Just let it go. He’s playing it cool right before he meets Felipe Massa; there's no point in overdoing the hype and making things awkward. Once he finally gets back to his hotel room, you'll see him celebrating properly.

I suppose we’re about to see a massive wave of trolling now that Massa is busy congratulating the winner.

Honestly, this whole situation is getting exhausting, but now you guys are really going overboard with the criticism of Fernando Alonso. You all had plenty to say when Webber failed to hold his line, and nobody was making these kinds of comments about the fuel shortage issues over at McLaren. They did exactly what they needed to do. To be fair, I actually expected Alonso to squeeze him hard enough that Massa would either take the full racing line or brake too late, allowing Alonso to pull off a masterclass move. But it doesn't even matter—we all know exactly how the game is played.

Did Massu just completely misjudge his exit speed coming out of that corner? :-D

If anyone happens to know a reliable site for streaming the practice sessions live, I’d really appreciate it if you could drop a link. 🙏

EDIT-sad I just realized it's available on ESPN+, so if that stream ends up being glitchy, I guess I'll have to hunt down some credentials from my Xfinity account.

If you look at the bigger picture, Vettel is actually the biggest winner here. It’s incredibly hard to imagine how a genuine championship fight with Hamilton would have unfolded if that DT penalty hadn't been served.

If we’re looking at this realistically, Vettel’s main battle would have likely been against Alonso rather than Hamilton. That said, I find it highly improbable that we would have seen any actual overtaking between those three on a track like this, especially given how similar their strategies were. You seem to be overlooking the fact that Alonso was right on Hamilton's heels—and let's not forget Hamilton had to pit for a nose change. With current pit stops averaging around four seconds, even after a spoiler adjustment, he would have emerged just behind Alonso. It wasn't just Vettel who came out on top here; Hamilton benefited significantly too. To put it bluntly, the guy just got incredibly lucky this time around.

If Hamilton had been in his seat instead, we at least would have seen a "racing incident."😁

1. Button needed to prevent Schumacher from overtaking him; the same logic applies to Vettel.
2. In both pit exit scenarios, whether it was Lewis, Michael, or Fernando in that exact spot, they wouldn't have let anyone pass them—even if it meant crashing out.
3. It’s highly unlikely Hamilton could have overtaken Schumacher in Button's position either; Michael knows how to defend, and given the nature of this track, it's tough.

Bottom line: Vettel had a poor race; there was no need for him to be lunging at Hamilton. Then there was that reckless driving without brakes—total stupidity. He got lucky in the end, but he was chasing ghosts when nobody was actually threatening his position.
Hamilton was top-tier, just lacked any bit of luck.
As for Alonso, he didn't really make an impact, but if you look at Massa, he deserves credit for holding his own despite having a car that's currently inferior to the McLaren.
Webber looks solid when he's running in clear air, and the car is clearly closing the gap to the rest of the field.

Jack was essentially acting like a forklift, which means he slammed right into the front mechanic who was lifting the car. You couldn't even see it clearly because there was no footage of it.

Here is what Jergović is saying, and honestly, he hits the nail on the head
I assume when people put Webber in parentheses, they’re only referring to his relationship with his teammate; compared to the rest of the grid, he’s definitely no saint.

While I drop by here frequently to stay updated on the important news, I don't usually bother posting. However, this constant bashing of Alonso from certain users on this forum is nothing short of pure idiocy.
Take TBF1, for instance, who would invent entirely new regulations just to target Alonso—even though there’s already a specific penalty for jump starts that has always been applied consistently. But the moment Alonso does it, suddenly he should be disqualified for this race and probably five more because apparently, it's "cheating" or whatever nonsense they're claiming now.
rustystag7 said:If I were in his shoes, I would have held my line just to see how beautiful it would have been if they both slammed into the wall at the pit entry.

Did you even watch the race? Mass was on the outside; if he had held his line, he would have gone straight through without any collision occurring. Alonso positioned himself perfectly while Mass was late to react. Sure, we can debate whether you should play games with a teammate, but the move itself was brilliant.
A few races back, Alonso was catching Mass quite rapidly, and when Alonso made his move, Mass shut the door at the risk of a collision. Up until then, everyone else had passed him using that exact same legitimate maneuver, yet people still argued you shouldn't do that to a teammate who is clearly faster, especially halfway through a race. But back then, you all hailed Mass's move as genius.
In short, Hamilton plays dumb during the press conference, acting like he has no idea what happened in the pits. Vettel cries about someone trying to puncture his tires even though he was the one intentionally shoving them toward the mechanics. Schumi sent Mass and Hamilton straight into the grass, and Webber sues Hamilton for simple overtaking, all while performing some of the most dangerous maneuvers on the track itself. My point is that most of these drivers are nothing but crybabies (with the exception of Kubica and Kimi), but at least Hamilton and Alonso actually try, and for that, I give them a massive 🙏.

Has anyone actually inquired about getting their money back? I ended up buying two bottles—they’re both already open, though they're nearly full. That’s $57, and on top of that, $17 I had to shell out for a new case for my lens cleaning device, which isn't exactly a cost I'm willing to just swallow. Shouldn't they be issuing refunds alongside the product recall?
