That’s just how I feel... I can't stand taking pictures or anything... looking at my profile... LIKE HOLY COW, LOOK AT THAT NOSE... and so on and so forth... I'll be done with this in one year max, then I'm out😉😠😢

I completely understand where you're coming from—really, I do—but I would strongly suggest you hold off on any surgery until your bone structure has fully finished forming. You're only 14; during puberty, your face undergoes massive shifts, and your nose hasn't even finished growing yet... it's far from a finished product
.
Unfortunately, I have to give you a bit of a reality check: my own nose actually grew significantly after I finished high school. Now, that doesn't necessarily mean the exact same thing will happen to you, but I want to warn you—getting surgery at 16 just doesn't make sense if you end up with a bump on a freshly operated nose later on. Just think about how foolish it would be to undergo surgery only to essentially throw your money straight down the drain 🤷. All it would have taken was waiting just one more year

I went through my first rhinoplasty—dealing with a little bump on the bridge and a wide tip. Then, I had to go back for a revision to fix that tip.
After the first one, I was clearly unhappy with the results, so I went back to the exact same surgeon to get it fixed.
And even after the second surgery—well, I was miserable. I remember coming onto this very forum to vent about how everything was wrong, how there was no difference, how much pain I was in, blah blah blah.

But I have to admit—looking back from a distance... five months out from the revision (that second surgery)—I am actually quite satisfied. I look at my photos and I can hardly believe the massive difference, especially when comparing how I looked before that first procedure.
And let's be real—my nose tip is inherently too wide, and it’s never going to look like... well, I don't know her name. We have to be realistic here. Look at someone like Cameron Diaz or Blake Lively; they have all the money and resources in the world, and even they don't have those ultra-narrow tips.

So, we need to maintain some perspective and not assume every single one of us can walk away with a tiny, narrow tip. Of course, a doctor can mess up—they can—but if they do, they can also fix it.
I just wanted to offer a little consolation. After being dissatisfied twice, I am finally happy with where I am now.

Do you have any before and after photos? I have a wide nose too, so I'm curious to see just how much it's actually possible to slim down.🙂
If you don't mind me asking, which doctor did you go to for the surgery?

stormyharbor2 said:Yeah. It’s basically my monthly routine at this point. The muscle inflammation is constant, and if I even bump into something lightly, I end up with these horrific bruises. One time, while dealing with PMS, I went out shopping—and honestly, just walking around and having my shopping bag brush against my leg was enough. A couple of days later, I realized the entire side of my leg was almost black... looked like I'd been hit by a car. 🤷

Have you managed to find any way to manage this that doesn't involve popping pills? For me, a warm or even hot bath usually does the trick—though how one is supposed to manage a full soak during those specific days of the month is quite the conundrum! 😢 I’ve been wondering if this is happening because I’ve become too sedentary lately; I don't get nearly enough leg exercise anymore, whereas I used to be significantly more active. What’s the situation on your end? Has this been a lifelong issue for you, or is it something new?

It is truly miserable—to the point where I am actually weeping from the sheer muscle pain during those days. 🤷

Does anyone else deal with intense muscle aches during those days? I mean—just like all of you—I get the standard abdominal cramping, the usual stuff—but my leg muscles get so inflamed during this time that I don't even notice the stomach pain anymore. Sometimes the ache in my legs is so debilitating that I can't even stand or walk; I just want to lie down and massage the sore spots indefinitely. This isn't something I've always dealt with—it’s a relatively recent development—and I’ve never actually brought it up with my doctor because, frankly, I always forget about the muscle pain in the moment—or perhaps I’ve just become desensitized to it... I don't take any pills unless the pain becomes truly unbearable. I'm curious—has anyone else encountered these specific symptoms?

So, you've gone under the knife twice already and there’s still a tiny little bump visible on your nose😕? I mean, how is that even possible? Honestly—though I know everyone has their own opinion—I think your nose looks perfectly fine; it isn't even remotely close to being an unattractive nose😍
mellowowl83, could you let me know which doctor you’re seeing? If you aren't comfortable sharing publicly, at least send me a private message. Good luck with the surgery—and please, for everyone's sake, do let us know how it turns out.
Hi there, I’m new to this forum. I am planning to undergo rhinoplasty quite soon... I have scrolled through a massive amount of pages regarding this topic, but I haven't really come across anyone who specifically dealt with a wide nose. My nose profile is actually perfect at the bridge, but as it descends toward the tip, it becomes progressively wider and broader. Since I sport a bit of a beard, this is incredibly distracting to me. The slight bump isn't an issue—it's very mild—but the width is the problem. The worst part is the tip; it's far too wide and my nostrils are huge. Does anyone here have actual experience with narrowing the width of the nose and the nostrils? I've been Googling images online, but I can't find many American surgical results specifically focused on widening issues. If anyone happens to have any insight, I would truly appreciate a response. My nose shape is most similar to the actual nose of Scarlett Johansson -> here
And naturally, I would love a similar result—provided I don't lose my entire identity to a "plastic" looking nose.
