I know a friend’s mom dealt with something similar—some kind of shadows on her lung scans.
She was put on corticosteroids—Prednisone and some other one, I can't recall the name right now... feeling a bit foggy since I've actually been on them myself before.🙄
Sure, they’re pretty much indispensable when things go south during a total meltdown.
There's no 🙂 , and dealing with them is just 🙂
...
I’d highly recommend going with contact lenses. I’ve been wearing glasses since the 6th grade, but honestly, I just got tired of them. Between the constant fogging, the smudges, and the way they slide down your nose whenever you sweat... plus you can't exactly wear sunglasses over them... it gets old.
A few years back, I tried soft contacts. They were fine at first, but like someone else mentioned here, you can't just wear them 24/7. They seem more permeable, which I guess means bacteria can get in and cause an infection if you aren't careful.🙂
Then one of them literally cracked on me, so I called it quits for a while.
And you have to replace them once a year, too.
Last year, I switched to semi-rigid lenses, and they’ve been a total game changer. There’s a bit of a learning curve compared to the soft ones—with soft lenses, you just pop them in and forget they're there—but once you get the hang of these, they just fit better.
They're much more reliable.
I ordered mine through a local private eye clinic. Between the exam, the lenses, and the initial starter kit with all the solutions, I paid about $267 and had everything ready to go within two days.
Anyway, that's my two cents.
Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

Hey Casey Palmer5, I've been thinking about those 14-hour shifts of yours all day.
Makes me feel like everything is going to turn out okay eventually...👍

College isn't necessarily "harder" than high school for me... it's just a completely different way of learning.
In high school, you're under constant pressure. I know I personally deal with stress more often than most. You're always trying to keep up, constantly grinding through something.
The college rhythm works better for me. I study when I want to—which usually means cramming during finals week. My brain basically turns into static during those periods, but that’s just how it goes. You can choose whether to show up to lectures or not, but if you do show up, at least you can live with yourself.😉
Studying in groups just doesn't work for me.
I start messing around and everything goes out the window.
But honestly, it’ll probably be one of my favorite memories. I always have a blast...
Oh, and I actually spent the whole day reading and studying today (plus made lunch)😎

🙏 🙏 🙏
I've never quite reached that level of discipline.
unfortunately...
No, no, no... absolutely not ten hours. I can't even wrap my head around that idea.
Personally, I’d much rather pull ten days of three or four hours here and there than face five days of ten-hour shifts.
That sounds like a living coma to me. Or more accurately... it would be a living coma.

Unfortunately, I just don't function well under pressure.
It’s just not how I work. When the stress hits, I tend to bail and wait for the next opportunity to retake it. Then I usually end up bailing again...😁
Amy Gomez36 said:Honestly, I think if I can just force myself to stay home long enough, eventually the urge to actually study will kick in...
Yeah, that’s pretty much my philosophy too. For instance, instead of heading downtown for coffee this morning, I stayed put, scrolled through some stuff online, and did a bit of studying.
I always feel a little more centered when I stay in, even if the actual studying is minimal...
Maybe I should give Persen a look... I mean, it's all-natural anyway...
God, this anxiety... the nerves before exams are killing me. I should probably shut up already.
I didn't really deal with this back when I was just doing my regular coursework and standard finals. I guess everything moved faster than I could process it, so I never had time to overanalyze things, and panic never really caught me by surprise.
But lately? It’s been a total nightmare. 😲 (I'm talking about this whole crisis during the final graduation exam period).
The worst part is when I start deep-diving into these endless philosophical loops, thinking things like: "I won't take anything else this month. I'll just wrap things up 😎 study a little more, and then I'll definitely pass." 🤮
And that feeling of being useless—of constantly wasting time (coffee, scrolling, TV, and one particular hobby of mine I won't mention right now)—it just doesn't stop. It’s brutal when the guilt starts eating at me, so I try to actually sit down and study, but then 😕 .
I don't know. I'm just sitting here venting instead of actually grinding.
But those "butterflies in your stomach" people talk about during exams? Yeah, they're pure horror.
