It's an old-school way to clean ears. A while back, you could actually pick this up at pharmacies—some local apothecary used to manufacture it...

Are there any salons that offer this? Who actually does it? And where did the manager get hers done?

My ENT doctor actually told me that using Q-tips isn't the best way to clean your ears... we're really just pushing everything deeper in. I mean, I still use them because they feel fine, but at the end of the day, all that wax just stays trapped inside. It starts building up...

I caught that episode of Torture Hour where they showed someone cleaning their ears using a lit, rolled-up piece of paper. The ENT on the show was pretty adamant about staying away from cotton swabs, too. Did anyone else catch that? If we aren't supposed to use Q-tips, how are we actually supposed to clean our ears? Does anyone know if there are places that offer professional ear cleaning like that... maybe certain spas or clinics?
