I feel bad for Cooper, honestly. 🤷 Personally, I thought A Star Is Born was a much better film than Bohemian Rhapsody, so I’m hoping the Oscars will make up for it.

So, I just scrolled through this entire thread, and I have to say, I’m honestly surprised that nobody else caught some of the glaring mistakes I spotted immediately...
But they didn't ruin my impression of the film... 🙂)

So, you know that part where his ex brings over the wine and the glasses... then suddenly, the wine is already poured...

That scene where Kim heads back to her dressing room just to change—she pops right back out in a button-down and trousers... 😬

You're right. It isn't quite that bad. Actually, it's worse. 🙂
I'm no film critic, nor am I a massive cinephile, but even to me, this felt transparent and boring. It was just bad, plain and simple. 🤦 And I don't hate Neeson. I see people giving it a five, but I'd barely give it a two. 👎

As for the mistakes in the movie, anyone who has ever been to Istanbul would want to cry. 🙂
He gets kidnapped downtown, near the Egyptian market... then we see them traveling by boat to the other side of the city. Later, when the girl is searching for him and throwing grenades, it turns out he was only held captive two streets (or maybe two houses 🤣) away from where he was snatched.

And then there's the Galata Bridge when they are driving (that scene where he and his wife talk before the kidnapping). You can cross that bridge on foot in less than ten minutes, which means a car takes seconds, yet they seem to be driving for at least five minutes.
It drove me absolutely crazy.🙂

I really don't see the point of a third installment. 🤷
I'm with Liam on this one; everything should have stayed within the world of "Taken" and 🙂

They just loop endlessly around the Grand Mosque and the Grand Bazaar. Then, once he finally gets snatched, they just hop on a boat and head over to the other side of the city—you know, that part where he starts remembering sounds and counting? And then, when the little girl saves him by tossing grenades, it turns out they're right back near that same mosque, running up and down two streets. Honestly, I can't even. 😂

What a disaster. The first half was fantastic, but this second act is just pure boredom. I almost fell asleep in my seat at the AMC theater. 🤷
Who actually gets excited about the Istanbul cast? There isn't much to work with there anyway. Everything just revolves around the SPICE Bazaar and a couple of streets going back and forth... plus a few plot holes (it involves a kidnapping and a ferry, not to mention the Asian side of the city 🤦, but I won't spoil too much).

I haven't read the book, and I have zero interest in watching the American version. Mostly because of the lead actor, but everything else about it seems off too.
