So, I was actually over at Best Buy this morning and they told me they didn't have this in stock. But now I see they do! Maybe that'll help things out—fingers crossed.

Could you maybe recommend something, even just for Photoshop, so we don't drift too far off-topic here? Honestly, the one I'm using right now—my LG Flatron W2241S—is actually doing alright for me. If I do end up grabbing a new one, the main thing is that it absolutely has to have the right connector for my graphics card... because I've had a nightmare trying to track down an adapter or a cable that actually works for this setup.

Hey everyone, I could really use some help if anyone knows the deal here.
So, I just picked up a new PC equipped with a Radeon R9 390. The snag is—I can't actually get my monitor to connect to it! It’s an LG model, maybe 5 or 6 years old, and it uses a VGA cable, but the card only has digital inputs (that 24+1 pin setup, I think?). At least, that's how it was explained to me. Everything would be totally fine if there were just a simple adapter available, but I can't seem to find one. I remember when I bought my last graphics card last year, an adapter was tucked right in the box, but this one didn't come with anything.
Does anyone know a fix for this? I’d really love to avoid buying a whole new monitor if possible, because this one still works perfectly fine for me. Maybe there's a specific adapter or something similar out there that doesn't require a massive headache with cables or anything?

crimsonstag84 said:So you basically went for a more expensive version of the exact same processor just because it had a higher clock speed $267? 😬
The GPU costs way more because it's actually significantly better than a GTX 960 or an R9 380—we're talking maybe 60-70% more power.

What's your actual budget here... was it around $2000? I guess it really depends on what makes sense for the money.

Probably around $6,000, though I might stretch it to $6,300 if I have to. Honestly, I’d much rather put that extra cash toward a beefier CPU. As for the graphics card, I think I've finally settled on the XFX Radeon R9 R80 with 4GB.

So, I just finished watching both of those movies! Now, look—I’m not exactly a huge fan of this franchise, but I figured, why not give it a shot? Honestly, I was fully expecting some total garbage, but it actually turned out to be a pretty solid way to pass the time—definitely watchable! It was just something fun to zone out to while I wait for some actual heavy hitters to come out, you know? Like maybe something along the lines of Avengers 2.

!

I saw your message—some of those parts look great, so I've already added them to my build list (the power supply, motherboard, and RAM all seem solid). But man, that graphics card (the R9 390) is just way too pricey for me right now... it would totally blow my current budget out of the water.

I think there might have been a bit of a misunderstanding—it looks like you only sent a single word! If you were trying to share a specific post or comment for me to rewrite, go ahead and paste the full text. I'm ready to jump in and give it that upbeat, conversational American makeover whenever you are! kaže:
The GTX 560 is already four years old—it's practically vintage! Meanwhile, that Radeon RX 480 just hit the shelves this year. I think you might have gotten the first one mixed up, maybe? Just a thought!

Larry Ortiz5 said:Unless you’ve made a mistake, you should definitely go for the Radeon RX 480—no question there! But before you pull the trigger, I guess you should probably let us know which processor you're running and what kind of power supply you've got tucked away in there.

My bad—I totally typed the wrong number there! I actually meant the GTX 960.
So, I've got this massive 650W EVGA Silent power supply sitting here—it's a bit of a beast!
So, I was looking at this Intel Core i7-4770K—it’s an 8-core processor running at 4.0 GHz!

So, I'm currently putting together a new PC and I'm feeling pretty torn between two graphics cards: the GTX 560 or the radeon r9 380? They're actually sitting at almost the exact same price point right now—and honestly, I really don't want to go over budget and break the bank! I've always been an NVIDIA fanboy in the past, but if the Radeon might actually be the better pick, I'm totally open to switching things up. What do you guys think?

I was wondering—just to be safe—if I actually need a formal, written repayment plan when I'm dealing with debt installments that have already reached the stage of a court-ordered seizure (but haven't hit a full freeze yet)? I mean, I already worked out a monthly payment arrangement over the phone, and they told me I just need to pay a certain amount each month, with the goal of clearing the principal within six months. But, since it’s all just verbal... I guess I'm worried about whether I should have something official on paper to follow.
To make matters worse, the number they provided in the notice isn't even working, and the law firm isn't picking up their phones—they must be out on vacation or something!

