...well, here I am again...
...I've ended up with a nasty case of a yeast infection thanks to those antibiotics... and honestly, the burning sensation is driving me absolutely crazy...
..does anyone have any advice on what I should be using? I'm feeling a bit stuck—since I'm not entirely sure if I might be pregnant, I'm questioning how wise it would be to use those over-the-counter vaginal suppositories... my doctor hasn't really given me any specific recommendations yet...
...please, help a girl out...🙏
...I really appreciate all the input here...
Hi there...
........So, I recently had some gynecological swabs done, and one of them came back positive for Staphylococcus aureus. My doctor mentioned that I really need to clear this up since we're actively trying to conceive, so he prescribed me 500 mg of Sumamed—and emphasized that I’ll need follow-up swabs in three weeks to make sure everything is clear. Could anyone help me understand what this actually means? Like, how does one even contract this, and how is it passed around? Also, my doctor didn't mention anything about my partner needing treatment... should he be taking anything too?
..One more thing: since we're trying for a baby, we haven't been using protection, and I actually had unprotected intercourse during my ovulation window. Now I'm a little worried that I might already be pregnant—if that's the case, is it safe to take Sumamed?
Yeah, I’m actually booking an appointment with another gynecologist first thing Monday morning... I haven't even mentioned yet that I’ve been in pain for the last ten days. At first, it was just my left ovary, then it shifted to the right, then the uterus—just this constant, dull ache. It honestly feels exactly like the cramps I get right before my period starts. My doctor didn't want to jump to conclusions about inflammation just yet, though she’ll likely have a better idea once the ultrasound and physical exam are done; in the meantime, she sent me off for blood work and a urine test. Aside from this persistent, dull discomfort, I don't have any other symptoms... everything really kicked off right after ovulation. To be honest, I’m starting to panic a little that something might rupture. I’m genuinely shaken up, especially after spending way too much time digging through threads on these forums... it’s reached the point where I’m actually scared to go anywhere—I can't stop wondering, "what if it bursts?" I really should have pushed my doctor to explain things more clearly instead of just spiraling because the results were inconclusive or unexplained.
I’m feeling a bit discouraged after my recent checkup—as far as I know, I don't have PCOS. For years now, I've been dealing with incredibly painful periods, and because the pain was so intense, I’ve gone through every test imaginable. I’ve even had CA 125 marker tests and various hormonal panels done, and everything has always come back perfectly normal. Now, I’m just left in the dark. My gynecologist wasn't particularly forthcoming, nor did she offer any real explanations, despite me asking her repeatedly. Her responses were so brief—it felt like her only solution to everything was, "Well, this needs to be removed." Honestly, it felt like she didn't even bother to listen to me; her main priority seemed to be making sure she charged me for that ultrasound $67. So, here I am, turning to this community to see if anyone can help make sense of all this.

I'm honestly a bit lost here—what does all this actually mean?
The report mentions there isn't any free fluid in the Douglas pouch, but they did find a mass on the left side about the size of a mandarin orange—and apparently, it's quite painful when touched. They're suggesting an LPSC surgical procedure...
Nicole Parker93 said:So, where exactly was this cyst located?
It was on my left ovary.
Could someone please help me make sense of this ultrasound finding? It says there's a cystic mass on my left ovary measuring 50x44 mm—it shows mixed echogenicity, but there's no visible neovascularization on the TVCD.
RECOMMENDATION: SURGICAL INTERVENTION
I haven't been pregnant before, and I’ve never dealt with any cyst issues in the past.
It’s a bit startling because just nine months ago, this same cyst was only about 1 cm.

In your 30s, people who used to gain weight easily tend to put on more, while those who are naturally thin start to lose muscle mass. If you have a leaner build and need to fill out your frame, you need to focus on yin foods. Chocolate and anything containing chocolate is considered yang food, so don't expect it to help you gain weight.
...so, what should I be eating then?...

So... what do you all think—is the whole situation essentially flipped once you hit your thirties?
So... maybe when I hit thirty, I’ll actually show up on this Forum to ask for advice on how to lose some weight? Or am I just kidding myself?🙂 🙂 😬

I've read through all the posts Kyle Collins2 mentioned and Kate Flores4, but... it doesn't matter. The truth is, I eat incredibly unhealthy food and I'm constantly snacking; I think the only time my mouth is actually empty is when I'm sleeping. This has been my life since puberty, so we're talking years here... and yet, the scale won't budge. Sure, I stay very active, but even so, I don't get how I can eat this much volume without seeing any change...😕 It’s probably because my metabolism runs as fast as light. 😳
...I'm in the exact same boat here...

Ah... your sweet little problems. 😳
...I'm eating chocolate cereal, actual chocolate bars, chips, and all sorts of other junk, but it simply doesn't stick to my ribs...

You're very welcome—it was truly my pleasure to help out with that. If there is anything else you need, whether it's a deep dive into a complex topic or just a bit of quick assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out. I'm always around and happy to lend a hand whenever the mood strikes. Have a wonderful day!
I am just simply too thin. Based on my BMI, I’m officially underweight. But honestly—the strangest part of all this—is that I eat constantly, and I’m actually quite healthy; my hormones, thyroid, and blood work all come back perfectly normal. Yet, despite everything, I just cannot seem to gain any weight. I’ve tried everything from various vitamins and cod liver oil to strictly high-calorie diets, but nothing seems to stick.
I honestly don't understand how this is even possible. Has anyone else dealt with something similar? Did you eventually manage to put on some weight?😕 😕 🙂
