Hey there! Does anyone happen to have any insight regarding those Man Kung self-bows? I'm looking at one rated at 150 lbs, and the price tag is sitting at $733 without any optics included. I was wondering if you all think that’s actually a fair deal—basically, does the value you get out of it justify what you're putting in?

I was just sitting here thinking about it, but let’s be honest—we all live for that little bit of validation, don't we?
Thanks so much for the response!
Dealing with hemorrhoids – any advice? in Health ·
Hey there! Honestly, after reading through all these posts, I feel completely lost in the weeds—one person says this, another claims that, and I’m just sitting here wondering what anyone should actually believe. If you ask me, the best move is always to just trust a doctor and follow their lead.
So, here's my situation: I've dealt with hemorrhoids maybe once or twice before. I think they were external ones because they felt like little little balls during cleaning, and man, they were painful, though they never actually bled. They usually cleared up after a few days, but now I'm dealing with some small ones that aren't quite as intense, yet I'm definitely seeing some blood when I wipe. 😲
I can't help but wonder if it's possible they've cracked or started bleeding because of all the cycling I do. I've been riding a bike for about 22 miles years now on this high-performance racing saddle that is incredibly hard. About a year ago, I had some really bad pain but no bleeding, but now... is it actually possible they've ruptured from all the cycling? It’s a pretty grueling route I take, and honestly, I'm not exactly in peak physical condition right now, which makes me wonder since I noticed the blood immediately after my first ride back.
Commuting to work by bike in Cycling ·
I figured I should jump in here too, because I’ve been hitting the road 9.9 miles every single day in one direction, mostly because I went way too hard on the snacks over the winter and ended up packing on an extra 33 pounds 🍿🍿. Honestly, I just love to eat! Since running really isn't my thing, I decided to give cycling a shot instead, and let me tell you, it has been an absolute game-changer—I cannot recommend it enough. To be completely honest, during that very first ride when I was still weighing about 250 pounds, I spent the entire hour and a half just praying for it to end; I was actually thinking about tossing the whole bike into a ditch just to escape the sheer exhaustion and the absolute agony in my backside. But fast forward about two months, and everything has finally clicked into place. Now, my commute is a breeze, clocking in at a personal best of 36 minutes (I use a smaller front chainring, so I’m basically cruising in 26th or 27th gear most of the time since it's mostly flat terrain), and I roll into the office feeling refreshed, upbeat, and honestly, more energized than I ever thought possible. I just hit the locker room for a quick rinse and a change of clothes, and then I'm good to go until it's time to head home. It makes you feel like a brand new person; even my back doesn't ache like it used to, which is huge since my job requires me to be hunched over all day
. I have to admit, I used to poke fun at people on bicycles, but now I see that they are absolutely killing it
.
Seriously, I’d tell anyone to go for it
Art appraisals/valuations? in Classifieds ·
Greetings, everyone! So, I recently came into possession of a painting—a gift from an older gentleman who’s actually held onto this particular piece for about thirty years now. It’s a landscape depicting some quaint little houses, and tucked away in the corner, there's a signature that looks like "I T" or perhaps "J T," though the frame makes it a bit of a puzzle to decipher the exact letters. Now, truth be told, art isn't exactly my specialty—I wouldn't know a masterpiece from a grocery list if it hit me in the face—so I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction regarding who I might contact to identify the artist or get some kind of appraisal? To add a little more detail to the mystery, the work itself is painted on what appears to be a type of linen canvas. Thank you all so much in advance for any help you can provide!

Look, I’m fully aware there’s no sense in complaining about missing my chance; I blew it, plain and simple, and honestly, I deserve the wake-up call. But if I’m being totally honest, I’ve got this nagging anxiety that they might extend my driving ban even further. It’s just... I really rely on my car, you know? Especially since the buses and the subway lines around here have been such a mess lately, and trying to get everywhere without my own wheels for the next three months sounds like a total nightmare...😠😠

I should probably mention that back when the police pulled me over—and they went through my entire car looking for drugs or something along those lines, I suppose... I'm still not entirely sure what they were hunting for!—they didn't give me any kind of official documentation at all; I mean, not even a simple receipt or a slip of paper, though they did tell me quite clearly that I’d be heading straight to municipal court!🤷

I’ve been scouring this forum for ages, but I just can’t seem to track down a thread that specifically tackles this new legislation, so I would be absolutely thrilled if someone could point me in the right direction or offer some seasoned advice!

So, here’s the situation: about three months ago, under these updated laws, I was slapped with a nine-month driver's license suspension.
Honestly, I didn't put up a fight; I just signed the paperwork, handed my license over to the police, and stayed off the road. This was actually my very first offense in my entire life. I'm only 25, so until this moment, I’ve always considered myself a model citizen when it comes to following the rules of the road. But then, yesterday, I overslept for work and made the fateful decision to drive—and, wouldn't you know it, I decided to take the bypass route because I figured there wouldn't be any cops out there!
I pulled into a gas station to grab a soda, and lo and behold, the police were right there waiting... 😕
And of course, it was the usual routine—all the "blah blah blah" about how my blood alcohol and drug tests came back at a perfect zero, which was totally accurate, but they still have to follow the protocol. They told me that I’ll have to appear before a judge to explain exactly why I was behind the wheel in the first place.

If anyone happens to know the best way to navigate a mess like this, I would be incredibly grateful for your wisdom!