Ronald Anderson45 said:I'm thinking yeah, definitely.
Basically, once the judgment is final, they hand it over to a collection agency or the sheriff's office, and you'll get a notice saying they're going after your wages.

Here's a link where you can read some pretty helpful info and maybe even post a question to get some advice.🙂

Thanks!
In the meantime, I actually spoke with their lawyers—they told me I have a six-month window to pay off the principal. They said if I just chip away at it with monthly installments based on what I can afford, they won't freeze my bank account or garnish my wages. I'm really hoping that's true, though—I mean, I honestly doubt I'll be able to clear the whole thing in just six months, but hey, maybe I can at least knock out a decent chunk of it.

John Clark6 said:Since that court ruling came down, the judgment you appealed against is officially final—meaning they can move straight to enforcement. They can start freezing bank accounts, garnishing wages, and seizing assets whenever they feel like it... there isn't really any way to stop the process now because, honestly, the execution phase is likely already underway. I suppose the real question is whether that law firm will be willing to work with you on a payment plan? Some of them tend to be a bit prickly when dealing with people who contest their claims... but, given how massive this debt is, I suspect there might not even be much left to negotiate at this stage.

Well, it's not like I was just making stuff up! The court actually ruled partially in my favor, which is a big deal because it cleared me of paying part of the debt that was totally baseless and lacked any actual documentation—which is exactly why I filed the objection in the first place.
Plus, even the attorney mentioned during the hearing that I should reach out to them about setting up an installment plan through a settlement, so hopefully that works out. (Actually, even the judge pointed out quite clearly that a settlement is definitely an option.)

Hey everyone!
So, a few days ago I finally got the court ruling back regarding my appeal against an old collection notice from AT&T dating all the way back to 2008. I filed a formal objection because, honestly, a huge chunk of what they were claiming just didn't make any sense. It turns out the judge actually agreed with me! They tossed out that part of the debt since it was baseless—apparently, AT&T couldn't even produce the paperwork to prove I owed it during the proceedings. Now, the court has ordered me to pay off the remaining balance plus the legal fees within 8 days—which totals about $2333 altogether.
The thing is, I don't exactly have that kind of cash sitting around right now... so I was wondering how to handle this if I want to try and work out a settlement with AT&T's legal team to pay it off in installments. At my last hearing, they mentioned I should reach out to them directly. Should I just send them an email?
Someone also brought up the idea that I might be able to contest the amount of the court costs I have to pay, but I'm totally lost on what grounds I would even use for that. If anyone has some advice, I’d really appreciate it!
Also, what happens if I don't pay the debt or the court costs within that 8-day window? Does the garnishment process just start automatically and they pull the money straight from my bank account?
Thanks!

Hey everyone! So, I’ve got a preliminary hearing scheduled for tomorrow regarding my objection to an enforcement order. I did a little digging online to figure out what this actually entails, but I was wondering if anyone could give me the lowdown—like, can they actually make a final ruling at this stage? Or is it more of a formality where they just gather paperwork before the main event? And how long does it usually take—maybe an hour or two?
Thanks!

First off, please just ignore my previous post—I actually managed to get an answer for that one already!
Anyway, I have a new question. I hope it’s okay to post this here since I couldn't find a specific thread for it, but it’s sort of related to the whole foreclosure/debt collection thing:
Yesterday, I received a ruling from the Pula Municipal Court stating that I need to pay a court fee of $133 regarding an objection to a foreclosure order that I filed back in July 2010. Just to clarify, the original foreclosure order was issued in August 2008, but I didn't actually receive it until July 2010.
On top of that, they're ordering me to pay a $1.50 court fee for the notice I just got yesterday.
I did a little digging online and found this: "The right to collect fees expires after two years following the end of the year in which the fee was due."
Just as a side note, when I originally filed my objection to the foreclosure order, I had no idea there was a fee required upfront—so I just sent the objection directly to the notary instead of going through the court.
So, does this mean the claim for that 2010 objection fee has actually expired? And if it has, is it even possible to file an objection against this new claim?
If it is possible, what's the actual process? Who should I send the objection to (should it go straight to the judge who issued the ruling, or just to the Municipal Court?), how many copies do I need, and would I also need to specifically request a fee waiver for this potential objection?
Thanks!

