why you're doubting things. Just wait for your period to show up, and then make a solemn promise to yourself that you and your partner will be extra careful moving forward (that's what I do 😂 ) and then consider the matter closed.
Hey, quick question for you.

I’ve been on Yasmin for quite a while now—I did some research and they seem to work perfectly for me. I actually thought about switching over to Gin, just because I wanted to try something with even lower hormone levels, but my doctor basically told me there was no real reason to change since everything is running smoothly... so I decided to stick with the Yasmin... but anyway, that's not really what I'm asking about right now!

What I really want to know is, when it comes to weight loss supplements and birth control, is there any actual chance that those diet pills could mess with how well the pill works as contraception?...
Dealing with hemorrhoids in Health ·
I'm not sure if anyone else has mentioned this yet... but wow... that HEMO EX oil from Aromare... it is absolutely fantastic for hemorrhoid relief and just general care down there. Honestly, it worked wonders for me, especially since it's all-natural. No side effects at all. And it actually smells nice too (not that that matters much, right? :P ) ...it's just a really solid product. That oil...

Gary Reyes said:I haven't actually seen the movie myself, but Google shows this:

"Can somebody write to me the poems that are told on this movie firstly by Charlotte and then by Will when she is in the hospital bed?"

the answer:

"The first one (what Charlotte quotes) is called Midnight by Dorothy Parker.

The stars are soft as flowers, and as near;
The hills are webs of shadow, slowly spun;
No separate leaf or single blade is here
All blend to one.

The second one (what Will quotes) was written by Edna St. Vincent Millay.

Time cannot break the birds’ wing from the bird
bird and wing together , go down One feather no thing that ever flew not The Lark

No thing that ever flew
Not the lark, not you
Can die as others do

It's a very touching movie, especially with these types of poems. That's probably why i watched in only once, and now again. You know what I mean!"

Like I said—I haven't seen the film, so I have no clue if these are the actual scenes or not. If I got it wrong, please, some moderator just delete this...🙂

Jeeeee, oh my gosh... thank you so much... seriously, you've made my day... I can't even tell if you're a guy or a girl from your profile, but wow!

I really hope I haven't missed the mark here and there isn't already an open thread for "Autumn in New York" because I just can't seem to find it... 😠 and if there is, I'm asking the moderators to please go easy on me 😕 since I'm clearly terrible at searching for things...

SO, regarding "Autumn in New York"... if anyone recognizes the poetry that Richard Winoni whispered into her ear right before her surgery at the end of the movie... for the love of God, could you please tell me the author and even just the title? Then I can go on my own hunt... I REALLY NEED THAT POETRY... I want the whole thing... hm... I'm hoping it's actually real... and not just something made up by a character in the film 😛

Anyway ☕

Moderators... if I messed up 😍 I love you guys, please don't yell at me
Migraine relief help? in Health ·
steelscout6 said:It all started about a week ago with some mild dizziness and this sensation of stumbling while walking. Then, just yesterday, things took a turn for the worse—I started seeing flashing lights in front of my left eye, and now it’s spreading to both. On top of that, I’m dealing with intense pain on the right side of my head, accompanied by vomiting and total weakness. Is this a migraine? Honestly, I feel completely neurologically shattered. I’ve already gone through the ringer with an MRI, an EEG, blood work, everything. I even saw a neurologist, but what did they tell me? "It might be something, or it might not be." That’s it? Just a vague shrug? So, what am I supposed to do now?

Hmm... you're describing symptoms of a severe migraine, but honestly, the safest bet is to go get a second opinion. Unfortunately, doctors can miss things sometimes...

I deal with horrible migraines myself. It's that same unbelievable pain on the right side of the head. Every single time, I end up vomiting and feeling incredibly weak. The pain makes the area around my eye go numb, and then it travels down to the back of my neck...

At first, I was really worried, but after getting all the tests done, they found out I have genetically narrowed blood vessels on the right side of my head along with chronic migraines...

Without a few specific medications, there is no relief... I can't sleep, I can't even sit still... I'd much rather just float away...
