I'm pretty sure it's 5 days, then it just heads right back to the sender.
So, my cousin sent me some Ugg boots from California back on February 19th. I was just sitting there waiting for them to show up at my house, but nothing. Zilch. Then she calls me yesterday to tell me they actually got sent all the way back to her! You've gotta be kidding me, right? Apparently, the package says nobody was home to pick it up. So, I call the local post office, and they give me this whole story about how the mail carrier who was supposed to deliver it is out on sick leave. They basically told me if we call him, he’ll probably just claim he left a notice—even though he definitely didn't—and since there's no proof either way, we're stuck. Now she's being forced to pay for shipping all over again just because the USPS messed up. Is there actually any way to prove anything here, or am I just out of luck?
