Nicholas Myers says a huge thank you for the explanation 👍, since we’re actually talking about my sister’s pregnancy here—she’s heading to her OB-GYN appointment for a checkup today.

I’m looking for some insight here. I'm 23 years old and currently 27 weeks pregnant.

Could someone please give me a quick rundown of what these results mean? I’ll just list the ones marked with an asterisk
AST - 13 (ref interval 14-37)
Urinalysis
PH 5.0 (ref. interval 5.0-8.0)
Proteins - negative (ref.interval 0.25)
Urine sediment
Leukocytes - 1-2 (ref.interval 0-5)
Epithelial cells 1-2 (ref. interval 0-5)
Lots of calcium oxalate crystals present
(Just as a bit of background, a few months ago I had my physical at a clinic in downtown Chicago, and they found a lot of rod-shaped bacteria in my urine. They suggested I get a urine culture done—since they don't handle those specific tests there, they told me I should head to my local family doctor instead—but I never actually followed through with it. So now, I'm sitting here wondering if it's actually necessary for me to go get that culture done now.)

Dealing with bad cramps?

My period was about two weeks late this month, and honestly, for every single day it drags on, the pain intensifies by another hundred percent—I feel like I’m actually dying. I’ve already tried taking some Aleve, magnesium, and Valerian, but if that doesn't cut it, I've got Naproxen standing by 😢 just in case things get worse.
A friend of mine swears by Advil, which she orders straight from the States, and says it works wonders.

Ovaries: Cysts and related issues [General Discussion]

Michael Hernandez50 said:Hi everyone,
I happened to catch a few posts earlier where several women were asking about herbal teas that might offer some relief... well, my sister and I have actually been relying on evening primrose oil capsules for several years now. My sister dealt with a massive ovarian cyst—she carried it around for months, even ending up in the ER because they kept telling her she just had gas, until a gynecologist finally caught it on an ultrasound. I’ve dealt with them too, and since we were both quite young at the time, our mom bought us a few bottles of these supplements, and they completely cleared things up for us. We were dealing with those specific types of cysts that turn brown and just drain when they rupture (I can't recall the medical term, so please excuse me!). My sister took only two or three of those capsules, and the cyst ruptured and drained almost immediately.
Our mom also uses them to shrink or at least keep her liver and breast cysts under control.
Now, I’m not saying this is some kind of miracle cure, and it certainly won't work for every single woman out there, but I wanted to share my own experience since it has worked wonders for me—and even for some of my friends who struggled with ovarian issues. On top of that, evening primrose is fantastic for PMS symptoms; it really helps prevent that bloating, tender breasts, and general irritability.
Does anyone have specific brands or types of capsules? I want to go grab some right away! 🙂
