An absolutely top-tier comedy
Strict rating, huh? in Movies ·
I mean, I get that, lol. But seriously, if we’re talking about ten-year-olds, and these adults are acting like total psychos over it... it just doesn't make sense. XD To them, it's basically the secrets of the universe or something.
Strict rating, huh? in Movies ·
Melissa Thompson45 said:I see there's an R-rated film playing at AMC Theatres, which outside our borders means it's strictly for adults. Here, it’s just slapped with a 'comedy' label, no rating, no restrictions whatsoever. Are we actually living in a total jungle?

Oh, please, this is all nonsense. Unless it's pure pornography, you don't need to bar kids from seeing everything. If it's violent? So what, they need to get used to it eventually... And let's stop blaming movies for violence when the people committing it have some sort of inherited mental deficiency or are just born psychopaths; the film isn't the culprit here -_- I suppose they should probably set a 14+ limit since kids can distinguish reality from fantasy by then, right? They should be able to judge if something is normal or not. Age ratings are basically useless.

My older brother used to drag me to horror movies constantly starting when I was 14, and I turned out fine; now, those kinds of films just look ridiculous to me 😁 Though, I will admit, there are a handful of truly twisted movies that nobody should ever watch, but whatever 😁
Have you ever lied about seeing a movie? in Movies ·
I mean, what can you do? It's just one of those things you have to deal with. XD
Stargate Extinction in Movies ·
Stargate: Extinction [1], which was originally referred to during production as Project Twilight, serves as the working title for the debut feature film based on the Stargate Atlantis franchise. This project picks up right where the fifth season left off. Extinction will air on Syfy, and will be followed by more adventures from the lost city of the ancients -- if the first is a success.

The film will play into the established mythology of Stargate Atlantis, but the story won't have the burden of tying up loose story threads from the television series. It functions more like Continuum than Ark of Truth in that it will continue the story of Atlantis in a one-off offering. Even though this adventure stands alone, the emotional beats and character development will definitely lean on previous history and future possibilities. While there is certainly potential for crossovers by SG-1 actors, executive producer Joseph Mallozzi is hoping to keep the two movie franchises feeling unique and separate.

According to Joseph Mallozzi, "It's not so much an arc driven movie as an adventure that incorporates a lot of the back story elements that we've presented up to this point including the city itself, our characters, and some recurring characters. The movie will be better than season five." Scott Campbell61 is going to be in the movie. [2]
Background

* Amanda Tapping confirmed that she agreed to appear in the Atlantis movie.
* The Wormhole drive is confirmed to be used in this movie.
* According to Joseph Mallozzi, "Weir's story ended in Ghost in the Machine. The character will not be appearing in the movie." [3]

Production

* Joseph Mallozzi stated: "I can't predict whether an ongoing series of Atlantis-based movies will prove successful." "However, if the performance of the two SG-1 movies is anything to go by, the audience is out there."
* Joseph Mallozzi stated: "While I like the idea of some crossover, I think SG-1 movies should be SG-1 movies and Atlantis movies Atlantis movies," he said. "Two movies of each a year would be a true best case scenario."
* Joseph Mallozzi stated: "The number of Stargate movies produced each year will depend in part on scheduling." "I think that we could produce as many as three Stargate (either SG-1 or Atlantis) movies a year," he said. "Four is a long-shot, but very possible."
* Joseph Mallozzi confirmed on the June 13th 2010 blog entry that the information found on the film's IMDB page, including writers and a possible release date, is "wishful thinking".