If I get a summons from the court or a ruling regarding an objection to an attachment, does that actually come from my local courthouse or from the one in the city where the attachment was filed?

So, my mom just got hit with this court order case number CV-2050 from AT&T—apparently for some debt from back when she wasn't even a customer anymore! I mean, how is that even possible? I guess there must be some kind of massive glitch in their system or something... maybe they just didn't close her account properly? It seems so wild to get a legal notice like that out of nowhere!
So, just to clear things up—about a year ago, she decided to switch over to a different carrier, specifically back in May. But get this: those old bills from AT&T kept showing up even though she wasn't even using their services anymore! When she finally looked into it, she found out that nobody had actually canceled her account settings. Apparently, she wasn't told she had to do it herself during the switch—they told her the new provider would handle everything, which—if you ask me—sounds a little fishy. Anyway, she filed a formal complaint back then to have those AT&T bills wiped out since she wasn't a customer anymore. Everything was supposed to be sorted, right? Well, until today, when she suddenly gets hit with a court order case number CV-2050. And it's for a bill from June 2012—way back when she wasn't even with them! I mean, seriously? $80 He’s looking at a bill for almost $1,000—can you believe that? ( 🙂 It’s pretty obvious they have zero intention of paying for something they don't even owe—honestly, the whole thing just feels like a desperate attempt to grab onto any excuse to collect on some totally made-up debt. I mean, I really think a court order like this should be super easy to fight, especially since we actually have all the written documentation proving the transfer happened! Has anyone here ever dealt with something similar? I'd love it if someone could share a little advice or a tip. Thanks!
Printer issues? in Computer Peripherals ·
Hey everyone! So, I've got this Canon Pixma MP250 series all-in-one, and—of course—it’s running low on ink. I did a little scouting around local shops, and the only place in San Diego that actually carries them is Links, but man, they want almost $100 just for both cartridges! Honestly, for that kind of cash, I feel like I could probably just go out and grab a brand-new printer instead. That said, I've heard whispers about these third-party replacement inks—you know, the non-original stuff that still works fine but costs way less. Does anyone know if those exist for my specific model? And if so, where should I look? I can hit up Links, Eurotrade, or Chipotle, or maybe just find something through an online retailer. Thanks a bunch!

crimsonsailor7 said:Look, you can't really appeal this yet because this isn't an official ruling—it's just their way of leaning on you to pay up... The courts will eventually deal with your objection, it's just that things move incredibly slow over here in the States...

Well, let it take its time then! Maybe I'll have enough money saved up by the time it actually happens. Thanks for the reply!

Hey everyone! I’m reaching out because I’ve run into a bit of a headache, and I was really hoping someone might have some advice on how I should handle this.
About a year and a half ago, I got hit with an enforcement notice from the law firm Hanžeković and Radaković, who are representing AT&T regarding some unpaid debt. I actually jumped on it pretty quickly—I sent over my contract and requested a payment plan. Plus, I filed a formal dispute because AT&T tacked on this massive bill that I never even received! It covered a five-month stretch from back when I wasn't even using their services anymore, and it basically doubled the entire amount they claim I owe.
Since then, I haven't heard a single word back about my dispute—nothing! All I found out was that the whole thing had been passed along to the court system.
Then, today, I find this letter in my mailbox that says: "
Subject: Enforcement Proceedings
To whom it may concern,
We are contacting you as legal representatives for our client, AT&T... regarding the enforcement proceedings initiated under the decision...,; primarily to request that you pay the full outstanding balance into AT&T's account, otherwise, they will proceed with further enforcement actions. (Sent by: Hanžeković and Radaković Law Firm)
So, I’m wondering—is this actually an answer to my dispute, or am I just going to get another enforcement notice in the mail very soon? I’m honestly torn here—should I file another appeal right away, or just wait to see if a formal decision arrives so I can submit another dispute like I did last time? I actually got a letter just like this two years ago, and not long after, a formal enforcement order showed up.
If it’s the same deal this time around, I have no clue what ever happened to my original objection.
