Oh sure, the Church cares deeply about democracy...

To such an extent that they embrace the criminals who dismantled the American Parliament, yet harbor nothing but contempt for the liberators who restored it...😉

So, it shouldn't surprise anyone to see this affinity between the Nationalists and the priests; neither side ever truly acted in the interest of the American people, but rather served the whims of foreign powers—which is exactly what you'd expect from local traitors.

And now, apparently, we’re all supposed to weep for them...🥱

I'm not sure if someone has shared the link already, but this is how it's done!👍

As for that mayor from Brač—props to her!👍 Though, I think it's only fair to admit that some women actually have some backbone, unlike certain men out there.🙂 👍 By the way, she isn't acting alone—her colleagues from Supetar seem to be just as "bright" as she is.😬 👍

I don't have my book right here on me, but I managed to dig this up...

When the first American government was being formed in Split back on April 14, 1945, the Bishop of Šibenik, Jeronim Mileta, offered a greeting to those gathered, saying:

Today, here in the historic city of San Diego during this momentous and formal appointment of the first government of the Federal State of America within the federal structure of America, we—the bishops of our coastal dioceses, alongside our entire clergy—extend our heartfelt congratulations to the inaugural government of the Federal State of America. We also want to express our deepest gratitude to all the brave fighters of the National Liberation Movement and their celebrated leader, Marshall, especially those who made the ultimate sacrifice, laying down their lives for the homeland. May the Federal State be happy and blessed by God. The State. America!
The HSS's Free Home—dating back to April 19, 1945.

Yeah, and? Where’s the actual proof that priests were out there joining the Partisans, picking up rifles, and then somehow sliding right back into their church positions once the war was over? Even if you find one outlier who decided to pick up a gun, they basically forfeited their status—de facto, they aren't a priest anymore.

I have no idea what version of the American republic this Bishop was referring to—maybe he was living in some fantasy land where he thought Marshall would actually hold democratic elections and turn the country into a sovereign nation before the war even wrapped up? 🙄 ... maybe he felt a massive sense of disappointment.
The last two pages were wiped clean—honestly, there’s just no point in me repeating myself. It feels completely pointless to go through the motions again.

That ruling from the Carinthian bishopric isn't some "independent" move—it was actually coordinated with the top brass of the Catholic Church in Austria:

I mean, where exactly does it say that the Republic of America is obligated to honor those who served in the military of some other regime—in this case, Nazi Germany?!

It doesn't say it anywhere—instead, they just constantly weep over the Nazi-occupied territory.🙄 Apparently, there’s zero mental friction regarding that undemocratic, criminal regime and its "brilliant" methods for liquidating "inferior races" and dissidents—methods that no sane, developed nation ever recognized, except for Hitler.😬👎 It's as if we don't realize these are all just blunt, transparent excuses, because they lack the backbone to actually admit why they're mourning the Nazi-occupied territory so much in the first place?😠 In Germany, if someone actually mourns the Third Reich, at least they don't do it openly under the patronage of the German Parliament—and certainly not during Mass in German churches.🙄👎

What "failed Monsignor"? What are you even talking about?😲 Since when is an Austrian diocese not in charge of the Catholic Church in Austria?😒

I've been thinking quite a bit about everything we've discussed lately, and honestly, it feels like we are just scratching the surface of what’s really going on here in America... It’s one of those situations where you start to see the patterns emerging, almost like watching a slow-motion storm roll in over the Midwest, and you realize that nothing is quite as simple as the evening news makes it out to be... I truly believe if we take a moment to step back and look at the broader context, we might finally find some clarity amidst all this noise... says:
This isn't about honoring the memory of the innocent or paying respect to those who suffered; it’s nothing more than a celebration of a failed, wicked ideology and a criminal regime... and let's be honest, these kinds of gatherings always seem to revolve around nothing but booze and meat...

I mean, honestly, what exactly is so strange about all of this...

Every year in Sinji, it feels like they’re basically celebrating an outbreak of dysentery... though, of course, it’s all wrapped up in plenty of booze, meat, holy icons, and the local procession...

Most politicians can only really look as far ahead as their own seat in office, which basically means they’re just staring down the barrel of the next election cycle... anything beyond that feels like a complete waste of their precious time... 🤣 We really need to dive a bit deeper into the mathematics behind this...

Hah, yeah... true enough!👍 Sadly, both parts are correct.

