"Come back in a month," "try again in two," "wait all day," blah blah blah... and I had some pretty urgent stuff going on. 👎 Luckily, I finally found this super kind older doctor out in New Chicago—way less chaotic than the downtown area—who always makes time for me. He’s not even private practice, which is a plus. I'm happy now. 👍
Drop the name if he's actually good! 🙂 I'm looking for someone nearby since I'm moving soon...

Honestly, he’s about 70, but the guy is a total pro. Both my mom and a bunch of her
friends go to him. He’s careful, discreet, and actually takes the time to walk you through everything while he’s "working"—explaining what he’s doing,
you can ask him anything, like if you need a full checkup plus a pelvic exam, blood pressure, breast exam, and a PAP
test—I think he charged about $83 and I had my results within three days.
It was a great experience, totally zero shame, honestly felt quite pleasant, haha.
Highly recommend.
Hey, that old gentleman actually covered for my gynecologist when I went in for my very first exam. For that first visit, things were incredibly chill. He was so attentive and managed to get me to relax since I was basically a ball of nerves at the time. The only thing that wasn't great—looking back—was when I mentioned that sex had been painful, and he just said, and I quote: "It's all in your head." I didn't really buy it, but I figured I'd chalk it up to his age. You say he's 70? When I saw him about ten years ago, he seemed much older than that—I actually thought he was already retired.
Oh, Dr. Miller! I actually saw him back when I was in grad school. He’s a decent guy—not rude or anything—it’s just that he won't look you in the eye while he talks. He’ll give you all the answers, sure, but he just avoids eye contact entirely! Honestly, it’s perfect for those girls who feel totally mortified running into a gynecologist at the grocery store. 🙂 He definitely won't recognize you! 😉 I’ve always heard that male doctors tend to be more careful because they can't personally relate to what the exam feels like—they don't want to mess up—whereas some women might be a bit rougher, thinking, "Oh, please, you're going to tell me it hurts, I already know." I haven't run into a female doctor yet, so I can't really confirm if that's true.
