If we were to categorize this as an action-thriller infused with horror elements, we could look at:

Silent Rage (1982)
The First Power (1990)
Sleepstalker (1995)
Shadow Builder (1998)
The Minion (1998)
Fallen (1998)
End of Days (1999)

Now, those others actually lean into Sci-Fi as well:

SF: The Hidden (1987)
Split Second (1992)
Project Metalbeast (1995)

It’s easily the first decent entry if you’re looking at it through the lens of horror—or even just as a solid slasher. The sequel is a massive struggle to get through, and honestly, the third one is best forgotten altogether...

We'll just have to wait and see how this series turns out.