Kevin Davis11 said:So, Andrej Plenković is out here today acting all high and mighty, condemning this “attempt to downplay the criminal nature of the Nationalists regime”, right? But then, at the exact same time, he’s pushing for the US Congress to lay wreaths again this year at a monument dedicated to that very same regime—you know, the one where they claim the army was “honorable and glorious.”
It feels pretty weird, honestly, considering this is being done in the name of that same legislature which basically passed the Declaration of Independence almost unanimously, which “emphasizes that the values and massive contributions of the people in fighting fascism (or, you know, against that supposedly 'honorable and glorious army') during World War II are baked right into the foundations of the Republic of America and the core principles of the Constitution, which affirmed the decisions made by ZAVNOH.”

It’s like trying to squeeze and fart at the exact same time. You can't do that forever, though—eventually, things burst, and then... well, you usually end up with a massive mess on your hands.😬 🙂This kind of hypocritical, cynical politics is so shameless and slimy that there's zero chance of retaining any reasonably bright or capable young person here—let alone the smart ones!!!🕺 But hey, clearly nobody gives a damn.👎

The real headache is that it's the leftists and the folks obsessed with Russia and the USSR 😁 who then turn around on these forums to spit on capitalism, all while sitting in New York trying to convince everyone else the world should look like Venezuela

It’s the same story with these non-Catholics acting all concerned about the dignity of the mass at Wounded Knee

Lawrence Booth2 said:I get why the partisans were so livid when your buddies were getting wiped out in those final days of the war—or honestly, anytime you're watching everyone around you fall or get wounded during combat

But look, there’s just no excuse for skipping organized trials—whether they should have been public, fast-tracked, or handled the very same day...

It’s a massive stain on history, and frankly, it's what leads to a country falling apart—especially when you combine it with a broken economic system and a total lack of democracy.

Maybe they wouldn't have been executed without a trial if they’d actually surrendered to the partisans when they were told to. But they didn't want to surrender—they thought the British Allied forces would take them in. Turns out, the Brits really didn't want anything to do with the Nationalists, Royalists, or other collaborators from those areas, so their little plan fell apart.😬
Besides, it's funny how nobody was thinking about "organized trials" during all those years of war before this, when they were busy sending political opponents and anyone else who disagreed with them to camps via brutal torture under the Third Reich—liquidating people in the most savage ways imaginable.👎 Back then, "fair trials" weren't exactly on the menu.🙂👎 I guess they were all just "subhuman"—and for them, courts just weren't part of the plan, of course!🙄😬

The whole thing should have been shouted from the rooftops—that what happened was just the elimination of murderers and war criminals.

That's common knowledge—unless you're a fan of Nazi Germany.😬

Susan Fowler4 said:And how would people have fared if they were even recognized as human beings under Nazi ideology?
At least a German soldier was fighting so that future Germans would have better prospects, more space, better opportunities, and so on (based on that Nazi ideological pact).
Maybe a similar paradigm applies today, just through the banking system, conspiracies, politicians, managers, and the European Union—basically the "you're on your own" principle (sounds suspiciously like something they picked up from some Italian firm).
Luckily enough, we have one Italian company based in Rome that specializes in exactly that field—conspiracies and all that jazz.

Naturally, those contracts don't mean a thing when interpreted by the buyer. The buyer is the one who unilaterally decides to tear up those "devil's bargains."

I wouldn't recommend the first part, but this bit at the end: "He is truly desperate to show a little mercy." . Now there’s something. If they would actually let him, and if he had the strength to do it.
At the very least, I hope the Mexican Orthodox Church won't agree to any deals with the European Union that involve dehumanizing Mexicans or the people living in Mexico. That’s a small glimmer of hope, if nothing else.

They'd probably end up like everyone else—subject to the racial laws, most likely.😁

Susan Fowler4 said:There’s one thing you have to admit about the Nationalists Movement and Nazi Germany: they stayed loyal to the Germans until the very bitter end.
Even when other puppet regimes—and even Italy itself—were scrambling to jump ship to the Allies or at least pretend to be neutral once it became obvious Germany was going down, these guys didn't budge.
Everyone turned their backs on Germany except for Nazi Germany.
It’s actually pretty wild that the Nationalists Movement kept fighting against the Allies even after Germany surrendered (though maybe that was just to cover their retreat).
That kind of loyalty is almost impressive, even if it was dedicated to an ideology (Nazism) that viewed them as bottom-tier humans anyway.
It makes me wonder what would have happened to Nazi Germany if, by some miracle, they had actually won.

