Soccer Betting Tips & Discussion in Betting Forum ·
I’m with you on FC Basel—honestly, I bet half the people out there have them on their parlay, just like everyone else had Manchester United yesterday. But I’ve been staring at the Ajax Amsterdam vs Jablonec line in Pinnacle, sitting at 1.59... I don't know, it feels a little high, maybe? Does Ajax Amsterdam even play in the Europa League?

"I mean, I honestly can't believe anyone who thinks they’re actually serious about this would just toss out a bet entirely because of the vig and taxes."
Look, call me whatever you want, but I'm being dead serious when I say betting on any of our local books has felt totally wrong ever since that 10% tax hit us. I thought I could stomach the 5% vig—it was annoying, sure—but this new stuff? They really overstepped the mark. I've been at this for maybe 15 years now, mostly sticking to tennis and basic moneyline soccer bets, so I know what I'm doing. What's with all this childish bickering, though? You guys are still hitting me up about Marathon, too. It's always going to be "oh, he started it first"—honestly, it sounds like something kids would argue about on a playground back in elementary school. 🙂

Go ahead and post it once those folks from the help center actually get back to you. Honestly, for pretty much every website and email account out there, you really ought to be using unique passwords—the kind that aren't just sitting in some dictionary—and they definitely need to have a mix of uppercase, lowercase, symbols, and numbers. Just throw them all together randomly, I guess. And please, for the love of everything, stay away from those predictable patterns like qwerty, asdfgh, or things like 1a2b3c... if you do that, well, you might be somewhat secure, but I mean, if someone actually decides to target you specifically, there’s probably not much hope left anyway.

Wait, how exactly did you land on the idea that the profit at Marathon is 24.22% higher? I mean—if we're looking at net winnings—it's $27 at SS versus $33 at Marathon. If you take the higher winning amount as the baseline—you know, 100%—then the difference between those two payouts is $6.50, which works out to about 19.5%, meaning the profit is actually up by 19.5%. So, yeah... maybe walk me through your math there? I'm curious.

edit: Oh, I see what happened now. My bad. I was using the higher win as my base, but I should have used the lower one instead—I basically did the math backward. You laid it out pretty clearly. I just calculated the percentage of the gain relative to the larger payout and then subtracted the numbers. Simple mistake, I guess.

I don't really mess with overs, unders, or player point totals, though—you can pretty much click your way through those if you want. It’ll show you the odds on the right side, kind of like how SuperSport does it.

Charles Wright said:Maybe I just totally misread the situation—I mean, I’m still pretty green when it comes to using international sportsbooks—but am I right in thinking you can't really stack multiple legs onto a single parlay at Pinnacle to juice up those odds? Or is that just me being clueless?

It’s pretty straightforward—you just have to log in first, and then once you're in, head up to the top near the cashier icon and click on... Accumulators—or parlay bets, if you're feeling fancy about it—are really one of those things that just... well, they're a trip. It’s that classic gambling itch, I guess. You look at a bunch of individual picks, right? Everything seems solid. A little lock here, a sure thing there—maybe an MLS underdog or a random NBA spread—and you think, "Hey, why not just string them all together?" It feels like a genius move in the moment—like you're outsmarting the system—but then reality hits. You've got five legs looking perfect, and then some random Tuesday night game ruins the whole dream. It’s a rollercoaster, honestly. One minute you're feeling like a high roller, and the next, you're staring at a losing ticket wondering where it all went wrong. I don't know, maybe it's just the thrill of the chase, but man, those parlays can be brutal. They're beautiful when they hit, but they definitely keep you humble. Or broke. Probably both. So, first you just pick whatever sport you're feeling—whatever’s on the menu today, I guess—and then you just hit continue. Once you're in that new menu, you start picking out the specific matchups you want to bet on... and then, once you've settled on however many games you're looking to play, you just click on... So, I was looking at my open parlay tickets earlier—just staring at them, really—and thinking about how much of a gamble the whole selection process actually is. It’s funny, isn't it? You sit there, feeling like a total genius because you've connected three different outcomes that seem perfectly logical on paper—maybe a couple of MLS matches and a random NBA spread—and then reality just... happens. I guess what I'm getting at is that picking those legs feels like trying to predict the weather in Chicago while standing in a hurricane. You think you've got a pattern, you think you've found that one little edge, but then some random underdog decides to ruin your entire afternoon. It's a bit of a rollercoaster, honestly. One minute you're feeling pretty confident about your picks, and the next, you're just watching a single goal or a missed free throw evaporate everything you worked for. Maybe I'm being too cynical, or maybe I just haven't learned how to stop overthinking the math behind it all. Either way, it's quite the ride. It’s right there at the top and the bottom—honestly, doesn't really matter which one you click. Either way, it’ll pull up that nice, clean little ticket you just put together. All you gotta do is punch in the amount and hit "place bet." Easy enough, I guess.

