Elizabeth Brown90 I think you missed the actual text you wanted me to rewrite! Just paste whatever you've got, and I'll get to work turning it into something that sounds like a real person talking—no robot vibes allowed. I'm ready when you are.
I honestly think it all just comes down to timing, you know? Like, there’s a massive difference between a transfer hitting at 10:00 AM versus some late-night transaction at 7:00 PM. It’s all about when that clock starts ticking. Plus, you can't ignore the whole banking situation either—if you're trying to move money between different institutions, like sending something from Chase over to State Farm, things are naturally going to move way slower. It’s just basic logic, really; the more moving parts involved between different banks, the longer you're stuck waiting.😍

Thanks!🙂
I’m pretty sure there’s some kind of rule about this—like, if you get your transfers in before noon, they actually clear the same day, but if you miss that window and send them after lunch, you’re stuck waiting until the next business day.🤔
So, I was just sitting here thinking about all this stuff involving State Farm and Chase, and honestly, it’s got me going in circles.🙂
Hey, can anyone give me a quick heads-up here:
I'm planning on sending over the funds first thing Monday morning via online banking from either State Farm or Chase, but I'm really tripping out over the timing—will the money actually land the same day, or am I looking at waiting until Tuesday? Like, what's the deal with how that works? Does it depend on something specific?
thanks so much🙏
Angela Flores76 said:I honestly wouldn't know for sure, I just know generally that you aren't supposed to be mailing liquids through the USPS. At least, that's what I was always told, though I've sent stuff before by packing it up super carefully—like, wrapping it maybe a hundred times over and all that—and making sure to ask them to slap one of those "fragile" stickers on the box. 🙂

alright, thanks! 😉👍
Megan Ward98 said:I've actually shipped and received perfumes through the mail at least 30 times... and really, only once did some girl make a total rookie mistake by sending a perfume in a plain yellow envelope without any bubble wrap 😲 and of course, it ended up shattered... 😢

Everything else went totally fine: just stuff the box with old newspapers to create a cushion and put the bottle right in the center, wrapped in paper towels or plastic bags... basically, the more padding the better and even if that box falls ten times onto a hard floor, it won't break. I haven't even bothered marking my packages as fragile, yet everything I've ever sent has arrived perfectly.

🙏
👍👍👍
Angela Flores76 - so wait, if that's the case, how am I even supposed to ship a perfume 🤔
?
Yeah, I’m totally with you, it’s such a bummer they ditched that old calculator tool👎👎👎
So, I was sending off a package the other day—I had the declared value set at $27—and the total came out to exactly $4.25🙂
.
Has anyone else noticed them hiking up their rates lately, or am I just totally out of the loop here? 🤔
Like, I'm aware of that last price adjustment they rolled out, but I can't tell if they've bumped things up again since then 🤔
. Anyway, sorry if this has already been asked, I might have missed it 🙂

So, I ended up grabbing a massive haul from Staples for just $40—literally hundreds of those tiny, adorable bubble mailers in packs of 10. Honestly, if I buy any more, they’re going to start taking over my entire living room 😬 at this point, which is a real problem 😍
. But you know, my absolute favorite part of selling stuff online is actually the packaging phase. I love the whole process of looking at an item, figuring out exactly which size envelope will fit it perfectly, and then getting everything ready. I’ll get my shipping labels printed and prep all the paperwork for certified mail or standard packages right then and there. I’m a total scavenger when it comes to supplies, too! I actually made a deal with my aunt where she saves every single shoe box from her Target runs so I can swing by and pick them up 🙂. I even have this guy I know who works at a Sherwin-Williams who sets aside empty cans and little containers for me 🙂. It’s honestly such a win because I see potential in every single scrap of packaging for future sales 😍.

It means whenever I finally head down to the Post Office, I am totally set. Everything is wrapped up, labeled, organized, the forms are filled out, and I’ve even got my exact change ready to go 😵 😍 hehe
Angela Flores76 said:The USPS is definitely slower than doing things through Chase or Wells Fargo, but I don't think it should be *that* much more sluggish than that right now. 🤷

hmm🤔 I'm guessing it shouldn't take more than five days, right? Does anyone else happen to know for sure?🤷
Hey guys, does anyone know how long it usually takes for cash sent through the mail to actually show up in my Chase account? 🤔
Thanks so much 🙏

Does this actually mean anything?
I got this as a gift, and honestly, it looks like it’s at least a decade old, so it definitely isn't new. It’s pretty heavy too, which makes me wonder—I can't tell if it's solid gold or just gold-plated, but apparently, it came from Lourdes!
I've attached some photos here, so if anyone out there knows a bit more about this kind of thing, I'd love to hear it.🙏

