We still don't have answers about what caused the accident

The crash near Novos happened back on September 10, 2022. A passenger train hit a freight train sitting on the tracks between Novos and Rajić. Apparently, that freight train was just stuck there because of some kind of mechanical failure.

It’s devastating. We lost the engineer, Mario Gusak, an Amtrak conductor, and even a 17-year-old kid—the son of another Amtrak engineer. To this day, nobody knows exactly how it went down or who, or what, is responsible for this whole nightmare.