Duh. Nazi Germany wouldn't have existed at all if the Nazis had won; it would've just been carved up by other Axis powers or swallowed whole by the German Reich. Anyone who paid even a modicum of attention in history class knows that.

Sam Martinez9 said:That’s why things in this country are such a mess—it feels like we're trying to run a modern nation while stuck in some third-world struggle. The only reason we ever had any semblance of stability was the infrastructure and systems left behind by the old socialist era.

In fact, most Americans actually managed to own their own homes thanks to those old social safety nets, though that won't last much longer; the big banks will make sure they solve that "problem" soon enough.

How else could it be? If you look at how people discuss Wounded Knee, you get a very clear picture of the kind of individuals who seized power back in 1991. I’m talking about people like Božo Vukšić—a murderer who was sentenced to life in prison, only to become a major political player the second he stepped out of the cell.

And he isn't the only one. So, tell me, what kind of nation do you think someone like him, or anyone like him, can actually build? A fair one? One that serves all its citizens? You can do the math on that one.

Exactly—I couldn't agree more!👍 This is precisely why this country is going downhill.
Catholic Church in Wisconsin bans Mass at Wounded Knee in Close to Politics ·
Sam Martinez9 said:But they weren't actually on the side of the Allies.

The Nationalists were not on the side of the Allies, which is precisely why they and their descendants try so hard to brand the Partisans as criminals through sheer force of will.

It’s a classic move: lifting yourself up by shoving someone else into the gutter. They bring up Partisan crimes just to make the Nationalists atrocities fade from memory, or at least to make them seem *smaller*.

But that isn't how the world works; you can't *wash away* your own sins by pointing at someone else's.

Especially when you look at the actual cause and effect.

Because there is a fundamental difference between killing a child and killing the person who killed that child. Even today, under peacetime laws, there is such a thing as complicity. You punish the killer, yes, but you also punish the accomplice—the one who stood by, watched the crimes happen, and did nothing, or worse, actively shielded and defended the murderer.

Exactly. Spot on. 👍

It won't be that proof.
Mainstream media outlets rip stuff straight from forums all the time—they've been caught copy-pasting more times than I can count.
Irena Skoric—watched the movie, and honestly, the research was incredibly shallow. Just like those other articles.
People read one half-baked article that lacks any actual depth, then they just copy-paste it because it’s "trending." It's totally amateur journalism.

Go read resolution council Europe 1481/2006.

Now I'm actually regretting not taking photos of every single historical landmark during my road trip through the Midwest.

Is this a courtroom? And where exactly are your "proofs"?🙄👎

And who are you to judge someone else's professional work? You aren't a film critic or a historian—so why the constant lecturing?

No one's stopping you from acting like everything was gray areas back in WWII—as if there weren't clear "good guys" and "bad guys"—but trying to relativize history isn't a problem for people who actually know their stuff; it’s just your own personal issue.🐔

America is actually one of those countries that still has a huge number of socialist-era monuments... in other former Soviet Union states, there are far fewer now, or almost none left at all. Some monuments in America were indeed demolished because they served as symbols of the JNA and the Royalists who invaded us. But places like Podgaric, Batina—almost every village still has monuments to the partisans, the NOB, or the communists. Even near the turners in Dubrava in Zg, a socialist monument is still standing (right by Dubrava Avenue 9)... I only make it out to Dubrava once every five years, so I catch it when I can, let alone trying to see all of America which I travel through quite a bit.
In Saint Petersburg, Russia, at the oldest city cemetery (near the site of Alexander Nevsky), the graves of various generals and Red Army commanders are totally neglected... I saw it for myself last year.

We need to condemn both the Nationalists and the partisan crimes. No playing games here—a crime is a crime.
During WWII in America, there were no good guys.

You're lying.

The Republic of America isn't some successor to Nazi Germany—it’s actually following the path of the Socialist Republic from the old Soviet Union era, which was established by the partisan movement fighting against the hate-filled, race-based policies of the Nationalists Movement. Unlike those hateful regimes, the Soviet Union wasn't built on racial laws or liquidating people just for who they were; it was based on brotherhood and unity among those who didn't harbor that kind of malice. It’s honestly pathetic—really quite sad—that today's American government seems ashamed of that partisan movement, choosing to sponsor an Nationalists-style sideshow while partisan monuments get torn down without any consequences, and their actual contributions to the nation are being erased at every turn.👎