Yeah, thanks guys.🙂
Sometimes I run out of those little poly mailers for packing up clothes, which is honestly such a pain when you're in the middle of a shipping marathon, but from here on out, I’ve decided I'm just going to send envelopes as actual packages too.☕
I mean, honestly, what are we even talking about here? Is it just me, or does that whole vibe—that specific mix of spaghetti and... well, whatever "voila" is supposed to imply in this context—just feel like one of those weirdly specific cravings you get at 2 AM when you're staring at the fridge in a dark kitchen? It’s like, you know that feeling when you’re driving through somewhere like Chicago or maybe just cruising down a quiet street in Austin, and suddenly you just *need* a massive bowl of carbs? That's what this brings to mind. It's such a random thought, but I can't stop thinking about how some things just pair together in your head without any actual logic behind it. Like, is it a culinary masterpiece or just a chaotic snack? I'm leaning towards chaotic, but hey, sometimes chaos is exactly what the soul needs, right?😍
I usually just stick to sending everything via certified mail, you know? Sometimes the tracking fees end up being like, seventeen or twenty bucks extra, but honestly, I don't even sweat it. It’s really not worth losing sleep over a couple of bucks here or there when you just want to make sure things actually get where they're supposed to go.🙂
I feel like I’m asking you guys a million questions lately, but I really need some help here🙂

So, basically, what’s the deal with bubble mailers? Like, is there any specific size limit for sending them as a package, or can I just toss
ANY size envelope in the mail and call it a day?
I've been looking everywhere for those larger A4 or A3 padded envelopes, but I haven't had much luck finding them in bulk packs where you actually get a decent amount for a good price. Does anyone know where I can pick up a big pack of those around Chicago or maybe just a major suburb nearby, and what kind of damage am I going to take on the wallet if I buy them?

Thanks so much🙏
Alright, thanks so much, but I could really use some clarity on a few things here😁>🙂>
So, basically, I’m heading down to the post office this Friday, and I’m planning to ask them if I can just wrap my items up myself instead of using their stuff. Like, I’ll fold everything up super neatly, wrap it in nice white paper, and label it so clearly that it looks just like a standard envelope😍

The thing is, buying all those envelopes is getting ridiculously expensive. If I'm sending out, say, 10 packages, and I'm using those big, bulky A4 or A3 padded mailers, the cost adds up to about $33, which is just way too much. So, I was wondering if I could just DIY the packaging to look like an envelope—maybe even make it look better than the official ones🙂 🤔

I mean, have you guys seen how people ship stuff to us from eBay? It’s a total disaster. Honestly, I have no idea how they even get their packages through the system😵 They literally just toss everything into some random plastic bag, there’s zero organization, and they slap the address on wherever they feel like. You can barely tell who’s sending what to whom, it’s just chaos😵
And I’ve definitely had my fair share of packages show up looking like a mess because of it, though I guess that’s just how it goes sometimes...🤷 Anyway, it really got me thinking
a can I actually send a small box—like, a jacket or something—as if it were just a standard certified letter😬
The item is worth about $67, so should I just take the gamble and list the value at $80... or what? What's the smartest move here?

And while I have you guys, let me ask this one more time: can I ship my stuff wrapped up the way I did it before? You know, just paper, a plastic bag, sealed tight and all neat, but without using those annoying bubble mailers?🤔
(I could probably upload a photo so you can see exactly how I’ve got it packed, though I'm not sure if the system will even let me, since last time I thought about doing it that way but ended up just not sending it at all)🤷
So, I was wondering, can I just send this thing off as a certified letter if I wrap it up in one of those yellow padded envelopes and seal it tight? It basically looks identical to just tossing it in a standard poly mailer, except, you know, it’s plastic—does that actually make a difference to the post office or the sorting machines?🤔🤷 It's just a small clutch bag.
Hey, is anyone 😢 around? I really need some 🙏 help right now
Hey everyone, quick question—does the local Post Office here in Metković actually stay open on Saturdays? Like, if I needed to swing by, what kind of hours are we looking at?
Thanks!😍
😂🤣 11lbs
so, basically, if I'm sending off a package, do I just put down the value $27👍 regardless of how much stuff is actually inside?
thanks so much for the help, everyone
Elizabeth Brown90 said:From what I can gather, you really need to get everything tucked into a proper box. If it's one of those awkward shapes that’s hard to carry, you should probably tie it up with some twine, though honestly, sometimes you don't even need the string—it kind of just depends on which USPS branch you're dealing with since some folks are super picky about it and others don't care at all. You've gotta put both the sender's info and the recipient's info on the same side of the package; don't do that thing where you put your return address on the back like a letter, because they want it right there on the front alongside the destination. Also, right under your own address, you should clearly state the value of what's inside, and then write out that amount in words too, just to be safe. It's usually best that if the package isn't heavier than $1.75, you just list the package type as $27 (which means you'll end up paying $4.75) or maybe $33 (so the shipping ends up being $5.00). Sending stuff as a formal package is actually pretty solid because you get a receipt that basically acts as your insurance policy if things go sideways and the package gets lost in transit; with that paper in hand, you can file a claim and they'll eventually refund you part of your money (I think you get back the shipping cost multiplied by five, if I remember right). Usually, the shipment shows up in two or three days, depending on how far apart you guys are... anyway, I hope that helps a bit....😍

That's awesome👍
but how am I supposed to know if the package weighs more than $1.75?🤔
like, let's say my total value is $23?
Should I just pack it all up now and go ahead and write down the addresses and the value all at once?
So, I was wondering... when I actually want to ship something out as a package, what’s the best way to pack it all up?🤔
Like, should I be using specific types of twine or maybe some heavy-duty tape?
Also, does anyone know what the shipping costs usually look like these days? Is it better to send it via certified mail or just standard, and roughly how many days am I looking at before it actually lands on someone's doorstep?