Charles Wright, I've got those Pinnacle handicap rules right here for you. Just look under section 5, Handicap Betting, in the soccer category.

Also, I put together a quick little comparison between the odds at DraftKings and Marathonbet. Just to see how they stack up, I guess.

Today's game:

Werder Bremen-Hamburger SV both books have the home win at 2.00 odds.

If you bet at DraftKings:$33
winnings:$60.
95 (after a 5% vig) * 2 = 190
95 / 10 = 9.5 (that's the 10% tax)
190 - 9.5 = $60

profit: $27

If you bet at Marathonbet:$33
winnings > $67

profit: $33

In this specific scenario, you'd walk away with 19.5% more profit by going with Marathonbet.

Here's another one for you. These are the top three most popular picks over at DraftKings today and their current odds.

AS Roma-Atalanta BC Home win at 1.45
CF Villarreal-Córdoba CF Home win at 1.3
Manchester City-West Ham Home win at 1.25

total odds: 2.3563
stake:$33
winnings:$70
profit:110.97

Now, looking at Marathonbet

AS Roma-Atalanta BC Home win at 1.42
CF Villarreal-Córdoba CF Home win at 1.3
Manchester City-West Ham Home win at 1.27

total odds: 2.344
stake:$33
winnings: 234.44
profit:134.44

With this setup, we end up making 17.46% more by sticking with Marathonbet.

haha, so I was totally sitting there thinking I was typing in dollars when my card was actually set to euros 😵

anyway, do you happen to know what kind of exchange rate they're using to convert it?

swiftlynx34 said:Hey guys, my Neteller Mastercard expires in May. Are they going to just mail me a new one automatically?
Is there a fee for that, or is it free?

https://help.neteller.com/app/answer...V6am5obQ%3D%3D

Well, if you look at the table right there, it says card replacements cost 10 bucks. So, since you asked—if anyone actually knows the answer to this next part, please chime in.

I was looking at using their plastic Mastercard in dollars, and I noticed the ATM withdrawal fee is like $4 plus a 2.95% conversion fee. Does anyone know what kind of exchange rate they actually use? For instance, if I want to pull out $100 and the rate is 7.60, that would be $253 and then I’m getting hit with an extra $4 plus that 2.95% conversion. So basically, they’d be stripping an extra $6.95 from my account in that scenario. I guess the real question is, is it better to hunt for an ATM from a bank with a decent buying rate, or does Neteller actually have a better rate than the local banks? And what happens if the rate drops to 7.53 just because the ATM doesn't have enough small bills?
Plasma Donation in Health ·
They aren't actually taking on any new donors at the moment. As for the weight thing—I'm pretty sure they only weigh you during that first visit and then that's it. I mean, unless you start feeling a bit lightheaded after the donation and they get suspicious about how you're looking, then maybe they’ll give you another weigh-in 😁. From what I know, they only run the iron tests once a year. Anyway, here is their direct line if you want to call and grill them about whatever you need: 6414-209
Plasma Donation in Health ·
I mean, what is there even to hide? If people started acting like that, they’d basically just be shooting themselves in the foot. Your blood gets tested every single time you show up to donate plasma—that’s just how it works—and the plasma itself goes through the same scrutiny. Plus, someone who hasn't donated a drop of blood in their entire life can still go in and donate plasma. At the Rockefeller center, they actually pay you because, let's face it, there is massive money to be made revolving around plasma. From what I gather, it's used for manufacturing all sorts of medications, though maybe there are other uses too. These $50 you get as compensation isn't nearly as much as what the healthcare system rakes in from us donors. There are a few people out there who donate for free, I guess, but if those folks at Rockefeller stopped offering payment, we'd be looking at a massive shortage pretty fast.

Man, I got absolutely screwed too. Seriously—three tickets in a row, all of them busted by some last-second madness in the final 20 seconds of the game. Just my luck, I guess. 🙄

About a month ago, I tried my hand at a double ticket parlay for some high-stakes EuroLeague basketball—just a little gamble, you know?—and both games ended in draws. Honestly, I’ve chased that specific parlay so many times that my head actually hurts from thinking about it. I guess I just can't seem to catch a break.

I can't even begin to describe how Durant absolutely wrecked me with that buzzer-beater 😢. That shot basically incinerated two of my tickets in one go—I had him under 29.5 points on one and the Mavericks to win on the other... man, I honestly can't believe it

I managed to hit 😁, though I totally blew it on another ticket by going way too heavy on the Chris Evans over 😢.

For today, I guess my best bets might be the Hawks and the 76ers, maybe.
Does anyone happen to know how long their set should actually be?
