By the way, it looks like Bet365 isn't even offering bonuses for anyone living here in the States anymore.
So, I was admitted to the hospital for four days because of some congestive heart failure issues.
Since I’m only on basic coverage without any supplemental insurance, the bill came in at $567
. Now, everything might have been fine if I hadn't laid eyes on the itemized list of materials and services they decided to charge me for!!!
My mother happens to be a physician, and she tells me this is perfectly standard—that they do this to everyone and there isn't much to complain about.
But looking at some of these line items...
1. Monitoring
2. Miscellaneous—basically just highway robbery at this point...
3. Implant insertion—they didn't implant a single thing in me!?
4. Pharmacotherapy—listed twice with a quantity of 1 each.
5. Other physiological assessments—
6. Hearing function assessment—honestly, screw them and my hearing; don't even get me started on how they supposedly "checked" my ears.
7. Assessment—that’s literally all it says.
8. Integrity assessment—??
9. Independence assessment—how exactly does that add value to my care?
10. Maintenance assessment—
11. Assessment—yet another duplicate entry.
12. Intake assessment—do they seriously think I'm an idiot?
13. Patient's assessment of... WHAT??? THEIR OWN BRAIN???
14. Other assessments—HELLO??? ARE YOU KIDDING ME???!!!
15. Therapeutic interventions
16. Assistance with activities
17. Assistance with activities—nobody touched me or helped me move; I'm 23 years old.
18. Assistance with activities—I'm an athlete; even when I was at my sickest, I could have run a marathon.
19. Monitoring or transport—???
20. Serum glucose—never received this.
21. Serum urate plasma—never received this either.
22.
23. A few empty entries with a quantity of 1.🙏
24. Urinalysis—this never even happened!
It is an absolute disgrace that this is how things work in this country; if I tried to bill my services like this, I'd be behind bars in no time!
Could someone please clarify exactly what kind of offense we're talking about here?
America
U.S. Department of Homeland Security
Split Police Department

If you ask me, you’re better off just paying the fine and moving on; the statute of limitations is four years, so there's really nothing to sweat in the long run. $167 It isn't exactly the end of the world, and why would you want to risk an extra $150-$67 in legal fees just to prove a point? To me, those court costs feel like throwing money down a drain. I mean, honestly, is it even worth dragging yourself through a courtroom over $167? Personally, I think your best bet might be to file an appeal—just be upfront, admit the mistake, mention that you have a clean record, and ask them to just give you a warning this time.
wanderingraven15, I really appreciate the advice. Is there any way I could swap out the running or walking for something else, maybe an hour of a high-intensity HIIT session? To be honest, I’ve never been much of a runner. If you’ve ever heard of HIIT, personally, I think it’s absolutely brilliant for getting things done quickly.
So, here’s the breakdown from the guy I was talking to, just in case you’re looking to get the full picture. If the goal is to lean out a bit while simultaneously packing on some muscle mass—if that kind of thing even makes sense to you 😁
Could someone point me toward a few decent protein brands that you guys have actually put to the test? I'd love to know what works, and if anyone knows roughly what they’re going to run me for at a local pharmacy or drugstore like CVS or Walgreens rather than just guessing online.
I honestly think you ought to run this by your doctor first; if you actually mentioned wanting to drop some weight or hit a specific goal, they’d give you some tailored advice, but in my experience, just sticking to a balanced, wholesome diet—you know, cutting back on the processed sugars and heavy fats while loading up on plenty of vegetables and whatnot—is usually the way to go.
And then there’s this guy just digging holes in the middle of everything like he’s trying to build some DIY slam dunk hoop out of nowhere—honestly, they should just disqualify him on the spot. I mean, seriously, what is Ucija even thinking? It's absolutely ridiculous.
Honestly, he should just be embarrassed at this point; he's getting absolutely crushed by her and it's painful to watch.
Does anyone happen to know if there’s an MMA or Jiu-jitsu club over in San Diego?
