I’ve been thinking a lot lately about the "superteam" mentality and whether it actually kills the soul of a franchise. There’s always that moment when a star player realizes they can either stay and build something meaningful from the ground up, or pack their bags to join a collection of legends and just hope the math works out.

Personally, I find it hard to respect the "sacrifice" narrative when it looks like a player is just jumping ship because they couldn't get their way with a specific trade. It feels less like building a dynasty and more like a temporary alliance of convenience. I remember watching old-school legends grind for years just to get one shot, and seeing players move around like chess pieces every few seasons makes the whole concept of "loyalty" feel like a joke.

Do you think a player's legacy is actually improved by joining a powerhouse, or do they just become a footnote in someone else's career?
Dealing with hemorrhoids – any advice? in Health ·
I have a question... honestly, I feel a bit embarrassed even bringing this up, but could hemorrhoids be a side effect of birth control pills? And if so, what should I actually do about it??

Here’s the situation: over the last two or three years, I’ve occasionally dealt with some stinging or itching after a bowel movement. It wasn't a constant thing—maybe once every few months—so I didn't pay much attention to it. I figured it might just be hemorrhoids, but I didn't think much more of it. However, lately, I've noticed it tends to flare up right before and after my period, and then things settle down for a bit. But following a short break from my medication, I started a new cycle of pills a few days ago, and ever since my period arrived, I’ve been feeling nauseous. I suppose it’s just the chemicals at work, though I couldn't say for sure... the first couple of days were fine, but the last three days have been an absolute disaster. On top of that, my stools have been really hard lately because I’ve been eating way too many sweets. It’s just the nature of my job—I'm constantly being handed chocolates and it’s incredibly hard to resist.

It wouldn't be such a massive issue if it weren't for the discomfort; I don't experience the intense pain or stinging I used to, just a nagging unpleasantness. But I honestly feel like I’m going to pass out whenever I have to use the restroom because I know how hard the stool will be, and I can feel this specific stinging sensation on one side. When I wipe, there's blood.😲😲
Seeing blood is what really sends me into a panic. In the past, it felt like there was a sharp, cutting sensation, almost like I could feel something under my skin, but lately, it feels more like that one spot is just cracking and bleeding because of the constipation. Are these definitely hemorrhoids, or is it just the hard stools causing all of this? Could the pills be playing a role here too??

I haven't tried any treatments yet; I just really need some solid advice. If nothing else, I just want to know how to soften my stool and stop this bleeding during bowel movements. I’ve already cut out spicy foods, and I eat plenty while I'm at work, even though I do spend a lot of time sitting down. I’ve also been cycling quite a bit lately. I honestly have no idea what's going on; I'm just panicking... I'm so embarrassed to go to the doctor, but I guess I’ll have to if this doesn't settle down over the weekend.😢

🙂

Help, I really need some advice 🙂

I’ve been on the pill for quite a while now, and I’m usually incredibly consistent about it... but today, I completely blanked. I was supposed to start my next three-month supply tonight, but I realized I actually forgot to pick up the new pack. To give you the full timeline: I took my last pill last Wednesday, had my period in between, and I was meant to begin this new cycle today (Thursday), but since I don't have the pills on hand, I'm stuck. Would it be a significant issue if I just started tomorrow instead, essentially skipping one day? I guess I'm mostly worried about whether this gap will affect how effective the birth control actually is.
I honestly still can't believe I managed to let this slip through the cracks. 🙂

p.s. I take Diane, and I typically buy the three-month packs.
